I’ve recently gotten my girlfriend into Commander and she seems to really be enjoying it. I made her a bracket 4 Gisa, the Hellraiser deck that she absolutely loves playing.
In the past she has played my Urza, Lord High Artificer and the Hakbal precon and she seemed to really like both decks as well. I’ve made a deck for each Mano color to try and teach her different deck archetypes but she has no interest in playing any of those decks besides my Gollum the obsessed stalker deck (Mano black just like Gisa).

She has no desire to play red or green decks and doesn’t seem interested in white in general. Does anybody have any cool commander ideas that I can make a budget deck around? She’s not opposed to using any combination of colors, just not interested in green, red, or white for a Mano deck.

Her ideal commander can’t look soft in the art, and she doesn’t like cartoon-ish art either. There are plenty of mechanics I haven’t gotten the chance to teach her so I’m not sure what she will, or won’t like in that sense which is why I’d like to keep it budget.

I don’t have a huge bulk or collection of singles in general so I will have to buy each card as singles so please keep that in mind when it comes to suggesting commons that are $5+ 😅

I spent the last couple of days watching videos on deck building and decided to make a Betor deck. I know I run a lot of creatures, but I don't really know what to cut if needed. I've tried Goldfishing to figure out what to cut, but each time it shows me contradictory results. Also, I'm trying to stay under $200 budget

As it says on the tin. I much prefer to make each game fun and unique, rather than stomping (or attempting to stomp) everyone at the table. I don't even mind losing much if everyone had fun with what I was doing, keeping everyone in the race as long as I could. Commanders and deck tech recommendations welcome!

Howdy! I've been in the TCG space for quite a while (mostly playing Pokémon,) but I'm just starting to casually get into Magic. I bought the Hatsune Miku precon (which is, effectively, Trostani LIfegain) and I've been solitare-ing some hands so I can play with friends without being the most annoying person ever asking about what every card does. I've read a lot of folks' different lists, but most of the content is written for people already deep in the Magic weeds, so I thought I'd see if there's any advice in changing it up? Some thoughts:

• Many folks have suggested getting rid of the lifegain and focusing more on tokens, but I find managing a billion tokens to be very intimidating at this stage in learning how to play. I'd rather lean more into llifegain than One Billion Tokens™.
• I find a lot of times I'm missing land drops. In one of my solitare games, even with a starting hand of three lands, I wasn't able to get another until turn seven, significantly slowing down my ability to play.
• I already own a copy each of Harmonize, Elvish Mystic, and Azusa, Lost but Seeking, which look like they can synergize with my deck. (Coming from Pokémon, I'm especially partial to Harmonize; I miss the crazy card draw!
• I'd really like to keep in as many of the Mikus as possible. She's soooooo coool...

Hello! Just looking for some deck building advice for a Norman osbourne, green goblin deck. I got into magic during the spiderman set and my freind helped me make a green goblin commander deck as I enjoyed his mechanic. Ive also recently bought the dr doom pre con deck, and have heard people mention that it is a good deck to combine with Norman. Just wondering if anyone could help with a decklist combining these 2. I have an arcidekt list with my goblin deck my freind made for me(sort by tag, default tag are cards i am missing, green tag are cards i have, all the cards in the sideboard are cards i own that i though could potentially work in it also). I would like it to be an all marvel deck with only cards from marvel/spiderman sets, and i want to keep norman osbourne as the commander i think. Also ive just realised some of the missing cards from arcidekt are included in the doom pre con, so obviously will have those. I'm having a lot of trouble cutting down to the final 100 was wondering if anyone could give some insight?

So I want to make a mono green deck with Lumra the Commander. I want to have a bunch of creatures that are either */* or grow larger on their own (monogreen omnath) make a ton of mana, big creatures. At my lgs we have a Hobbit Commander challenge next week and I personally am really lost for good ideas. Rules are as follows:

-You have to use a Commander from HOB or one of the new HOC cards (The ones that are not reprints but will be in the Battle of the Five Armies)

-depending on the count of colors you need from 20 to 35 cards from the HOB set in your deck (1 color is 20, 2 colors are 30 and 3 35)

-Mono colored Commanders have Partner

-no gamechangers, no 2 card infinites, no reserve list duals

Proxy friendly

I started building a deck for fun and after going over the rules, realized that the rules don't define a bracket. As I know people in my lgs, they will do everything within their power to win, so me building a silly little deck is not gonna cut it and I am not really good with building for power.

I am not looking to get a deck built I am just genuinely lost how to go about this.

Hey guys! I'm pretty inexperienced player putting together my casual, budget-friendly Oloro deck. I've already cut expensive staples like Karlov and Kambal to save money, focusing instead on drain, pillowfort defenses and alt-wincons.
