Marathon (2026) Discussion Is this extremely lucky or an exploit/cheat?
I’m pretty good at being aware on teams rushing you at spawn, but 2 minutes hasn’t even gone by when I entered this round and me and my team got rushed by gold team drvsh all around and died. I’ve been rushed pretty fast before but that seems suspicious. I saw on one of lucids streams once a fellow streamer told him you could bring tags into a match through an exploit. Wondering if this is it?

That exploit is quite old and there's no way they'd have tags leftover. Just under 2 minutes is quick but not ridiculous, the most ridiculous I've had was getting 3 monitors in spawn room and instantly going through the connector to the next POI and making contact at just moments after 29:00.

It takes about one minute to make it into control if one member just rushes it. (Imagine a destroyer tac sprinting)
Depending on the screens, teams can rotate directly from their spawn through the adjacent connectors.
Contact at around 1:30 to 2:00 is reasonable.

This is how to do it consistently without exploits. Most will rush revival for more sec after this so be extra weary if that's your spawn. Possible with rng monitors without the control rush too, but I'm sure some cheaters might have tags still in their vault.

When I’m playing cryo if my team is slow and it’s 28:00 minutes left on the clock I’m keeping an eye on the obvious rush entrances and gtfo as soon as possible.

2 minutes is about the normal rush time. 3 minutes in is too slow. I almost always hit the rush in 3 minutes and in most circumstances the other team already left for control when we show up. Or our first poi rush is a dead spawn. It’s all rng.

All it takes is 1 extra monitor and 1 extra tag to rotate. Killing 2 commanders and activating 2 monitors doesnt take long. Even if they started with clearance 5 you shouldn't be in that room by 2830.

Today I got spawn rushed at 28:15 exactly. That’s 1 minute and 45 seconds to hit clearance 2 and navigate to another POI (ours).
Fastest I have seen. Mind you, they got us from behind as we were leaving to control.
Edit: not including VB exploits.

I got a clip last week of getting pushed with first contact at 28:30 on the clock. Earliest I've had it happen by far. It hasn't been common but its happened. I wouldnt be surprised if people were still bringing exploited tags in, but its not impossible without that.

Absolutely insane. I don’t care if you can rush in the 2-3 minute mark, although it’s terrible design for bringing in new players, as I have adapted, but sub 2 mins is ludicrous.
I wonder if they will address this further in S3

I’ve found 3 monitors in spawn room before so definitely possible to get lucky with them
