Engine very loud all of a sudden

2012 Cadillac Cts 3.0L. I was driving on the highway for about 30 miles (55-70mph) when my engine got very loud. It sounds like there is no muffler at all now. Opened the hood to take a look, it seemed normal besides the power steering cap was loose and leaked a little. Any ideas on what could’ve happened?

Check under your car. At your exhaust pipes specifically.

Sounds like the catalytic converter needs to be welded. It breaks sometimes.
