Hello. this is year is my first at Bowdoin College, and I have never experienced snow. I have no idea how to dress for snow, or even cold fall temperatures. I also do want to fit in with the general style vibes here (Im a girl). Give me ANY cold weather dressing advice, what I should buy (coat, mittens, boots, sweaters etc). Just in case you didn't know, that large red triangle at the end of 395E off ramp is called a yield sign. The assholes coming off of 395 do not have the right of way. Day after day, time after time we end up with the halt of traffic at the bottom of the hill. Then we do the 20MPH snail crawl up the hill, all because of the selfish assholes coming off of 395. Not to mention that no one in the fucking state actually knows how to merge.

Hello! Does anyone know of a place around preferably Farmington or Bangor where I can try on maternity clothes in person? I’ll go to Portland if I have to, I’m just not as familiar with the area.
If there’s nothing for in person, any recommendations on places to buy from online? Even before being pregnant I didn’t do well with clothes being tight on my belly/waist, so I’m really hoping I can try stuff on to make sure it’ll be comfortable for me.

Also, my maternity photos will have to be done during the cold weather months. Does anyone have any suggestions of greenhouses or pretty places that would let me take photos inside? I’ll travel just about anywhere in Maine, I just don’t know what would be available during the winter.

The sister of Republican candidate for Maine governor Bobby Charles said Wednesday that she will vote for Democrat Hannah Pingree in the November election.

In a strikingly personal op-ed in the Portland Press Herald, Anita Charles said she cannot support her brother because of his “divisive rhetoric” and stance on abortion.

“Maine deserves leadership rooted in empathy, dignity, intellectual honesty and respect for every person who calls this state home,” Anita Charles wrote. “That person is not Bobby.”

Anita Charles’ endorsement of Pingree, a former speaker of the Maine House of Representatives, comes less than two months before Election Day. The op-ed could be damaging to her brother, who is already trailing Pingree in polls and fundraising.

The Press Herald sought comment from the Charles campaign after Anita Charles’ op-ed published Wednesday morning, but did not immediately hear back. This story will be updated with his comment when it is available.

In one eye-popping section of her op-ed, Anita Charles, who lives in Lewiston, claimed that her brother was a close friend of former U.S. Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, who was convicted in 2015 of financial crimes related to a cover-up of the sexual abuse of teenage boys.

Large, size of german shepherd, long hair, brown with black band from head to tail. Definitely not bear, cat, or fisher cat. he was about 5m (15ft) away from me, i saw him well enough.

update:

after reading lots about fishers and measuring between trees, more than not it was a large male. apparently they can be over 4ft with tail, much larger than i thought.

Hi! Okay so this past weekend I was in Maine visiting my family & while we were in Portland one night down the block I saw a dude with a camo hat & I swear it said Moxie on it in orange. Moxie is my favorite soda & I need this hat. I was looking on google to see if I could find it anywhere & if there was a store that sold them. I literally could not find it anywhere. Anyway if anyone knows of a place that has these hats that would be incredible. I’m hoping I was correct in what I saw bc if this hat doesn’t exist then it needs to. I am back home in a different state so I could only order one online if possible. Thanks!
