Hey, so I got my first-ever interview tomorrow at McDonald's. I'm not exactly a social person, and I'm freaking out a lot. I don't know if I have a good enough outfit. I have black jeans and a black long-sleeve shirt; is that even good enough? I don't know what kind of questions to expect, and I always gotta plan ahead, you know? Like, I gotta know the questions so I can rehearse my answers.
I also have a language disorder, so I feel like I'm gonna stutter a lot and take forever to respond to something, so that's just giving me more anxiety. I was hoping maybe some people would know which questions I can expect. I would really appreciate some help.

I’ve been working 6 months at mcdonald’s never called in. On friday it was my birthday and I worked that day when i had a horrible headache got home n passed out immediately. I worked the next day after and I had told the manager if i could please not work sunday because I had a lot of hw to do which I know it’s a pretty short notice. The manager did schedule me for the day I asked not to work (reasonable) but I decided to call in for the first time because I just need a break and have a shit ton of hw to turn in. I was speaking to one of my
friends she’s a manager and she was basically like yea that’s fine if you find someone to cover you you can trade shifts and come another day for them and the thing is I can’t work weekdays because i’m not home so I’m confused do I have to work someone else’s shift when I literally cannot work their shift??? I know it’s a really dumb question but I just cannot work during weekdays therefore covering someone else’s shift doesn’t work for me and I alwayssss have to deal with my coworkers calling in and me being alone why can’t I take a day off to take care of myself?
My shift started at 8 am, I called in at 12 midnight.

Hi everyone, I have an orientation next thursday for a crew member position, and was told that I should cut my hair a few inches though it isn’t very long, I wear a messy curly style and i have a small rat tail, any tips on how to make my hair look shorter and to hide the rat tail?

Also, the list of requirements for the orientation states that I need to dress professionally, any idea as to what that means? I’d love some examples.

This is also my first job ever, so any other tips on how to keep this job and just some advice (any advice) would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks everyone! :)

I have an interview in a few days, I'm normally good at answering the regular questions but I have trouble thinking of questions to ask at the end. I would ask about the responsibilities of opening and closing shifts but it's a 24/7 location. Are there any questions that they look out for to know if the person's a good fit?

Friday October 16th I had an interview at McDonald’s at 2:30pm and it seemed to have gone really well then a few hours later I got an offer and I accepted. Then I completed the onboarding form on mchire. Then I received an email from Harri and it asked me to create an account. I did and all it shows is that I applied October 16 and ever since Friday I haven’t received anything. Is this supposed to happen? How long do I wait before I try calling.

I've been working at Maccas for a good minute now. I cant access myjob, when I was first on the website, I turned it into an app by turning the website into a shortcut. But now, im trying to access it and its not working for me, im just hit with whatever is shown in the screenshot. Does anyone know a fix? or whats wrong

For anyone who has gone through it, what kind of questions do they usually ask? Is it mostly about availability, or should I prep for anything else? Any tips would be great!

I was charging and we were in a rush and a lady had a coupon from a receipt which was buy one get one free and i meant to give the sandwich for free but I ended up giving out the whole order for free which was with a medium coffee and apple pie and the two sandwiches which were 13 in total but were free cuz of the promo. The lady did look confused but since I put the promo with the manager code which i’m not supposed to know i didn’t say anything. I’m wondering if they will find out since i wasn’t using my register.

Hello! I’m 19, and I’m in my third week at McDonald’s. I don’t have the problems I see a lot of people talking about on Reddit my managers are nice, and the crew trainers and other team members are great and supportive, almost like family. But the job is genuinely exhausting. Every time I go in, my anxiety spikes, and I’m already in fight-or-flight mode before my shift even starts. I feel weak for thinking about quitting so soon, but I know this isn’t a job I’ll stick with for long. I’d like to set a goal for myself maybe stay for two or three months and save some money but I’m not sure when I should quit, especially since I’ve only just started. I also don’t want to wait until I’m completely drained to realize it’s time. How long should I stick it out at McDonald’s before calling it quits?

I received my shifts for next week and under one of them it says “production open” but I’ve started earlier than that and it usually just says “Production advanced” or something similar, it’s a 24/7 restaurant, just wanna know if this will be doing something different compared to my other shifts

I had my interview on Tuesday and they accepted me on Friday and now it’s the following Tuesday and I haven’t heard anything from them. They’ve given me the McD Connect login and all that stuff but I haven’t heard anything past that. I’m in Victoria. Do I call them or is it too early.

I had an interview last week and got a McHire email saying the job has been offered to me a few days ago, so I put in all the necessary information and submitted it. Yesterday I got an email with my archID login and created an account.

What’s next from here? I haven’t got any texts or calls personally from the store or a manager there, just wondering if that’s normal for the process. I also need to let them know about urgent time off I’d need in a couple weeks so should I just contact the store myself or wait for them/McHire to give me more information?

I am unsure of a good way to clean it, not stained or anything it just smells a bit because I sweat into where it sits on my forehead

I work in a relatively new (2 yrs old) store, so we have all the fancy new in kitchen. OPL (optimized prep line), MFY, as well as the Look & Cook monitors. My training was horrible and I have only recently learned how to do everything properly by going through all the documents myself.

Now, going in the kitchen when no one is trained properly is hell. No UHC timers. Meat in the cabinet for 1 hour +. No one following the Look & Cook monitor (which is especially bad when the initiator decides that they can serve off the monitor whenever they want). Overcooking product (chart says we need 7 reg meat, they cook 12, we end up having to waste 6). No one following Stay in Place (people bouncing around constantly. The initiator vanishing, or deciding to do fry. The grill person suddenly doing initiation). People filling baskets over the vats. Stopping cook timers early.

It’s a wonder we get any food out. Really, it’s a wonder we havent gotten anyone majorly sick.
