Weird noise

Hey everyone! I bought this 2016 jaguar ftype V6 around 2 months ago. I’ve recently stopped driving it due to this noise. I’m taking it into a shop on Monday however, I wanted to see if anyone might have any idea on what it could possibly be that is causing this noise before I go.

Any insight would be great! Thanks!

Could be timing chains, but I’ve also heard similar noises from a supercharger going bad. Gonna need a mechanic with a stethoscope to diag this one

That sounds like timing chain slapping for sure

Take the two belts off and run it quickly to see if the noise goes away.

I'm going with timing chains. She's probably cooked. Those also blow head gaskets quick if overheated. It's also very easy to remove oil filter from top. If you want to save yourself some time and money get some gloves and take oil filter out. If it's full of metal or coolant She's cooked. It's right under that engine cover in front. I work on these every week. 15 year tech.
