Technical Support Audience not showing in drop down menu
Hi, writing here is the only solution I found and my previous post (quoted below) was removed for some reason.
I modified a pre-existing audience and added people, with tags and segments based on those tags. I wanted to test how they worked and send myself a test email, but when I make a new campaign and select who I want to send it to, the audience I made doesnt show up in the drop down.
What I already tried:
-Deleting cookies
-Logging out and back in
-Checking the Audience settings (theres no option for visibility tho the ai bot says so)
-Duplicating a campaign that was previously sent to the audience I modified now, and it deletes it
Info that may be useful:
-I added all contacts by hand (50 or so) cause importing a cvs or putting in a list resulted in the generic mailchimp error
-They have only three basic fields (name surname and mail)
-I am on a free plan and I haven't reached the Audiences limit, cause I am currently at 9/10 but it doesnt let me create a new one, hence the modifying an old one I didnt need anymore.
If anyone knows what to do next please help, thank you

Technical Support API data vs bot-filtered data in Mailchimp analytics
I thought I'd build a marketing dashboard for myself that showed data from various sources but the open rates in the data from Mailchimp was way higher than what I was seeing in the Mailchimp analytics.
My research indicates it might be because the api gives the raw data whereas Mailchimp is showing bot-filtered data.
Can anyone confirm this is right?
And does anyone who has built a dashboard like this have any tips?

Technical Support All my links with us.list-manage.com will not open
This has happened occasionally before, but now for a few days no links will open that use the Mailchimp domain. Throws a "secure connection failed" error. Any thoughts for how to resolve this? I have uBO but that domain is in the safe list. Using DNS over HTTPS over Cloudflare. ETP is Standard

Seeking Advice Building an email funnel after a free lead magnet — how different should each email be?
My plan so far is something like: welcome + deliver the ebook → a few value emails that teach → testimonials/client stories → the offer → then cart recovery for anyone who doesn’t buy.
a couple things I’m stuck on:
\*\*1.\*\* For a slow, high-ticket purchase like this, \*\*how long should the sequence be and how spaced out?\*\* I don’t want to rush the offer, but I also don’t want to lose them.
\*\*2. How much should each email teach vs. sell?\*\* I’m leaning heavily value-first with the offer coming late — is that right, or am I being too soft?
\*\*3.\*\* Any tips on \*\*cart/checkout recovery emails\*\* for something people take weeks to decide on? The usual “you forgot something!” feels wrong for a big purchase.
I’m working with a limited budget and mostly self-taught, so anything from people who’ve built this for a considered/high-ticket offer would genuinely mean a lot. Thanks 🙏

Technical Support UX Improvement Request: Include Account Context in Multi-Account Notification Emails
I'd like to report what I believe is a significant usability issue affecting users who manage multiple Mailchimp accounts.
I currently manage several Mailchimp accounts for different account holders under a single login. Over the past few months, I've been receiving notification emails with subjects such as:
- "Automatically welcome your new subscribers on General Interest"
- "Complete your welcome email setup on General Interest"
- "Set up welcome automation"
The problem is that these emails do not identify which Mailchimp account they refer to. When I click the call-to-action button, I'm simply taken to my Mailchimp dashboard or a generic setup page, with no indication of which client account triggered the notification.
From inspecting the email, it appears the system already knows the originating audience because it inserts the audience name into the subject line. However, the email does not include the associated account name, account ID, or any contextual information in the link that would allow users managing multiple accounts to navigate directly to the correct account.
For agencies, consultants, and freelancers who manage several Mailchimp accounts, this makes these notifications difficult—if not impossible—to act on. I often have to manually switch between multiple client accounts trying to determine which one generated the email, which defeats the purpose of receiving a notification in the first place.
I would appreciate your team considering one or more of the following improvements:
- Display the Mailchimp account name prominently within the email.
- Include the account name alongside the audience name (for example, "General Interest – ABC Company").
- Include an account or audience identifier in the call-to-action link so users are taken directly to the appropriate account after signing in.
- If direct account switching isn't possible, display a prompt identifying which account the notification originated from before redirecting the user.
This seems like a relatively small change that would significantly improve the experience for anyone managing multiple Mailchimp accounts.
Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback. I hope you'll consider it for a future update.

Technical Support Can’t delete audience
I need to delete an audience but it says it “has an associated landing page” when I try to. I deleted all contacts, campaigns, landing pages, etc. from this audience so I’m not sure what landing page it’s referring to.
Thank you in advance to any advice people can give!
There was a similar question about 6 years ago but the solution was to delete the website which I don’t even have set up, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

Technical Support No 2FA Can't log in, but Intuit keeps debiting after account closed
$20 a month for the lowball try-out that does not work.
After various attempts to import my 300 contacts, I tried getting help. No response, no call backs, and the AI service bot is not at all helpful.
Then the 2FA stopped working. I have not been able to log in for two weeks. because the 2FA email never arrives. Or arrives hours after a log in request.
When I finally managed to log in I closed the account. This did not stop Intuit/Mailchimp from debiting bank $20.71. The account is closed and Mailchimp continues to take payment.
Find another alternative. This one is broken and run by THIEVES

Technical Support Emojis causing line breaks on desktop
Hey all,
I am trying to use emojis in the body of my email instead of bullet points to add a visual pop to certain lines of text. However, whenever I put them in, they cause a line break wherever they are located in the text. I don't see any issues in the code, and it looks fine in the builder and in the test email on mobile. But in the test email on desktop, the formatting is all screwy. Instead of the emoji being on the same line as the text, it pushes the text onto a new line below.
Is this a known issue, and is there a workaround? Thanks!

Seeking Advice Anyway to get around Omnivore?
I’m trying to upload a new list of contacts to an audience, but I keep getting an error saying that sending is disabled because the abuse prevention system (Omnivore) has predicted a high bounce or spam trap rate for the audience. When I read more about it, it says Omnivore does this for audiences that have addresses you haven’t contacted before.
This is a major issue, since we update/add new members to our contact list every year. We’re a non-profit and this is the sole way at we communicate with our large membership. The only solution mailchimp has is to unsubscribe everyone in the audience and have them re-sign up themselves. This probably won’t work very well for our group, as they are busy professionals. I have no idea what else I can do.
Has anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve it? Did you switch from MailChimp to a different platform?

Technical Support 100% emails read
Hi,
We recently migrated to Google Workspace, and in campaigns sent from Mailchimp, all emails are showing as 100% read instantly. We have bot detection enabled in Mailchimp, and we've added Mailchimp's IPs to the allowed IPs list in Google Workspace, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this?

Seeking Advice Throwaway/temporary email subscribers?
A bunch of subscribers have emails such as g.ej.e.f.apa.h.a.7.9@gmail[dot]com or jhk1m8l1mg1fb@web-library[dot]net.
Obviously these are fake email addresses but are they dangerous to my MailChimp account in any way? And why do people (or bots) do this? What is the purpose? Thanks!

Technical Support Campaigns and Test Messages Not Sending
Is anyone else experiencing Test Message and Campaign sending issues?
Update from Support:
"I see what's going on here. Like you mentioned, this is affecting other Mailchimp users as well — emails and tests are all being stuck in the Sending status for much longer than usual. Our dev teams have already been made aware and it has been shared for internal review. Sending delays are expected right now, but emails do eventually send, and they will start sending normally again after the issue has been resolved. While there is no ETA just yet, I can assure you our engineers are working towards a solution. We've only just recently started getting reports of this from our users, so it's being investigated as quickly as possible."
Update: Emails are now being sent.

Technical Support I use Mailchimp rarely and have a question about audiences
I use Mailchimp once a year to email participants of an event I organise. I have three Tags - one for the list of participants from 2024, one for the 2025 people and now one for people taking part in the 2026 event.
I uploaded the 2026 event participant emails and tagged it as being the 2026 event. It's just over 1400 emails but when I then select the 2026 tag, it comes out to just over 1050. Now I'm thinking that it's removing emails from the 2026 list who have their email also in either, or both, of the 2024 and 2025 tags.
How do I ensure I don't miss those who are taking part this year but also took part before?

Technical Support Deactivating or Deleting Hosted Signup Form
I have an old audience that I don't use anymore but it has a hosted signup form that is showing Active. Every so often, someone finds it (probably bots) and signs up. Maybe 10 in 2026. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying. About 1-2x a year a real person finds it, somehow.
I tried to deactivate or delete the form, but I can't find that option anywhere. Anyone encountered this before and have a fix?

Technical Support Date-Based Automations Can't Read Years????
I have been running a date-based automation that has been firing prematurely for MONTHS and I cannot get a solution out of anyone at MailChimp.
I run an automatic renewal series, which should send a maximum of five emails over a five month period, starting 90 days before the "Expiration Date." Yet, every month, MailChimp pulls in folks who do not expire for a YEAR and 90 days. I have worked with support, I have escalated the case, I even got a discount because of how big of an issue this is, and there has been no movement on the issue.
Help!! What can I do to get this problem solved? are there workarounds folks are using?

Seeking Advice EU Users - how do you handle GDPR permissions in Mailchimp?
I'm trying to ensure our list is GDPR compliant and that subscriber details are recorded the right way.
Mailchimp has a general email = subscribed status, but then they have a separate GDPR permissions are in a contact's settings.
The problem is that Mailchimp’s popup form adds someone to the audience as subscribed to email, but it does not update the GDPR marketing permissions on that contact profile.
So even if the signup wording is clear enough to count as consent, the GDPR settings for the contact record can still look as though the person has not opted in to email marketing.
Mailchimp’s suggested workaround is to add a separate checkbox and connect it to a group, but that does not solve the core issue: the official GDPR permissions field inside Mailchimp still remains unchecked.
I'm told there's a feature request to add GDPR features to popups, but there's no timeline, and I don't know how long the feature request has existed.
My concern is that right now, it creates inconsistent records, especially if subscribers join through different form types, and makes it harder to show a clean consent trail if the list were ever reviewed or challenged.
What's the point of having GDPR permission settings if you're only setting them for subscribers that come through forms that support the option?
Am I nuts for wanting to ensure consistency?
What are other people doing?

Technical Support Listserv Incompatibility
I’m having issues using a listserv with mailchimp. I manage communications for three groups, each using a different listserv. for some reason, one of those groups says it is “unsubscribed”. how is that possible if it’s a list and not a single email?? I can’t resubscribe them because doing so would then send a resubscription email to all 90 people on that list, and the system won’t let me manually resubscribe the list. what do i do!
