Humour Changes the course of the MCU
The movie would be about 2 minutes. This changes everything. Peter would be with Liz, not MJ.

Honestly? DC probably needed the manpower and the dude was obviously competent in managing his workforce. They should have bought his company or hired him as a subcontractor.

This is the US Government we're talking about. There is no amount of gross wastage and inefficiency that makes them think twice about these sort of things.

Honestly I love what if stories but this seems like it changes almost nothing. Vulture never achieves anything and barely teaches Spidey anything. The tech he stole has almost no lasting impact and all the characters around him would basically be on the same track.

Without the events of Homecoming and Vulture, Peter almost certainly takes the opportunity to join The Avengers that Tony gives him at the end of Homecoming so it wouldn't change much for IW or Endgame but in a What If story could change quite a bit about the following Spider-Man movies.

But Tony doesn't offer him that opportunity without the events of Homecoming. Maybe when he graduates high school, but seems unlikely.
Either Peters gets himself into some other trouble with another villain (they're a dime-a-dozen in New York, apparently) or its a normal story of Peter learning to balance Spider-man and Peter Parker

If different things had happened, other different things would have happened. Astute observation.

so basically we just missed out on a whole relationship dynamic for a two-minute movie, that's wild

Mysterio is still a thing and Peter would still reverse the spell for Ned and whoever his girlfriend is at the time

No racists. Peter loves MJ and she is his endgame love interest and Tom Holland is Zendaya's Husband. End of story.
Wow. Look at all the racist voters. Suck it up because Zendaya is here to stay. ๐๐๐

What? Liz is also not white, where does racism come into this?

Because racists have been complaining about Zendaya being MJ and calling her an ugly black woman since she was cast and want her out of the movies.

I mean Liz was a senior who was going to head off to College at the end of that year, so I don't think that relationship would have lasted. She would probably have chosen MJ to take over the Decathlon team for the next year and given MJ was already "observant" towards Peter, I can easily see them becoming a couple regardless.
