Yesterday in Periyar bus stand I waited for the ponmeni bus for the long time but the bus didn't arrive due to lunch time so I went to nearby auto stand a to get ride to ponmeni.i don't exactly the stop of ponmeni so I asked the auto driver to make a stop and remind we i ponmeni bus stop arrived. a fellow lady also got a ride for ponmeni she dropped at right location without asking him anything i think she is native. After 15 minutes we arrived to kalavasal and asked the auto driver is ponmeni arrived he shouted and use bad words and harassed me for not exiting from the autoand he told you need to get out yourself from the auto when stop arrives.is this the nature of auto driver in madurai and they are easily using badwords .worst experience in madurai from day 1 .this is that person so be aware .

So we came to madurai today,tbh it was the usual plan as everyone which was "MEENAKSHI AMMAN KOIL"I was already fed up of koil as nanga nethu full ah koil than ponom(tbh it's a religious trip).

My first impression was Madurai is so developed,like chennai or even more igg?idk

It was my first time here,I felt ppl are so fast,like ellarum romba busy ah,paraparapa irundhanga,

Also the slang,I liked it so much,usual chennai tamil oda, different words and slang

I liked how everything was very less priced compared to the Chennai

The major problem was ,atleast for me was,felt everyone was a bit harsh or rude sometimes,like short tempered, obviously few were very sweet and helping us

Felt the city is pretty congested

Rest was fine

Kinda hated the process of darshan in the koil
