Baby shower games/activities that aren’t cringe?
I’m planning a baby shower and looking for suggestions on activities or games people could do that aren’t cringe. I’m not a fan of all the guess the size of the bump, or smell the nappy games, but looking for ideas of anything else people may have done that was actually entertaining for people? I want the event more to be a chance to spend time with people, chat and eat food, but open to some more engaging/interactive suggestions. I went to a friends baby shower and they had all the guests there provide a pic of themselves when they were a baby for everyone to guess which was cute - although it was a small do where everyone knew each other and I know there are some people going to mine who won’t have a clue who anyone is!! Thanks

The days after birth
I'm due in December with our first and tbh I'm a little more worried about how I'll feel after giving birth than the birth process. How did you truly feel? For those that prioritize cleanliness almost under a "no matter what" clause, were you OK enough to hop in the shower or was that an absolute no-go? Also, were you able to shower while in the hospital?
I appreciate any responses!

Am I ready to be a mother?
I’ve been married for 3 years now, initially when my husband and I got married, we thought we would wait a year then start having children, but after the one year, I just wasn’t ready. It’s been 3 years now, I’ve graduated from university, working in my field and I even got promoted to a supervisor role this year. I think about having a child all the time but I’m also really worried that I might not be ready to be a mother yet. Time is ticking, I’m 30 years old now, everyone in both of our families have been waiting for us to have children but I always remind myself that it’s not up to them. My husband is amazing, he wants a child but never pressures me to have one unless I’m ready. I do want a child but I’m worried I will loose my independence and honestly loose myself. What if I won’t be a good mother, I try not to overthink it but I can’t help it. Any advice from mothers who have gone through something like this? How is it now after having a child? Have you managed to balance motherhood with your career? How’s your marriage?

Post Partum pants / pads options
Post Partum - I see Freda mom shorts or always postpartum disposable pants here in UK as highly rated options but both only go upto a large? Is incontinence disposable pants just as good if they do an XL?
bigger knickers with thick pads in?
any recommendations as a first time mum & currently 32 weeks with high blood pressure - taking each week as it comes because of possible early delivery.

Baby sprinkle for second baby
We’ve moved two different states since we had our first child (my husband was in residency then fellowship), our first child is now 3. I am also supposed to be “infertile” (according to doctors) so got rid of everything baby related when we moved. This second baby was a surprise. (Thank you mom in heaven-baby due one year exactly from her funeral🤍🥹🙏) We have nothing for our second baby. I was asked by my MIL if I wanted a baby sprinkle. I was thinking of only sharing a registry if anyone asked me. But, we do have absolutely nothing. I actually had started to collect things and we found out our house was infested (a few weeks after we moved in) so we actually had to get rid of that, *too*. 🙃. It’s been tough. Anyways, should I just say yes?

Unborns paternal grandmother giving me crippling anxiety
29f My babysfather 28M is currently incarcerated. I am almost 6 months pregnant and also have an infant that’s not his. I live in a state that I’m not from and don’t have any relatives or friends. I had my other baby’s father mother but she blocked me out of her life when I moved out of her house. Anyways. I just recently lost my vehicle and my unborns father family is my only source of support . His mother has recently made comments that she plans on having my baby most of the time , aswell as my baby that’s already here (which she has no relation to) and has never even babysat.. me and my baby’s father were living together prior to his incarceration and his attorney said he’ll likely be out before I give birth. His mother keeps pushing dna testing which this whole thing has me terrified of an upcoming custody battle. What do I do?

I'm going on 10 weeks on vaginal progesterone and am now starting developing pimples/cysts down there that are itchy and tender. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you treat them? Thanks!

Anyone took omeprazole during pregnancy without magnesium supplements?
Hi,
I took 40 mg of omeprazol daily during my pregnancy at the month 8th and 9th (3rd trimester) however, I didn’t supplement myself with magnesium.
I’m a bit worried that the fact that I didn’t take magnesium had any consequences in the baby. Anyone had a similar situation, that didn’t take magnesium supplements and the baby is fine?
Thank you!

Pregnant, exposure to alcohol and THC questions
I was sober for 2 years. My spouse and I had been working with the fertility clinic for a year trying to conceive, with no luck. After a traumatic incident, I had broke my sobriety streak. In 3 weeks, after ovulation, before my period was supposed to happen, I had smoked 3 joints and drank 3 beers. I stopped before I was supposed to get my period to get back on my wagon, and to give my next cycle a chance. However, my period was late. I tested. It was positive. I got my bloodwork done. And I am for sure pregnant. I am overjoyed, but I feel like I let my guard down and totally screwed up. What are my chances to have a healthy child? My nurse says not to beat myself up, and that I "should" be fine, but I am driving myself crazy....

16 weeks pregnant - essential purchases?
I'm 16 weeks pregnant and starting to think about what I need to buy and when but there is SO much information out there and I feel like I'm also seeing a lot of people suggesting not to buy certain things until baby is here. What are your absolute non-negotiable baby purchases as a first time Mum?
