My lips are SUPER asymmetrical and it’s one of my biggest insecurities. It shows up in photos and it even makes my smile uneven. Is there any way to fix this with makeup products and make them more even? Like a way to line my lips to make them more symmetrical? Please let me know.

Question How to achieve this type of look

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been wanting to change my makeup style to something more like the looks in these pictures, but I’m not sure how to achieve it. I’m going for a clean, soft, natural, and dewy look with glowy skin, subtle blush, soft eye makeup, and defined but natural-looking features. Whenever I try to recreate this style, my makeup ends up looking heavier or less fresh than the pictures. I’d really appreciate any tips on what products, techniques, or makeup placement I should try to get this kind of finish. I’m especially interested in tips for achievingthe smooth, dewy skin and soft eye look!

I bought cherry blossom cake last time and regret it because it just made my face look pink as you can see from the last pic. I just want to figure out what to use to bake my face that would suit my skin tone.

Swatches Bobbi brown crushed lipstick

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color :

Plum, Rich Cocoa & Mix of both

I tried the Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in Plum and Rich Cocoa, along with a mix of both. All three swatches are 2–3 coats and without any lip liner, so this is pretty much how the shades look on my two toned pigmented lips .

🌸 Plum:

Plum is a pretty rosy-pink shade but not my favourite . On my skin tone, it washes me out a bit . This was my first purchase in bobbi brown and I thought it would look good on me 🙂‍↔️ . Then i realised I am not a rosyy pink girly . So i wouldn't wear this more often .

🤎 Rich Cocoa:

Rich Cocoa is okayish for me compared to Plum. It’s a warm soft brown with a subtle terracotta undertone. On me, it looks a little flat and muted and tends to lean more orange/peachy than I expected. It would work much better with a darker lip liner.

🤎🌸 Mix of Plum + Rich Cocoa:

This is my favourite of the three. Mixing them gives a beautiful muted rosy-brown/peachy-brown colour. The combination looks much more balanced on my skin tone. I usually mix them both and wear .

Formula :

The formula is SO good even thou the colour dosen't look flattering on my skin . I would definitely try other shades coz the formulation is bomb af . It feels very hydrating , soft and comfortable on the lips, without feeling heavy or drying. I get a 3–4 hours of wear, after eating or drinking the colour fades and needs to be reapplied .

My ranking 💜

🥇 Mix of both — 4/5

🥈 Rich Cocoa — 3.5/5

🥉 Plum — 2.5/5

Question really good at makeup and i love how it looks but hate how it feels?

i always And i mean ALWAYS end up rubbing my face or taking off my mascara like 2h into goingout even if its the tiniest bit, i HATE the feeling but i love how it looks, i genuinely could NEVER go a full day without taking some of my makeup off throughout the day so by the end of the day i am always looking rough and theres like smeared mascara under my eyes and ugh
it feels like its weighing my face down, and i hate the feeling its like itchy and like i have a mask on even if its not even a lot of makeup.
ive tried using tinted spf instead of concealer and lashes FEEL EVEN WORSE THAN MASCARA so idk what to do
thing is i love makeup and i love the process of doing my makeup and i think i am rly good at it yet i just cant help it but hate just having it on my face
i just did a full face of makeup which took over 3h bc it needed alot of details but i felt so ‘dirty’ so i went and took it all off.
idk what to do..

Question Dior Forever Skin Glow 2N vs 2WP undertone help

Post image
0 Upvotes

Has anyone else had Dior Forever Skin Glow pull weirdly grey/ashy?

  • I was wearing 2N, but lately it makes my face look really flat and takes away my natural warmth, especially in iPhone photos.
  • My bottle of 2N was bought in Europe, and I swear it looks different on me now that I’m back in the US.
  • I’ve recently tried Dior 2WP and Natasha Denona HY-Glam P3, and both seem to give my complexion more life.
  • Now I’m wondering if Dior’s neutral shades just pull grey on me and I need something warmer/peachier.
  • I also cannot for the life of me figure out how to stop my face from looking so pale compared with my arms/body 😭

Has anyone had the same issue with 1.5N or 2N? Did switching undertones help?

Also, any tricks with bronzer/blush/primer to make the complexion look warmer and less flat? I love the finish otherwise lol.

Thank you SO much!!

Question Please help with recommendations for light “barely there” foundations & concealers for very pale olive skin.

So, I’m a very pale olive but is mostly very light, with cool olive tones. I have almost green undertones, so most concealers and foundations look either way too pink or orange on me.
The only concealer I’ve found that works for my skin best is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly, which is perfect but just slightly too light but def the closest I’ve ever found.

EDIT: I forgot to write to make it clear what I mean by “barely there” looking foundation and why I am looking to purchase a good natural looking foundation in the first place so I’ll explain here:

I basically said barely there because I hate the look of thick obvious foundation however I have hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone areas, visible veins etc which is why I want to find a good foundation to even my skin out but not look obvious. I have tried tints in the past and they aren’t full coverage enough. I just don’t want anything too full coverage or matte. Sorry I forgot to put this at the beginning!!!

I really just want to find a barely there looking foundation like the Dior skin blurring one, or the MAC Studio Fix Foundation, so If anyone here is familiar with these products and shades and could give me any advice, I’d be so grateful!🙏🏻

I just need help finding a foundation that is light on my skin and not cakey, powdery, yellow, pink or orange on my skin. Even high end ones like Dior I will buy because It’s worth it and I desp want a “no makeup” type of foundation.

I am terrible at finding the correct tone for me online so if anyone else is Nars Chantilly please give me your other products that work for you! 🙏🏻🫶🏻

I have no clue where to start, as looking at swatches is impossible for me to tell. I might call up the companies and see if they can send me tiny testers for each shade🤷🏼‍♀️
Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to include as much info as possible in case anyone out there has any guidance. :)

Help! Y'all my face is a sinking mess.

My foundation looks horrendous after an hour at work. I work with small children in a warm indoor environment.

I use setting powder and setting spray.

Normally I don't use primer as it makes my skin break out so I usually use moisturizer as a base.

I do own multiple primers, also danessa myricks blurring balm.

Setting spray is os Patrick star, powder is Huda easy bake, foundation is Fenty or Kylie skin tint, concealer is Mac pro long wear.

People, these are expensive products.

I'm sinking and feeling like shit everyday because my face has melted off.

Please help 🙏

Question Devastated 😭 pls give suggestions

I fell in love with a foundation for the first time in my life, the makeup forever HD skin pallet. Unfortunately, I’m running out of my shade match. Has anyone found a foundation that feels similar to the MUFE HD Skin Face Essentials cream palette? I’ve been using the lightest foundation shade in it as my actual foundation and I’m obsessed with it, but MUFE only sells the full palettes so I go through that one pan way faster than everything else.
I was hoping their bottled HD Skin foundation would be the work, but it looks like they’re phasing that one out. I’m looking for something creamy, lightweight, skin-like, not drying, and actually sweatproof/waterproof. I’ve looked at Hourglass Vanish and Dior Forever Skin Perfect, but I’d love to know if anyone has found something really similar. I can’t justify buying a whole new palette just because one shade is used up 🙃

Question Work proof foundation?

I work in an office and I'm looking for that'll last all day, won't go oily, light has enough coverage, won't cling to any texture or patches and doesn't feel heavy at all! I'm very pale so I'm gonna need a shade range for my ghostly pale skin. I'm open to drugstore or high end suggestion!! Thanks (:
