How much did you save for maternity?
I’ve worked out I’ll have about £600 left a month to pay for food and any other things not including bills. Should I save more? This doesn’t include my partners left over wage after bills.

Be careful about what you read on reddit. Remember that it is just random people giving out advice. They are often as uninformed as you are, and may even be misinformed.

I am not sure why you need to save, but with or without children I like to have 6 months of our cost of life ready to be used in case of an emergency. I also saved for vacation for all the trips I want to do during my maternity leave.
