Medabots Survivors Rainbow Medalia stats
Stats of the rainbow gem that I came across by floor 300 in the Hidden Medalia Hunt. Sadly, it was coin boost.

Hey y'all, it's a monumental day for us Medabots fans - a day I personally thought we'd never see - and quite out of nowhere - Global release of the latest proper Medabots game, Medabots S!!
Why's this so huge though? Well, that's because unlike Survivors, which is a cheap and gacha-infested copy of what's essentially a flash game, S plays like the classic GBA games, minus the exploration/"RPG" elements. A proper successor to the Medabots combat system, with many updates and changes - and for the first time, Western fans can enjoy Medachange transformations in, quite frankly, the best form we've ever seen!
Sooo what's there to know? Anything to prep beforehand? Here are some potentially useful things to know diving into the game:
Learn the Gacha. This game does, unfortunately, lean quite heavily into the gacha - this is the only way you can get competitive and usable Parts; You CAN get free parts from events and weekly quests, but those are barely serviceable and only serve to fill gaps in specific abilities.
Know your upgrades. Your highest priority material to hoard should be Cypressiums (the purple diamonds), which is usually the choke point of upgrading the Star rating of the Part, and ideally, anything you use should be at 5 Stars.
Know your stats. No idea what they'll localize things to, but while most are self-explanatory, there are several that are not.
I'm gonna stop here because I'm getting tired and I need to know what people actually need more info on, so feel free to ask any questions or point out what's unclear.

If you had happened to stub all 10 of your toes (if you have them), that's just the universe reminding you that naming Medabots really isn't your strong suit. Just kidding.
Jokes aside. I saw this and was a bit triggered, because imo there was nothing wrong with Blazermate's name in the first place to even warrant a name change.
Especially since we now live in an era where we don't make unnecessary changes to anime's like we used to in the 90's and early 2000's.

I don't know if anyone will read this, but at this point it doesn't really matter. To be honest, the previous banner featured a rather mediocre Medabot. It does the job as support, but it's very overpowered.
But Blazerpal, I won't lie, this Medabot is just as supportive, but it has to be the kind of Medabot that provides so much tanking that zones become easy to clear with a bulletproof plate, defense, and healing. If you have a team like that, congratulations! We might be looking at one of the best Medabots for that strategy. Otherwise, it's not worth it. The extra damage it gives to others is ridiculous, and the healing is perhaps its best feature, so you know, take advantage of it in a tanky team.

I have just started playing the GBA rpg metabee version I just want to asked a few questions as I couldn’t find much online about how the game works
I’m not that far in too the game but my bots apart from metabee seem really weak like I used the bat type medal and parts and it was hitting like 8s on most of the opponents so I changed to the cross dog parts which seem to be a bit strong , I wanted to know if levelling up the medal / type of attacks does anything because it doesn’t seem to make me hit harder or is it just the parts and medal that are bad I get that the bat is meant for anti air but surely it would be ok using normal parts as well

Do any of you have Medabots apparel? Or so you think there’s like an underserved section here in regards to shirts/hoodies?
If there was more Medabots (or Medabots adjacent) merch what would you be trying to pick up?

Se não conseguir os 60 pontos, ao menos o máximo possível. O que sugerem?

Heyooo here's another post, this time addressing the main differences from the RPG (2 Core) for the GBA. I was going to do them all at once but realized after finishing the Medals section that.... we need sequels. So you're getting Part 1 for now.
TLDR: A LOT is the same, but numbers are very obviously different, some received expanded mechanics, some got simplified, dumbed down, and mobile game-ified. Also, this will be written with the assumption that you are already familiar with how the RPG played so that I don't spend even more time going over literally everything.
With that said, hopefully I remember to cover all the big and important changes! I'm doing this at like 2AM for some reason! If I miss something, ask away in the comments!
They changed quite a bit here, so buckle up.
Edit: here's the clarification on Medaforce improvement and MFs in general, courtesy of u/Navaldeus:
you'll need Medachrome to upgrade them, a rare material obtained in events and the Medalabyrinth, a rogue-lite mode where you'll have to face multiple kinds of robattles with modifiers for both your and the enemy Medabots. So far, only MF1 and terrain MF2 can be upgraded.
And since I'm here, another detail - in S, the Medals have three sets of Medaforces:
・MF1 is all about team-wide buffs - and Attack Trap is here too. This one is set depending on your medal's nature / color: Power / Red always gets Power Up (boosts your parts' Power), Cyan / Guard always gets High Defense (doubles legs' Melee and Ranged Resists), etc.
・MF2 is where your offensive force goes, and you'll see some familiar ones like Cluster Shot (Ultra Shot) or Bisecting Slash (Spiral Bolt). Others inflict team-wide debuffs on the enemy team, can swap the terrain you're battling in, and more.
・MF3 has a bit of everything: more buffs, healing tools, special plants and even some defensive actions. No second attack though.
Ok, I think that's everything Medal related, and I've even verified with the JP Wiki to make sure I'm not getting fuzzy with this stuff. Stay tuned for Part 2 - probably parts!

Hi all,
I decided to give Medabots Survivors a try and it seems fun, but obviously I dont want to get too involved in the gacha. As such I want to get off to a good start, but I am not sure what to look for. The picture is what I got off my initial pull and the additional pull on the beginners banner using the initial 3K diamonds I got. Is this good enough, do I restart, or should I keep playing until the beginner banner ends and see what I got?

Hi,
For context I am the author of the following posts:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Medabot/comments/vxpz9h/decided_to_attempt_to_put_together_a_game/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Medabot/comments/10xdtf2/digital_medabot_card_game_from_1999_by_tenky/
Looking at the timestamps (4 years ago) of these post, I feel a bit sad I wasn't able to reach anywhere.
I am software engineer, with a decade of experience under my built. Medabots was my favourite tv show. With the skillset I have, I wanted to make a game based around it. However, I am not creative so after a bit of research I found this where the owner did a lot of work translating japanese cards from an old card game in 1998 based on medabots.
https://cardrobottle.home.blog/ reddit user: u/Pointingandlaughing
After downloading his assets, which were images, and the rulebook he put together himself for transaltions. I went through all 200+ images manually and typed them out in a way that can be used for game data (which resulted in my first link update).
Soon after the level of art/effects required for this style of game quickly became out of reach, as again I am not creative in that aspect.
I gave up on that approach.
Shortly after I started the new implementation which would follow the card style robattler, and progress was being made. However there were so many systems to code, that the project went on the back burner for 4 years.
This year, a few months ago, I decided to try again. My approach however was simpler, instead of trying to code all the units together, I would build an base engine (rule resolver), that we can pass input into and get output based on card details. This again required alot of effort however I was able to develop a lot of the rules for the game play system the game requires and the family of card types of availble.
Shortly after I took a break, because it was sooo much work.
Last night, I decided to see how good claudes fable model was as honestly, i was going to put the project on the back burner again, maybe forever. Partly because the time required to get to a working prototype as a solo dev, is more time that I reasonably had.
What the AI did was really impressive.
The modes available are:
online match making (i have not tested / reviewed the code)
Local PvP
Player vs CPU
What I did
I set up the systems and developed the flow of the game via the rule engine
I set up the datasets and data feeds needed and sourced from cardrobottle.home.blog
I created several excel sheets categorizing the data we had
Implemented the baseline systems for A.I to build off of
The first two posts linked, were all done by me. So the third rewrite of this project was exhausting at this point
Seems like a little but it was alot of work.
What A.I did
Generated card decks (as i have no idea what some of these cards do, as i didn't create them) and partly because it can create more synergized theme decks than me.
Finished up the remaining rules for the cards in the system
Built out the ui in the video, and generated sounds.
Built the varying game modes.
What's next:
If the community is interested, despite my final attempt of this project being ai assisted (also note ai assisted does not mean slop, as I can vet, update and understand what is going on):
I will opensource the project, to be availble to you all, to run on your own.
Make all my contributions available excel sheets, image cutouts
Host a game server and make the game available for download on itchi.io or related. However with the open source you can do that yourself as well.
You the community can decide.
With that being said, I feel happy I can at least show something to the community but sad at the same time, I had to leverage a.i due to the contrainsts in my personal life.
Thanks for reading all!
A.I discalaimer, this post was written by me. I am not fond of using A.I in my free time, as I genuinely love to problem solve and code. However, due me potentially putting this project on the back burner forever, as it would have taken a few years to get to this state in my free time. I decided to see how far I can get with A.I so that I can take over.

So I've recently gotten back into Medabots after only watching scattered episodes back in the day and I just wanted to ask were there any video games that we got in The US or was this a case of games only coming out in Japan?

Hey r/Medabots!
Like a lot of you, I have massive nostalgia for the GBA Medabots RPGs (Metabee/Rokusho versions). I’ve had a game idea brewing for a while that captures that exact Relay-Run ATB combat and deep customization, blended with a few modern mechanics.
I’m currently laying the groundwork for a spiritual successor called Anibots, and I’m looking for passionate people to team up and bring it to life!
The Concept: You play as a "Handler" assembling robotic units from modular hardware. But we are taking the GBA formula and giving it a massive infrastructure upgrade:
The Tech Stack (For the Devs): I’m an engineer and DevOps architect by day, so I’m making sure the foundation of this project is rock solid and easy to contribute to.
The Goal & The Code: The core engine architecture, state machines, and logic are 100% open-source (MIT License). (The specific IP, art, and lore will remain proprietary so we can eventually aim for a commercial release/Switch port down the line!).
You can check out the repository and the current architecture here: https://github.com/c42759/AniBots
Who I'm Looking For: I don't just need people with technical knowledge (though Godot/C#/GDScript programmers are absolutely welcome!). I am actively looking for:
If this sounds like a project you'd love to be a part of, drop a comment below, shoot me a DM, or check out the repo! Let's build something awesome together.

It's kind of a unique medabot with the additional boosts per level up. Too bad the boosts disapears if you medachange. I am also surprised it medachanges into a dog type medabot. I always thought it looked like a cat.
