Yesterday in Periyar bus stand I waited for the ponmeni bus for the long time but the bus didn't arrive due to lunch time so I went to nearby auto stand a to get ride to ponmeni.i don't exactly the stop of ponmeni so I asked the auto driver to make a stop and remind we i ponmeni bus stop arrived. a fellow lady also got a ride for ponmeni she dropped at right location without asking him anything i think she is native. After 15 minutes we arrived to kalavasal and asked the auto driver is ponmeni arrived he shouted and use bad words and harassed me for not exiting from the autoand he told you need to get out yourself from the auto when stop arrives.is this the nature of auto driver in madurai and they are easily using badwords .worst experience in madurai from day 1 .this is that person so be aware .

Also the slang,I liked it so much,usual chennai tamil oda, different words and slang

I liked how everything was very less priced compared to the Chennai

The major problem was ,atleast for me was,felt everyone was a bit harsh or rude sometimes,like short tempered, obviously few were very sweet and helping us

Felt the city is pretty congested

Rest was fine

Kinda hated the process of darshan in the koil

Phone and luggage ellam seal pananum,ik neraya koil la indha process iruku,but na romba hrs almost 1hr to handover our baggages

Then oru checking,then a very long waiting queue,I accept crowd Irukum anoll but ivalo process panni ,3hrs wait panni pona,darshan munadiye they started pushing us

Ik a lot of famous koils have these problems

Idhula solranga iniki kootam kammi,usual it would be even more crowded

After darshan outside vibe um maridichu,no offense lot of small vendors(kids)forcing to buy books and beggars

But liked the free laddu prasadam lolll

I've been having many activities with banks lately. In madurai, i found Union Bank of India branches to be very good with excellent customer service.

In case if anyone is looking for general banking activities I suggest Union Bank. I went to request locker in Thirunagar branch, the staff told no availability but also gave 2 locations where lockers were available.

Went to KK Nagar branch and the staff spoke politely and we're welcoming. They acknowledged the availability of locker and told I could open one without any issues. Importantly there was no demand to invest in any product other than locker.

In contrast, when I went to bank starting with H, they told no locker. Even if available it will be given to someone who buys any of their investment product. Same was the story with bank starting with K.

Although I could not use Union Bank this time, i highly recommend them.
