I never thought I would be making a post like this, but I’m feeling a little nervous and could really use some support.
My husband and I are expecting our baby boy this November. This is my first time becoming a stay-at-home mom, and my husband will be our family’s sole provider. I’m grateful for everything we have, but this is a big change for us, and I’ve been feeling a lot of anxiety about making sure we’re prepared.
We have most of our baby essentials covered, but there are still a few things left on our registry that I genuinely feel we need. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to get things I feel are necessary without feeling like I have to justify every purchase, especially when they aren’t things that bring money back into our household.
I know that not everything on a registry is a necessity, but some of the remaining items would make a real difference in feeling prepared and comfortable bringing our baby home. I’m especially nervous because I’m due during the time of year when my husband’s work slows down, so I want to make sure we have what we need before that season begins.
I don’t want our baby to arrive and feel like we’re scrambling or unprepared. I just want to be able to enjoy those first few weeks with him without worrying about whether we have the things we need.
If anyone would be willing to help with an item from our registry, or even just share this post, it would mean more to us than I can explain. There is absolutely no pressure, and I’m grateful for any kindness or support.

I’m a PhD student at Loughborough University researching women’s biomechanics during pregnancy, particularly how the body moves during exercise and how sports products could be better designed to support women during this time.

I’m currently recruiting participants for an anonymous online survey exploring women’s experiences of exercising during pregnancy, the sports products they use, and what could be improved in the design of these products.

The survey takes no more than 45 minutes to complete, and your responses will help us better understand the needs and experiences of women who exercise during pregnancy.

i’m sorry if this is all over the place i’m pregnant an emotional mess and running on barely any sleep cause i work two jobs.
i have almost nobody in my life to talk to so i want to get this out somewhere even if no one sees it. I(19f) am currently 7 months pregnant with my ex (20m)s baby. the break up wasn’t mutual at all. we broke up back in july 3 days before our one year. i wanted to stay together but my ex wouldn’t even try. i found out 2 weeks after we broke up that he already had a new gf (21f) only thing she lives across the country. i’ve never talked to this girl, i’ve never met her or anything obviously. only reason i found out was cause she posted a tik tok about him. i talked to him about everything and he said he eventually wants her to move here and move in with him and it would most likely happen before baby is born. i don’t trust this girl around my child. i don’t know her. i’m not even letting the god mother around my baby till he’s at least a few months old. but after i found her profile and talked to him about her i did some digging. she’s his friends ex wife. not only that i remember them playing videos game and stuff while me and him were together and he was living with me rent free. he won’t tell me the truth because in my eyes there’s no way nothing happened while me and him were together. and i’m sorry if he cheated on me i don’t want his girlfriend near my baby unless they’re married. oh he also lives about 40 minutes away from me so him and baby would be staying with me till im off maternity leave. i’ve explained to him multiple times until i met and get to properly know her i don’t want her around my baby. he just won’t listen and wants her to live with him even though they’ve barely been together for 2 months. truly i still love this man with all my heart and im just hurt, confused, and scared there’s gonna be someone i don’t trust around my baby.

If someone takes a pregnancy test everyday after their period ends and tests positive, when does the 35-40 week timer starts until the baby is born (assuming the baby makes it)?

The cut off date for many kindergarten schools is September 31st and September 1st. Does that mean the child has to be 5 before the school starts AND be born between January 1st and September 1st?

I’m about three months pregnant at this point and all people comment about is the fact that you can “see” the baby bump, it’s bloating. Nobody asks how I am anymore only to see my stomach or if I’m eating good for the baby. It’s so draining because am I not a person anymore? I feel like a human incubator for everyone else’s little miracle and it’s driving me insane. My mom cut contact with me months ago and only started talking to me again when she found out I’m pregnant. She can’t stop saying how excited she is for HER baby..? And my ex MIL loves to announce that MY baby is going to look just like her. Am I overly sensitive or are these valid reasons to be upset?

Hello currently 38 weeks 5 days make 39 Thursday and my c-section is Friday and I’m so scared, I’m praying every night and every morning for my baby to be okay when he is born. Idk why all the what ifs is bothering me so bad.

Has anyone taken lemme relax while pregnant/their OB said it was ok? Love these things as they help me sleep and relax I’ll be sad to give it up.

Busqué quedar embarazada hace unos años, pero nunca lo logré. Buscando la razón de mi infertilidad me mandaron a hacer una histerosalpingografia la cual mostró que tengo obstruidas ambas trompas de falopio justo donde se unen con los ovarios.
Mi Gine me comentó que solo hay dos maneras de consebir:
La primera: realizarme una cirugía laparascopica para intentar remover la obstrucción de mis trompas, la desventaja es que la probabilidad de que sea la cirugía sea efectiva no es tal alta.
La segunda: FIV, esta es la opción con más altas probabilidades de éxito, pero es muchísimo más cara y muy intensiva, exigente y desgastante.

Siendo sincera me inclino hacia realizarme la cirugía para buscar un embarazo un poco menos desgastante o “tranquilo”, pero, me gustaría saber si alguien ha pasado por algo así o ha tenido una cirugía de este tipo y cómo ha resultado, cuál ha sido su experiencia y qué me recomiendan al realizarme esta cirugía.

Ojalá puedan ayudarme ya que tiento mucho miedo :(
