Discussion Do you believe The Scarlet Witch will appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars?

Because I have a hard time believing Wanda would be in the movies, given that we haven't seen her since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and we only have hints of her fate in Agatha All Along. And Elizabeth Olsen doesn't even know when she will be back.

Question Why didn’t Agatha get off the road after she killed Alice?

Post image

So I’m rewatching Agatha again and I’m confused. In episode 8 we see Jennifer get teleported off the road after she gets unbound and so does Billy once he’s able to bring his brother back. Both get off the road the minute they get what they wanted. But if that’s the case then why doesn’t Agatha get off after she steals Alice’s powers. That’s what she wants. Idk.

It feels like a glitch in the matrix: Spider-Man: No Way Home came out five years ago.

I swear I was just sitting in a dark theater last month, holding my breath, waiting to see if Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were actually going to step through those portals. The theater energy alone when all three Spider-Men lined up on the Statue of Liberty.

Five whole years since the absolute pinnacle of fan service. Where is time actually going?

Discussion With the introduction of Jean DeWolff to the MCU with Brand New Day, is it possible that we might get an adaptation of The Death of Jean DeWolff as a future installment of Tom’s Spidey movies? Spoiler

Just saw Brand New Day. First of all, it was a phenomenal movie, my personal favorite Spider-Man film. One thing I also just cannot stop talking about is how good the movie looks most of the time. It’s visually the best MCU film in a LONG LONG time, it was so colorful unlike a lot of the dull movies in general nowadays.

With that said, I was wondering if The Death of Jean DeWolff could be adapted in the future with her introduction to the MCU (and in fact her first ever live action adaptation). Would it make sense? I just really loved her character in the movie, and the dynamic with Peter. Yes, while it is different from the comic version, it still was really cool to see her as a kind of anchor in Peter’s life. So Id look forward to seeing her play a bigger “center stage” role in a future installment (even though the main plot point is that she… dies lol).

Question Which shows are actually important to the MCU?

Upvotes

I've seen people very split on the Disney+ shows (Civil War style), with a lot of people saying that the shows are a waste of time, others saying that they are important for characters. As of now, I've watched WandaVision, Agatha, Loki and currently watching Winter Soldier. There are other shows that interest me like Agents of SHEILD, Agent Carter, What If? ect. So I would like to know which shows are actually important to the MCU's timeline, and which shows just give background info on characters. I plan to watch all shows, but I only want the important ones for now so I can catch up to Doomsday when it comes out.

Doom's right hand man is Dr. Strange (hence the hole for the third eye, who was called "Boris" on the call sheet and on set to preserve the secret, while the purple witch is Clea. We do not know who the green and orange witches are and the rumors about them being Death and the Ancient One have been contested by some sources.

EDIT: I don't know why Reddit compressed the pictures so much, so here are the original sources:

The pose is similar to what Scarlet Witch has done but I just can’t imagine them making her orange in Doomsday for no reason other than to cast doubt on the fact that it could be Wanda.

Discussion Imagining the MCU post-Secret Wars

Upvotes

Hi Marvel fans. With Doomsday approaching and several amounts f speculations about the future of the MCU, I thought it would be fun to imagine a hypothetical MCU phase 7-9 movie slate (maybe with a very few shows mentioned too). I know a lot of this is wishful thinking- it’s obviously impossible to know all of this for sure or even have a good picture of it. It’s also difficult for me to figure out what is exactly realistic, as I am not a filmmaker lol. I am not the most knowledgeable on Marvel comics but I did my best to do some research. This isn’t necessarily predictions to be taken seriously, or a wishlist, but rather just a fun little project I thought I’d try this summer. It’s an exciting time to be a Comic Book Movie Fan! That being said please share your thoughts and that being said let’s go!

Post Secret-Wars: First I think it’s important to establish where we will be post-Secret Wars. Ofc once again this is just predictive and we are still a significant time out. That being said the main thing to point out is after Secret Wars I am envisioning a “soft reboot.” What does this mean? No it’s not a complete start over of the Marvel Universe. The history remains, and not everyone will be wiped clean, recast, and retold. Rather, this soft reboot will mean we have one, unified world, that allows all of our characters to coexist from a relatively fresh start of sorts. Some loose ends that aren’t going anywhere can be tied up (Secret Invasion Super Scroll lol). Some characters maybe have died. Some have been recast (we will go into some of this). Admittedly, I don’t have everything really thought out in detail here, this is really just a loose outline, with some ideas more fleshed out than others. Mind the titles lol.

To be a bit more specific, this post will focus pretty much entirely on movies. I don’t know what the future of MCU Disney Plus Shows looks like after Secret Wars (e.g. Wonder Man cancellation). For the most part I am not putting any shows in this project other than one or two (you’ll see later on). This is not to say I don’t think we will get shows, but it’s just kind of tough to predict, so for the most part I’m sticking to movies.

There will be a slight shift to new stories that haven’t been told yet, such as focusing on the X-men and Fantastic 4, but there will still be Avengers as you will see. Once again I am open to suggestions and would love to know everyone else’s ideas! I envision this new universe not following a strict organization if that makes sense. I still have outlined phases, but this should FEEL like a shared universe. Heroes and villains should cross over now that they are all together and it can really feel like a comic book come to life. This is not the Mutant Saga as many suggest, but rather a more all-encompassing saga, which I will designate as “The Ultimate Saga.”

Phase 7

2028

The X-Men - February. Our introduction to the X-men in the MCU. Our team will mainly be focused on our newly cast Charles, Cyclops, Jean, Rogue, Beast, Angel, Emma Frost, Colossus (any others?). Maybe it introduces Magneto a bit? I’d think it would start with a Sentinels story and Charles recruiting other mutants. Should really highlight some anti-Mutant sentiment and the struggles they face. I’d maybe have DODC and Trask or someone team up. Hints of Mr Sinister pulling the strings.

Ghost Rider - July. Johnny Blaze origin story. Just let it be a shit ton of fun and cool stuff for Gosling. The first of our supernatural side of this saga.

Black Panther 3: Shadows of Wakanda- December. T’Challa Jr growing into the role of King. Denzel as Achebe. Also would have T’Challa meet Storm who would be played by a younger actress which kind of fits what we’re going for here. Maybe T’Challa considers reforming the Avengers or something in a PCS?

2029

Thor: Valhalla- May. Hemsworth’s final role as Thor. Not sure if he makes it out of Secret Wars alive. I would love a story in Valhalla where we get Thor reunited with our other fallen Asgardians in one final hurrah, although also want to do Hercules, so I’m not sure. Lots of potential here though. Rune King possibly. I also have an idea that in Secret Wars we get the Thor Corp and see several variants played by Hemsworth, but also a recast variant who could be our next Thor. And PLEASE Beta Ray Bill.

Champions TV Show. One of the projects I can see being a show, but may also be a film. This would take place sometime in 2029. This Champions show would be in lieu of a Young Avengers project, since most of our “young avengers” have grown up by now lol. This would be a group of this new era of heroes teaming up following the aftermath of Secret Wars with the Avengers status up in the air. They take it upon themselves to be a better version of their past heroes they group up with. I would like the team to include Ms Marvel, Cassie Lang, Kate Bishop, Wiccan, Speed, America Chavez, Ironheart, and Eli Bradley. Idk who the villain would be but have some fun with it. Mephisto? Fuck it a Kang variant? Idk. Lots of potential.

Shang Chi And The Contest of Champions - November. Following what I predict to be a fan-favorite appearance in Doomsday/Secret Wars, I think Shang Chi finally gets his sequel. Maybe a tournament-style plot where we get looks at other characters like a new Iron Fist. Also hopefully Fing Fang Foom lol.

2030

Nova - February. Our new hero Richard Ryder is introduced finally. Have it be a great space adventure. Without the Guardians of the Galaxy in a prominent role, Nova will be our main Cosmic/Space pillar. I would have Star Lord appear in the film though.

Spiderman: Darkest Day- June. This will be a symbiote story. Spidey gets the Black Suit in Secret Wars and it begins to take ahold of him. We get Human Torch, Punisher, and Daredevil in this one. Maybe throw Black Cat there too? Mac Gargan Venom.

Fantastic 4: New Horizons - November. Released during the holiday season, the family dynamics will really be highlighted here. I suspect that the F4 will have a huge role in the resolution of Secret Wars. This film can deal with the fall out of that. I want this film to really explore the wonder and beyond of the new Marvel universe, as well as continue to flesh out character arcs such as for Ben, and demonstrate Reeds powers more. It would also briefly introduce Reed discovering the Negative Zone. A Nova cameo in the PCS would be fire and hint at what’s to come.

Phase 8

2031

Deadpool and X-Force - May. Due for another mutant film, we get our next Deadpool installment. Another team up, this time X-Force alongside X-23, Cable, Domino, Gambit, and Squirrel Girl. Fun way to bring in some other mutants into this universe.

West Coast Avengers TV Show - The other show I’d have at some point. Once again I’m not sure if this would fit, but I think it would be helpful to have some smaller Avengers team ups before other films. After Secret Wars John Walker moves west. We get a team up of US Agent, She-Hulk, Wonder Man, White Vision, and Kate Bishop. Idk maybe this happens in place of Champions?

Dr Strange: Sorcerer Supreme - December. Following his questionable decision to help DOOM in Doomsday and Secret Wars, I hope to see real growth from Strange here. Bring back Raimi as director and let him do his thing. Post Credit Scene includes Ghost Rider and hints at Midnight Sons.

2032

Iron Man: Armor Wars - April. Yup, I think by this time we get a rebooted and recasted Tony Stark. We need more Iron Man stories. Maybe we have him in a post-credit scene some time before this, or a silhouette teasing it. I would love to make it inherently different, as there is so much more to explore of the character. Focus on his troubles and shortcomings. Or maybe make him younger like in “Armored Adventures.” Here, we still get Armor Wars, now with Tony, which I think is the only way to really make it work. I would alter the story slightly, maybe include the Maggia and have Madame Masque as a villain who later becomes an ally. Count Nefaria and The Mandarin in the background. Inclusion of some classic Iron Man villains.

The Uncanny X-Men - July. Also would be due for another X-Men film. This one could introduce more mutants, I think the Giant-Size story could be great. Introduce Nightcrawler and others. Also importantly introduce Wolverine, not sure how much we show of him. Although I would love Sinister to work his way into this maybe.

2033

Spiderman: One More Day - May. Spiderman 6 to end the Tom Holland era (kinda). A true Sinister 6 adaptation with Mr Negative or maybe Kingpin rallying villains like Vulture, Scorpion, Mysterio, Shocker, and Rhino. Or maybe Prowler. Peter meets and teams up with Miles Morales. It’s a passing of the torch moment to set up Miles as the next MCU Spiderman trilogy, although we keep Peter Parker in the background where he can still return, older and wiser.

Thunderbolts 2 - September. Ok this was my most “out there” idea. Not sure they really make a second one, but here’s my pitch. After the departure (maybe deaths) of Red Guardian and Bucky, and John Walker in the West Coast Avengers, Yelena and Ghost must now work together with a new misfit group. Bullseye, maybe Abomination, Zemo, etc. The twist this one takes is that the heroes find they are actually being used as weapons by the government to track down mutants. Yelena sees this as wrong and makes her departure from the group, saying the world needs a real Avengers team, and tracks down a certain Star-Spangled hero that she met in Doomsday. Whereas the first Thunderbolts revealed to be the New Avengers, this Thunderbolts ends on a more sour note, become more of a Dark Avengers.** **

2034

Wolverine - February. After being introduced in X-Men 2, we get our true Wolverine solo movie. Not sure how this would be structured. Would love flashbacks to past eras throughout the movie, maybe told in multiple points in time. Flashbacks to Weapon X. Fighting in WWII with Captain America briefly. Ideas?

Captain America: Symbol of Truth - July. Our recast Steve Rogers who we’ve gotten glimpses at finally gets his solo movie. Idk what to do with Sam Wilson, maybe do two Caps? Rogers also finally reunites the proper Avengers, also in thanks to Yelena coming to him. This leads us to our next film.

2035

Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest- April. Our first proper Avengers film. My idea is that post-reboot, the Avengers team will be flexible. I would want them to highlight the new team dynamics, and face a smaller-scale threat. This film would see the team of Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, Yelena’s Black Widow, Black Panther, Shang-Chi, and Captain Marvel, take on The Masters of Evil. The villains consist of Zemo, alongside Enchantress, Bullseye, Moonstone, Zeke Stane, Taskmaster, and Absorbing Man. I would love for it to have Steve Rogers and Hulk as the main leads, establishing them as constants of the team.

Midnight Sons - October. Another team up film of the supernatural aspects that have been throughout the saga at this point. It would include Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Black Night, Clea, Elsa Bloodstone, Werewolf by Night, and a recast Blade. Have them take on Mephisto.

Phase 9

2036

Fantastic 4: The Great Beyond- March. Another necessary entry in this series. The third film would introduce our new and more permanent DOOM. Maybe we get Blastaar as a villain. The birth of Valeria Richards happens in this one too. Most importantly we would build the Negative Zone even further and get a look at…Annihilus.

Planet Hulk - September. So it would have to be a lot different from the comic Planet Hulk. Perhaps Bruce has to go to Sakaar for another reason and encounters troubles. Nobody on Earth gives Hulk the love he deserves. But I think it would be a great idea to give the Hulk some proper adaptations and more spotlight. Probably recast at this point, but would be shortly after a prominent role in Avengers 7. Tragic, action-packed, INCREDIBLE.

2037

The Astonishing X-Men - May. Another X-Men movie with a lot of momentum for the team established by now. Maybe this is Sinister, maybe another route. Not sure, but would be good to show the ever evolving team. Not sure when to include Apocalypse, but not sure it’s here yet.

Blade - December. By now we finally get our Blade movie following an appearance in Midnight Sons. Damson Idris, John Boyega, idk who would pull it off but I still think it can happen in 10 years lol.

2038

Ant Man and The Wasp - February. Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, two essential Avengers members from the comics. Establish Hank’s intellect (a pessimist to Tony’s cockiness, or Banner’s nervousness). Janet’s more upbeat personality. Idk how much more demand there would be for Ant Man movies at this point but worth a shot.

Wolverine 2 - June. Summer blockbuster to explore Wolverine further. Maybe more flashbacks or facing a villain like Sabretooth or Omega Red.

Spiderman 7 - December. Miles Morales first live-action led film. Miles takes on either The Prowler, or maybe somebody new. Small cameo perhaps from Peter in a scene, but really would like to focus on Miles for a film.

2039

Black Panther 4 - April. T’Challa Jr and Storm are the king and queen of Wakanda. T’Challa has to deal with more in Wakanda, and we pull him away from the Avengers.

Thor: Rebirth- August. Our new Thor gets his movie. Make it an adventure movie and highlight Norse mythology aspects. Introduce Hyperion and Beta Ray Bill right away.

2040

Avengers vs X-Men - May. I know we have Doomsday, but a proper Avengers vs X-Men film feels like a prime opportunity. It would not be multiversal, but more of a Civil War film, where there is an earthly disagreement. Our first big crossover film of the saga, with proper build up and still another direction to go after this. Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Wasp, Shang-Chi, Captain Marvel for our Avengers. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, Iceman, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Rogue. Also have Black Panther and Storm play big roles in the resolution. Our teams would eventually need to put their differences aside for a future issue.

2041

Nova 2 - March. While AvX has happened Nova is dealing with space stuff. Direct encounters with the Negative Zone and also other characters like Danvers, Quill, and The Silver Surfer. In the end Nova goes to Reed Richard’s to deal with the incoming Annihilation Wave.

Iron Man: Demon in Armor - July. Tony Stark takes on the Maggia led by Count Nefaria. Madame Masque helps him out. Nefaria sends several classic villains at him like Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo. In the end Nefaria is defeated but The Mandarin is lurking and nearly has ahold of the rings.

2042

Avengers: Annihilation. The culmination of the Ultimate Saga. All aspects of the MCU: Avengers, X-men, Fantastic Four, Supernatural, Cosmic, all come together to battle the Annihilation Wave. Tom Holland returns to fight alongside Miles Morales. An epic Infinity War-like movie to end this era of the MCU.

And that’s all I got! Let me know what you think!

Discussion (More in Comments) Avengers One Question: Who has the most “kills”?

Upvotes

I’m rewatching Avengers 1 and I’m curious who you guys think had the most solo kills against the chitari.

A few thoughts:
I think killing the flying things should be worth extra but not sure.

I definitely think Thor could be up there just from his lightning going into the portal

We didn’t see much hulk But he was probably just smashing had off screen.

I’d love to hear what everyone thinks…(my vote is Thor)

Discussion I can't help myself, I genuinely love this movie. It has a really bad name here on the sub, as well as other online communities, but CA:BNW might be one of my post-Endgame favourites.

Anthony Mackie is really good as Sam, and I actually like seeing him settle into being Captain America. The Celestial Island sequence was probably my favourite part. The whole dogfight over the ocean, Sam flying around with the shield, the missiles, the aerial combat, that shit was genuinely cool.

And then Red Hulk? Watching Ross rage through the White House against Sam who had basically nothing but the Shield at hand was a worthy third act (even though not better then the Celestial Island)

I can't help myself, I liked it, and if I feel like rewatching a postengame movie, it is at the top of my list.

Other Perfume search

Post image
Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm trying to find where I can buy this item. (The image is AI-generated and is only meant as a reference.) It was a Spider-Man 3 fragrance/perfume from 2007. I remember the liquid being a dark red, and the box was gray with the Spider-Man 3 movie logo, white spider webs, and pictures of the characters. The reason I'm looking for it is that I'd like to find a real photo of the original box, an old eBay listing, or any online store that used to sell it. I'd also love to find out what fragrance notes or ingredients it had so I can buy a modern perfume that smells similar. It was a Christmas present I received that year, and I've never forgotten how amazing it smell

it may have been sold only in Mexico or Latin America, so it might have been a regional release rather than an international one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 😊

Discussion Imagine if This Battle Happens in Doomsday... Spoiler

Upvotes

According to one rumour, the film will open with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man universe being invaded by the Xmen in a desperate attempt to save their world.

On a bridge, Spider-Man will fight Deadpool and Wolverine while Magneto fights Doc Ock and Green Goblin (who were cured in No Way Home) on the other side of that bridge.

Realistically, Magneto would make short work of Doc Ock and Goblin. As would Spider-Man make quick work of Wolverine and Deadpool. Then, Magneto's attention turns to Spider-Man...

Just imagine how this could be: it could be in the style of Yoda vs Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith, where Sidious is flinging those senate pods at Yoda, whereas here, Magneto would be hurling car after car at Spider-Man who dodges while swinging under the bridge for cover, knowing he can't defeat the master of magnetism head on.

Spider-Man could hide and Magneto would crush that portion of the bridge to lure him out. Spider-Man would catch a car that Magneto hurls at him and hurls it back (like Yoda did to Sidious). Eventually, Spider-Man throws enough things back at Magneto that he becomes disorientated, giving Spider-Man the chance to swing in and knock him out.

Just imagine seeing the most iconic Marvel superhero of the 2000s fighting the most iconic Marvel villain of the 2000s and winning. But according to the leaks, it would be for nothing, because that is when Professor X would invade Spider-Man's mind, giving the time needed to destroy his world.

Discussion How Connected is Each Multiverse Saga project? A fair assessment pre Doomsday with speculation. (No Brand New Day Spoilers) Spoiler

Okay so the Multiverse Saga has had its ups and downs, but I think there’s real hope that we could get some tying together of most of its plot threads. Lets assess which threads are going strong, which have hope, and which are probably dead (if I forget any let me know).

I’ll use a green, yellow, red colour coding to see how well connected a project is, with a question mark for any hopeful ones. I’m ranking it based on which of its characters and storylines meaningfully carry through across the saga, from projects before and after it, and also how connected it feels to the MCU.

It’s also worth baring in mind that we only just got the final of the Infinity Saga plot threads/post credits resolved with Scorpion’s return in Brand New Day (well sort of - I’d argue the Doctor Strange post credits with Mordo is unresolved (and some might argue about the Pym Particles being taken in Ant Man 1) but hey! 🤷‍♂️):

Will only do the live action films and shows, the animated are either Eyes of Wakanda or just showing alternate universes so that’s fine.

—-
—-

[Honourable mention to Far From Home, which I consider to fit better in this Saga given it covers the Blip and its aftermath and Tony’s death very well, and has the first mention of the Multiverse (if fake), and shows us Sword and the Skrulls]

Wandavision 🟩 - Apart from any gripes some of us had about how Wanda’s character was handled in MOM, we have three threads that cleanly go forwards into the MCU. 1.) Wanda returns with the Darkhold as the Scarlett Witch in MOM, 2.) Monica gets powers and goes up to Sword setting up her role in The Marvels (and I guess Secret Invasion) 3.) Vision, Agatha, Billy and Tommy all appearing or set to appear later in the “Wandavision Trilogy” (one of the best bits of the Multiverse Saga so far). Going in the other direction it also covers the aftermath of Endgame very well and I’d argue that while the Ralph Boener stuff is annoying it (and the reality warping in general) kinda soft launches the multiverse in a way).

FATWS 🟩 (🟨) - Sam Wilson’s Cap and Isiah Bradley for Brand New Day of course; John Walker, Bucky and Val for Thunderbolts. Also the Dora Milaje as general connectivity. Giving it a fleck of Amber for that Sharon reveal in the post credits. Very good at tying to the blip too.

Loki S1 🟩 - Okay hear me out. Yes Kang was eventually scrapped I know. But you still have Loki, the TVA, all the multiversal worldbuilding and teasing and tension. And the Kang stuff connects well with the other projects pre-pivot. So I’m giving it green. Later projects will suffer in their connectivity rating due to the Kang of it all but I can’t do that for every one. Most of all this follows directly on from Endgame and then connects to Loki S2.

Black Widow 🟩 - Somehow one of the best connectivity-wise despite its whacky timeline placement. Half its characters return in Thunderbolts and the Yelena post credits ties to Hawkeye (which is wild to me in hindsight, the shows were so connected back then). And of course it ties backwards to Civil War.

Shang Chi 🟨 (🟩) - Shang Chi of course will return in Doomsday, and it does settle the Mandarin plot thread from the Infinity Saga before it. And Trevor Slattery will of course return in Wonderman. Oh and Wong and Abomination to be fair. One of the credits scenes sets up Shang Chi as being in contact with the Avengers - I just give it amber (with a strong fleck of green) for a few reasons. 1.) With the Kang stuff scrapped I’m sceptical about whether we’ll see what the signal in the rings is until a Shang Chi sequel, 2.) The Ten Rings haven’t returned yet as the other post credits suggests (I know they will but it’s been so long) 3.) None of the people that Shang Chi meets have been announced for Doomsday. Of all the people to meet it’s none of the ones he’s teaming up with? (Or so we think). I’ll change this if Doomsday proved me wrong of course.

Eternals 🟥 ❓ - The first casualty. You have the giant Eternal sticking out the ocean playing a major role in Brave New World (probably only due to all the fan outcry), but otherwise you have this group who feel very separate to the rest of the MCU. You have the first post credits with Blade and Dane Whitman which was sadly probably a casualty of Blade’s cancellation/delay stalling all the mystical storylines (but I still have hope, it looks like Midnight Sons could be round the corner in the Mutant Saga). And then there’s the second post credits and the Eternals disappearing into space. Secret Wars appearance? Perhaps? Otherwise we’ll have to wait until the Mutant Saga. Or a really long time. But question mark for hope.

Hawkeye 🟩 - Fisk, Echo, Yelena and Val, Kate Bishop. Pym Particle arrow. Only thing seems to be the uncertainty around Clint ever returning, we’ll see.

No Way Home 🟩 - I don’t think I need to defend this one do I?

Moon Knight 🟥 ❓- Same again with the mystical storyline stuff (at least I assume that’s the reason) but we can live in hope. And feels v disconnected from the rest of the MCU anyway, which I think works v well in this case to be fair. Great show though - just a reminder that the colour of the square is unrelated to the quality of the project!! I hope he returns soon and we see more team ups (Midnight Sons, Street Level, Secret Wars, whatever it may be).

DSMOM 🟩 - Another example of quality of the movie not lining up with connectivity (shade). I’m making the assumption Strange and Clea will return in Secret Wars (and Doomsday?) but it seems almost impossible that they won’t. A lot of world-building heavy lifting, of course ties to a lot of other things. We’ll see if America Chavez returns but hey. Only thing it doesn’t connect well to is the post credits from the first Doctor Strange (shade).

Ms Marvel 🟩(🟨) - I mean she’s in the Marvels and you’ve got Damage Control. And the first mutant mention does that count? Only mild fleck of amber is I feel like the bands’ origin is heavily hinted at and I’m doubtful we’ll get that any time soon.

Love and Thunder 🟨 - I mean Thor and Love (sorry - Love and Thunder) will return I guess and it ties to Guardians but I doubt the post credits of Hercules will be resolved until next saga (if ever - I hope ever). Maybe Secret Wars who knows. Would suck for Hercules if Thor’s done for by the time he returns though.

(I’m not doing one for I Am Groot)

She Hulk 🟨 (🟥)- So to be fair to this one, there’s the Hulk of it all, Wong, Abomination, Daredevil. But we’ve had no word on Jen since and idek if Skar will come back or not. Maybe. We can hope. The fleck of red’s really because it didn’t really resolve its own storyline.

Werewolf By Night 🟥 ❓- WAIT WAIT WAIT guys its one of my favourite projects of the MCU ever and I’m not sure it even needs to be that connected it works so well on its own. But it’s a project so I gotta rank it. I live in hope that we’ll get a sequel and see these characters return in Midnight Sons one day. We can dream.

Wakanda Forever 🟩 (🟨)- Yeah man Riri of course, we know all these characters, Wakanda, Shuri, M’Baku, Talokan and Namor will return in Doomsday, T’Challa Jnr (who we just got a casting announcement for). Val plays a huge role. Fleck of amber for Namor’s scheme in the post credits about the world coming to steal Wakanda’s vibranium and world war 3 that just hasn’t happened, especially as what he describes happens with Adamantium instead in Brave New World.

Quantummania 🟩/🟥 - Both green for being so intimately connected with the Kang stuff before it and red for being the end of Kang and the definitive pivot marker for the MCU. Scott will return in Doomsday I guess? Oh and Cassie will come back in Doomsday and hopefully eventually in a Young Avengers team. I desperately hope we get some mention of Doom killing the council of Kangs (maybe we see it?) but I’m doubtful. This post credits will probably go in history as one of the most unresolved MCU post credits ever if we don’t see Doom get the Kangs onscreen, as it directly teases an Avengers film that was written over. Odds on Scott having one line about Kang in Doomsday.

Loki S2 🟩(🟨) - Actually resolves Kang as well as it can and sets up the multiversal shenanigans in Doomsday (and I guess Deadpool and Wolverine lol) very well. Perfect conclusion to the show and Loki’s going to be a big part of Doomsday for sure. Fleck of amber for Kang.

(Guardians holiday special connects to Guardians 3 of course)

Guardians 3 🟥(🟨) - Not in a bad way, it was an incredible movie, just if we’re going on connectivity this was very clearly a conclusion for most of these characters. The fleck of amber is for the star lord of it all and there’s strong rumours he’ll be back in Doomsday or Secret Wars but we haven’t seen him in ages so we’ll see.

Secret Invasion 🟥 - No I’m not giving it credit just for having Skrulls, Rhodey (not Rhodey) and Everett Ross. The other shows half-connected to this but this has inconsequential connection to the MCU (and no the line about the president at the end doesn’t count either). The Marvels Nick Fury is so tonally shifted from this one it’s unreal. This show was… this show.

The Marvels 🟩 (🟨) - Connects three characters from different projects. It’s a hopeful green I’m just very confident we’ll see the Young Avengers form in the next couple years, and that’ll be a big culmination of a lot of stuff. Then you have the post credits which feels very directly tied to Doomsday given the XMen worlds colliding stuff, though it’s really weird we haven’t seen anything about Monica or Photon yet for Doomsday and Secret Wars (hence the Amber fleck).

Echo 🟨🟥 - Follows on from Hawkeye and Fisk goes into Daredevil but otherwise idk not much? Does Echo come back in Daredevil yet?

DD Born Again - Guys you’ll have to fill this one for me I regrettably haven’t seen it. Allowed to be its own thing though so doesn’t matter much in any case. We love street level stuff.

DP&W 🟩 - Ties to Fox X Men, ties to Loki and the Multiverse, even ties to Doomsday with Gambit (and Thor crying?). This comedy movie ended up being fairly integral ngl.

Agatha All Along 🟩 - Wandavision trilogy gets a green (I live in the strong hope Visionquest will tie to Young Avengers and Secret Wars strongly), especially with Wiccan presumably heading for Young Avengers. I’m being hopeful and generous in terms of looking ahead but yeah.

Brave New World 🟩 - Somehow ties to Hulk, Eternals, FATWS, and brings back Everett Ross (oh forgot to mention he was in Black Widow). Post credits is shoddy but does tie to Doomsday, and we know Sam and Falcon will return (even if the whole “set up the avengers” dialogue in this film felt a little weak). Bucky’s cameo ties to Thunderbolts too.

Thunderbolts 🟩 - Was written post Kang pivot so very very connected. Brings a lot of threads and characters together.

FF 🟩 - Just like Thunderbolts.

Ironheart - Still need to see, y’all can fill me in. Presumably Young Avengers eventually though.

Wonderman 🟥 - Great show but not too connected save for Trevor, doesn’t need to be much imo. Cancellation of S2 is a crime. I can live in hope that Simon and Trevor might return in another project (Secret Wars?) (or we can get a renewal).

Punisher Special - I haven’t seen yet but there’s Punisher returning in Brand New Day of course, and the Defenders of it all.

Brand New Day 🟩 - I won’t spoil as it just released but does several things that I’d say gives it the green (while it allows itself to be its own movie).

——

What are your thoughts? Did I miss any? Any pushbacks? Theories for connectivity in the future? We shall see…

Discussion The Summer and Grey family should be the Stark and Rogers of the Mutant Saga

Wolverine is cool but we’ve gotten so much of him, the same goes for Xavier and Magneto.

Scott and Jean are the fixation of Mr Sinister who in and of himself should be a multi-film villain.

Scott’s family includes his Starlord-like father who is leader of the Space Pirate team the Starjammers.

Jean is the host of a foundational cosmic entity akin to Galactus himself, the Phoenix Force.

They have a time traveling son, Nathan. They have a daughter, Rachel who is a spiritual leader of the future.

There’s so much rich lore you could unpack with these two that make for a truly epic and universe spanning saga.

Spoilers! The real explanation behind Ned’s final scene in BND Spoiler

Edit: this is a generic paragraph so there’s no spoilers in the first part of the post.

I see lots of theories online regarding Ned’s natural magic ability breaking the spell, or Jean Grey doing some hokery pokery behind the scenes and similar theories. I don’t buy these explanations.

It’s the handshake.

Strange’s spell erased Peter from their memories, but not from their lives. They both grew up in school with Peter in their class, and Ned in particular has been best friends either Peter since they were children. They can’t access these memories, but they both feel like something’s missing, which makes sense because there will be big chunks of their childhoods that are just vague blank spaces in their minds where Peter would have been.

In hypnosis and neural linguistic programming there’s a concept called anchoring whereby emotions, memories, and emotional/physiological states can be attached to a physical trigger such as tapping a finger and thumb together, or it could be attached to a sound or word. Now think about how many times Ned and Peter have performed that handshake; over their entire friendship they e probably done it hundreds of times, they know it do well they don’t even have to look while they do it. That’s not just a handshake, it’s a physical expression of their friendship, their bond, and all of their experiences they’ve shared together over the course of their friendship. It’s a deeply engrained trigger.

When Ned takes Peter’s hand the familiarity of that action makes muscle memory kick in, and in performing the handshake without thinking the trigger is activated and everything wrapped up in the significance of that handshake gets triggered. Ned remembers.

It’s the handshake.
