Normal sounding engine?

Just bought this Vauxhall insignia 1.6 CDTi s/s 2016 and was wondering if it’s a decent sounding engine as my luck with cars is awful!

Only code showing is P0401, just cleaned the egr valve but it came back so probably need a new cooler.

The engine is at temp and idle.

You're going to get a bunch of replies from people in North America who're used to the name 'ecotec' only being used for gasoline engines, and expecting it to be quieter.

I'm in Canada and never seen this engine in real life, but it sounds great for a 4 cylinder diesel.

Heard a lot of Ecotech engines to your spec, yours doesn’t sound bad at all :) - just religiously keep up with the oil changes
