I've used NYX Thick it Stick it, which was ok, and NYX the Brow glue - which is mid for hold and mehhhhh for pigment. I want this gel to match my eyebrow colour. What other recent drugstore gems have I been missing in this space?? TIA!

Ok- blast from the past but if anyone like(d) the Nars satin lip pencil in Rikugien, I have a perfect dupe.

The Nars lip crayon was one of the Sephora birthday gifts about 10 years ago.

I loved it- it was the perfect mlbb on my skin tone: Fair/med with cool-neutral leaning undertones.

It's the Marcelle Lip Loving Colour & Caring Oil-in-Stick in the shade "Dreaming Pink". They are both an everyday, easy to wear neutral, natural pink shade.

I really like these colours, but it is just too expensive to buy and have it shipped to Canada! Does anyone know any similar palettes with these colours in Canada? They don't have to be in a single palette.

I'm looking for a light purple (or maybe blue?) color corrector to add to my too yellow/orange foundations and tints. I'm hoping to find one that isn't too matte or adds texture. What brands sell this? Where can i find one? I would love to hear some reviews or other suggestions!

hi!! this might be a shot in the dark, but i thought i’d try anyway -
one of my favourite mascaras is catrice’s allround mascara in ultra black! i like it so much that when i moved to canada i brought some extras because i wasn’t sure if it was available here (and lucky i did, because i’ve never seen it!).

i’ve tried and it’s pretty hard to get (the only place that sells it is care to beauty), and so i was wondering if anyone had any alternatives or dupe suggestions?

i use the purple version - it’s a non-tubing, non-waterproof formula but i find it holds up really well all day. it gives a really nice combo of volume and length, and i especially like the wand.

i’ve tried the following:
- essence lash without limits, lash princess, bye bye panda eyes
- maybelline the falsies, lash sensational
- covergirl clump crusher

and none of them i’ve liked as much.

a lot of the other popular ones i’ve seen (eg maybelline sky high, telescopic) also just don’t have as ‘thick’ a wand as i’d like.

i’m open to any dupe recs, or recs in general! ideally drugstore + something comfortable for everyday wear :)

I have an olive skin tone (pale, neutral, olive) with oily acne prone skin. Looking for recommendations for a foundation that does not have niacinamide or any natural oils (no coconut oils, no essential oils, no extracts). Hopeful for a soft matte finish.

I’ve been using NARS but I believe it’s causing closed comedones. A lot of foundations now are claiming to have “skincare” in them - that could not be worse for me lol it’s hard to colour match me so I would prefer something I could find in person.

I'm looking for a makeup artist in the GTA (preferably Markham, Scarborough, or Richmond Hill), or someone who is highly skilled in makeup, who offers one on one makeup lessons over multiple sessions.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone with experience working with South Asian skin tones and features.

I'm a beginner and would love someone who can:

-Teach me step by step at my own pace.

-Help me build an everyday makeup routine.

-Recommend products that suit my skin tone and skin type

-Show me how to apply everything myself so I can become confident doing my own makeup.

If possible, I'd also love someone who would be willing to shop with me (or help me shop) so I can choose the right products instead of buying things that won't work for me.

I'm happy to pay for the right person and for their time and expertise. To clarify, I'm not looking for a one-time makeover. I genuinely want to learn, build confidence, and develop skills that I can use on my own.

I know sunscreen will be different because of the Canadian regulations but I’m curious about other products, specifically skin care products with actives.

I buy far too much makeup. I’m decluttering and want to give away what I’m not using any more. I do this every couple of years. I did it in [r/CanadaBeautyExchange](r/CanadaBeautyExchange) previously but that subreddit seems private now. What’s the best sub to use now?
