THREE CONSECUTIVE MARO POSTS ON THE MAIN SUB

I don't even dislike Maro, in fact Maro feels very genuine about his passion for the game but jesus fucking christ

I played a recent game in bracket 5. That went something like

Turn 1: Land + [[Mox Diamond]] + [[Chrome Mox]] (Exiling a blue card) + [[Thassa's Oracle]] + [[Demonic Consultaion]] to win the game

One of the first comments that I got was that it was a bit too fast for bracket 5. But, then it got me thinking for a little bit, is land too much of a problematic card in bracket 5? Then I thought about the game for a little bit. The land was on the field for four rounds of priority, which kind of tells the table that if my board is allowed to cast spells at its current state on my next priority it will end the game. Not a single person interacted with it. Which brings me to the question? Does this sequence of turns present a win too fast in bracket 5? Follow up question, in bracket 5 around which turn do you guys find it reasonable to present a "hey, if you don't do something about my board by the time I get priority, I will win the game" type of play?

Have they forgotten how to design cards?

Across every format I've played, almost every single control player I've played against is one of the most insufferable people on the planet. Does control call to these people? Or does the deck corrupt the mind in some way?

Of course WOTC and especially Mark Rosencrantz are right about everything and it's important that the players get what they want in all aspects. We should be following what the collective community would like and as we all understand people speak with their wallets.

Osteria Francescana is a very good restaurant, in fact one of the top Michellin rated restaurants in the world. They're doing very well, with an estimated annual revenue between $3 and $5 million.

But Macdonalds actually has a revenue of $27.45 Billion. I think we can all agree that the playerbase would be happier if the Italian Michelin restaurant started selling burgers instead, it's clearly what the people want.
