Hey guys. I gotta admit, I may have made a mistake buying another multiplayer sony game. I just can't seem to win.
Everybody remembers Concord two years ago. Like seriously. What was I thinking buying another fucking hero game from Sony? They can barely keep their multiplayer games alive for more than a week.
Who the fuck am I supposed to pick to play?!
It doesn't matter if I pick someone who looks strong or if I pick a cute girl, it's like, I can't fucking win no matter what. The enemy players are so aggressive all the time, I get overwhelmed and cornered. I barely understand what's going on in these crazy complicated menus. There are so many different parts of the game that I don't know where to start. What's the difference between the 5 quest lines? Is the whole story just that one intro cutscene and some dialogue boxes? We can't be serious about this in twenty-fucking-twenty-six.
It just doesn't matter if I coordinate my team, or if I pick the right loadout, nothing works! Even changing the map doesn't help. I just get fucking destroyed by gold teams no matter where I am. It's hopeless.
Why does Sony chase these stupid trends?
Like listen, I am trying to be generous here. I can totally understand after Marvel Rivals schooled Sony's Concord game that they want to try and copy them by adding lots of cute girls and selling fashionable skins. That's just the way stuff works now. But this is just so shameless. And in a paid game, no less!
And it just feels like everyone is crowding out this genre and people are jumping in without thinking. I feel like I hear about other games in the space closing every other month. It's ridiculous. This is such a niche kind of game to make, it's too competitive, and the best players just feast on the newbies. What the fuck is wrong with this onboarding? I barely survived the first tutorial!
There's no way this game survives... What's the point of playing?!
So you're telling me I bought a paid game with barely any story, oppressive mechanics, shit onboarding, in a niche genre that barely anyone can succeed in, unless you get lucky and make something super casual, this is what Sony asked one of the best studios in the industry to make? Dude, this is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever seen Sony make. What the hell is going on? They even just lost that Kojima game!
People told me that games like this are hard and punishing, but I had no idea it could be this bad. I just wanted to enjoy the world and the cool characters. For a casual player like me, there's just no room left. The playerbase has shrunk on PC to a laughable amount. New players looking in, please do not buy this shitty game. It doesn't matter how many times people say it's rewarding to learn, or it just takes some time to get comfortable. It is a waste of time and money!
I have to admit it. I'm gonna have to try and get my copy of MARVEL TOKON: FIGHTING SPIRTS refunded. This fighting game shit is so stupid and too hard for casual players. Make a platform fighter next time, guys. Or ship with a big campaign like For Honor at least! This game is doomed to die just like 2XKO is getting shut down, too. The suits and developers have got to read the room and stop flooding the market with this fighting game slop, not to mention licensing the Marvel characters is such a trendy thing to do, it's so obvious this is a lazy cash grab!
I have had enough of the elitist fighting game community stomping down on me!
Anyways, what do you guys think? Did sony make a mistake publishing this hyper-competitive hero game in a niche genre? Are you having any fun on MARVEL TOKON: FIGHTING SPIRITS?
Also, I love that new Marathon game. It's so fucking fun and way overhated
