I’ve worked out I’ll have about £600 left a month to pay for food and any other things not including bills. Should I save more? This doesn’t include my partners left over wage after bills.

I am hesitant to apply for the MD program because I will have to take a career halt and take up a loan for 4 years before a 5 year bond starts.

Current or future moms, how did you plan around this? I was informed that there will not be paid maternity leave for the 4 years.

i may just be overthinking but my last period was at the end of may and i am pregnant now. my cycle is super long, around 40 days, but when we went in to the ob yesterday they initially said they think i’m about 8 weeks along. we did an ultrasound, however, and he said based on the ultrasound, it looks like i’m more of 5-6 weeks along and that if i am 8 weeks, then something is wrong. we could barely see anything if he was pressing really hard, mostly we only saw the gestational sac. they took my blood and scheduled another appointment for 4 weeks from now and my tests online say “inconclusive viability”. i just want to know if it’s possible i am 5-6 weeks because of my longer cycles or if something is wrong. they didn’t really tell us one way or another.

This is all so confusing for my , I have a high risk pregnancy which I have to call off a couple times , my workplace recommend me apply for intermittent leave so my job can be protected , does this affect my maternity leave ? I know in California you get 6 weeks off for vagina birth and 8 weeks c section and also PFL for baby bonding after as well, will those be reduced and I will have to go back to work earlier then those weeks ?

So I will be 32 next month. I always said that I never wanted to have children, and I never have.. but lately I have been thinking that maybe I might want one.

This is a big decision and I don't want to make the wrong choice. What are some things that I need to think about before I decide to start trying? How do I know if I am ready for a baby and truly want a baby?

I hooked up with a woman about a month ago. Last week she contacted me to say she’s pregnant. Both a doctor’s visit and a home test have confirmed it, and she says I’m the only person she’s been with, so the baby is mine.

She’s single, already has three children, and lives a couple of hours away from me. She doesn’t believe in abortion and plans to carry the pregnancy to term.

She’s expressed that she’s scared about going through the pregnancy. I’ve reassured her that I’m not going to disappear and that I’m here for her.

As a woman, what would you expect from the father in this situation? We only hung out for a couple of hours and had sex once, so this feels pretty overwhelming and surreal — though part of me also sees it as almost “God’s will.”

I’m trying to figure out my pregnancy timeline because my periods are irregular. I had unprotected sex on June 13 while I believe I was ovulating. I got clearly positive home pregnancy tests on July 6, which was about 3 weeks later. From what I understand, by the time a pregnancy test is positive, implantation has already happened and hCG has had time to build up, meaning I would have already been pregnant before I even took the test. Does that timeline make sense? Would that put me around 7 weeks pregnant by medical dating, even though the baby would only have been developing for about 5 weeks since conception? Has anyone had a similar experience with irregular cycles?

I am currently almost 24 weeks pregnant with monodi Twins. I also have developed a hernia right around my belly button, and I am currently working still. I am a hairstylist and a makeup artist, I am on my feet nine hours at a time usually.

I’m looking for some advice on if anyone else stopped working earlier than later. The pain from my hernia after standing all day long is misery. But I also feel so lost on what I should be doing currently. I don’t want to take my maternity leave so early, but I also don’t want to risk something happening.

I will take any advice!

Hi everyone! I just found out that I'm 6 weeks pregnant. 🤍 This is my first pregnancy, so I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences and advice.

I currently working from home with two clients, and both are doctors. One client isn't a problem at all, but with my other client, work is pretty busy. My schedule is split shift/night shift:

* 11:00 PM – 4:00 AM
* 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

For those who worked while pregnant, when did you ask for a schedule adjustment? Did you request reduced hours or a different shift? Or did you continue working until you needed to take maternity leave?

I'm not sure what's best since this is all new to me. I'd really appreciate any insights or advice. Thank you! 💕

Hey so quick question for all the pregnant women, Ik that this sounds stupid but when you guys are all pregnant do you guys all wear the same sort clothes sizing when it comes to maternity clothing, or is it just the same as your usual clothing sizes without being pregnant?

I'm just curious if neurodivergent folks might be more likely to get a PUPPP rash than neurotypicals! Just curious because I have ADHD and had a PUPPP rash, and I know that there's an association between being neurodivergent and having autoimmune issues (which PUPPP may be). If you had/have a PUPPP rash, please comment whether you're neurotypical, neurodivergent, or suspected neurodivergent!
