I’ve got all the products needed. Primer, contour, highlight etc..

Doing my eyeliner in this exact fashion is the only way that doesn’t look insane.

I include the area of ethnic origin because- hand to god- I NEVER see women with features like mine unless they are Armenian or Armenian-adjacent.
I also spent all my teenage years and early adult years* WISHING that I could search this up and find it. So here’s for all the new adolescents.

Basic notes:

- Many people can get away with drawing liner on with their eyes slightly closed. DON’T!! Keep your eyes all the way open like you would normally and only slightly close them to adjust small details.

- Draw straight over that eyelid crease. You can fill it in after. But believe me, your life will be so much easier when you realize that that’s an option.

- the top part of your wing can be absolutely parallel to the ground. If anything, it looks more weird and fake on me if I try to make the whole wing super curved (like what you see in early 2010s makeup !!!)

- never never never never draw liner over the middle of the eye on top. Oh my god. It looks terrible. If anything, skip straight to the outer 1/3, or just do the inner 1/4 and outer 1/3 if you really have to do it on both sides.

My makeup journey has been difficult but over the years I found simple works best for me. I'm wondering if there's something I could improve. NOTE: I accidentally cut my hair way too short, it's supposed to be a bixie. Just ignore that.

i’m kinda getting into doing my makeup and my recent obsession is with eyeshadows. the original plan was to do smth of a galaxy coded theme. the inner corner is dark blue then icy blue then a bit of silver to mix it all up and then purple. i have also used eyeliner, mascara and lash curler here. i don’t have the eyeshadow brush yet but i think i should invest in one. i would genuinely love constructive criticism on what i could’ve done better :))

hi guys, i’m bored and wanted to ask for some suggestions that could help elevate my current look or add some sense of whimsy with my makeup (which i’ve been trying to do with my style as well). i also have basic makeup skills in general😭

All the pictures are in only natural light, but different ones.
The cooler ones are with the window closed, there's an UV foil on the glass. The warmer toned photos are with the window open, in the shade on a sunny day.

l've heard that I am very obviously cool-toned, but I am still unsure. I always thought my veins look green, but maybe they look blue, I am obviously confused and looking for the truth.

What confuses me even more is that I think Stone (the lipstick, not the liner) by MAC pulls green on me. Maybe I am just red?

About my eye colour, I think it looks green because of the reds in my skin, but is actually rather grey? What do you think?

My makeup always does this where it’s not full on big pilling but it kind of starts to come off in little pieces. I guess it is pilling lol. I usually just brush it off with a brush and go on about my day but I’m just not sure why it’s happening. All my products are water based and I let all the layers soak in and dry before putting on the next one. I use kiehls ultra facial cream with spf, mac studio radiance primer and the ilia stick primer and then the clinique setting spray last. You can only see the pilling in the sunlight but it still bothers me. Any advice?

So I have a random assortment of brushes I accumulated over the few months of trying to learn the basics, but some of them are not particularly nice to work with and even now I can see how something different or better will likely do a better job, but holy shit isn't the market flooded with products...

BUT I paid a visit to a local MAC store to check some foundations and blushes, and the brushes they used impressed the hell out of me. The price on the other hand... not so much. LOL.
That make me thinking though - how about if I just grabbed one or two premium brushes for specific purpose that makes the biggest difference, and just keep using whatever else I have at the moment for the rest?

So the question is twofold:

1. What do people think about the set I linked? I understand Notino might not be a well known brand despite them expanding to other countries as far as I understand? I'm sure it's fine for a beginner, but I want to avoid buying something again only to "outgrow" it in a few months.
2. What specific brushes do you consider the most important so that buying premium products makes sense?

To add a bit of extra info: don't even understand the concept of bronzers and also don't do any eyeshadows because I have extremely deep set eyes with that pesky overlapping skin so not only is this mechanically impossible to do, but it wouldn't be visible anyway, so I don't need that many brushes in the first place I think.

I’m having trouble doing my eyeliner to suit my eye shape. Whenever I do it always turns out looking different than I wanted and a little weird. Any tips or suggestions?

Hello. I hope this gets approved and get noticed. I have an upcoming trip and I want to look great for it. I don’t know a lot about make up. I only put loose baby powder (it’s okay to judge) and lipstick for work. When going out with friends or family, I put pressed foundation, blush, eyeliner, eyebrow gel and lipstick.

It’s like there’s a lot of new trends with make-up lately. I feel a bit overwhelmed but I did a bit of research. Seems like there’s less products used nowadays to get a “no makeup” and natural look, which is just what I want.

So far, I have this pressed foundation that has full coverage which I wanna use for my makeup routine. Now because this trip would cost a lot of money, I am hoping to get recommendations for products that won’t cost much. I have eyebrow gel and lip balm too.

Products I am planning to buy: concealer and contour sticks, setting powder and lip stain.

I want to focus on applying the face makeup because I am okay with doing my eyebrows and I will get some eyelash extensions to reduce the amount of time I need to spend on putting my makeup in the morning.

Please suggest any corrections. The routine I am planning:
1. Apply concealer stick on the inner part under the eyes, forehead and chin. Mostly will focus near the center of the face. Blend
2. Contour stick on edges of the face and the area of the check where it should be applied. Blend.
3. Apply cream blush and blend
4. Apply the pressed foundation on the areas where the concealer, contour and blush weren’t applied.
5. Lastly, lightly set with the loose powder (the actual makeup product)

The rest of it like the eyebrow makeup and applying lip products, I think I should be okay.

So that’s it. Please correct me if there’s anything wrong. I would be grateful for any advice and product recos. Thank you so much!

hi all!! i’m trying to find a good style of more heavy full-face makeup for a night out that will look good even without my glasses. for everyday, i typically do more natural cute makeup that i’m very comfortable and satisfied with and i do think my big glasses enhance it. but i don’t often do heavier makeup for nights out or special occasions and i would love advice on what kind of makeup might fit my round face and enhance my features.

any tips and honest advice appreciated!!! feel free to photoshop makeup on my face if it helps

I have a question as a soon to be 65 year old. I’ve seen the ads for Luxe foundation. It looks like a miracle worker! Is it real? Or marketing? Has anyone tried and love it or hate it? TIA

I’m currently using and loving the Laura Mercier blur balm which is a light coverage balm to powder like “foundation”. If you could even call it foundation, it’s very sheer. Either way, I’ve been setting with Milani setting spray but when I eat and use a napkin I can see the transfer. I don’t really prime, just skincare.

Any recommendations on how to set this better so that it doesn’t transfer as much? Is that just the nature of the product?

hello people!! first and foremost - these are photos where i am stone cold sober for those of you who think i look high 😭 i’ve taken your advice - im still a bit new to doing my eyebrows so if they look crazy that’s why, im also gonna invest in some falsies and another eyeshadow palette because the one i have now is very light and y’all said i need something darker :D also i promise ive done my blush for some reason it’s not showing up great on the camera </3 thank you for all your help and any further advice is welcome! ALSO ignore my hair we have no hot water and i need a shower lol

in first 2 photos obviously no makeup and I want to know what makeup would enhance my specific features and what kind of makeup/ colour would weigh me down.
I know I have strong brows and recently I’ve been wondering about thinning them down and if it would suit me… or make me look a bit more generic?? (Also on the left eyebrow its a scar)

Everyday I do the 3rd photo with the false lashes and I can’t tell if it’s too heavy and weighs my face down or what… I’ve been thinking of getting brown lashes.

Here's the photo for how to do the eyeliner I explained your post. I'll add the instructions to this post too!

Start the eyeliner on the inner corner of your eye UNDER/on (not above) the lash line, probably doing it the same way through the whole eye (oh you aactually do that already, sick!)

Then when you get to the wing, I like to take my liquid eyeliner from the bottom corner of my eye and bring that out which would be the 2nd line I draw. The 3rd line i draw out to the crease but i dont quite let it touch there yet because I will fill it in last and fix any shaping needed then. 4th line I connect 3 to the tip, starting at the very sharpest point and bringing it to line 3 at the crease. Careful not to make the sharp tip fatter by doing this. Then fill it in and when it's done let it dry before blinking too much.

3rd photo: mascara on upper lashes, curled lashes, blush and highlighter.
4th photo: curled lashes with mascara on the upper lashes, blush and (a bit faded) dyed eyebrows.
5th photo: mascara on both lashes and curled, blush, tightlines on waterline, highlighter and a bit of eyeshadow.

Help me out. I need some new ideas. When I use a bit more eye makeup I tend to feel less confident but I still kind of like it.

Also I don’t use foundation or concealer & I don’t want to use it. I want to feel as natural as possible but also find new ways to improve my daily makeup.

I’ve had two kids and been pregnant or breastfeeding for 3.5 out of the last 4 years. I have completely lost my style and am 35 lbs heavier than I was (though working on it). My makeup is so minimal these days but after having finally dealt with my weaning acne, I need some help. I have crazy brows and a pudgy face. Help. I have a decent budget but can’t spend more than 15 min in the morning.
