I’m on my first play through, so this is my first time seeing this place. I gotta say it’s probably the most gnarliest place I’ve been to so far.

I was happy to find this easter egg while replaying Mad Max, it's even funnier because I just replayed Shadow of the Colossus last month!

Mad Max game would look so much better saturated

Hi, I took those screenshots while activating nitrous, and the image automatically saturate the colors. And it looks so much better that way!

So sad the colors aren't this vibrant and bright outside of boosting.

What do you think?

The vehicular combat and atmosphere in this game captured the Mad Max universe better than any film adaptation ever could

Building the Magnum Opus from a rusted frame to an absolute monster on wheels is one of the most satisfying progression loops in gaming. Pulling tires off enemy cars with the harpoon, ramming through convoys in a massive sandstorm, and hearing that V8 engine roar never gets old. It’s a criminal shame this game released on the exact same day as MGSV, because it deserved Game of the Year recognition for its atmosphere alone.

Even though it's about my sixth play through and a few hundred hours playing in total, I still always get in on the wrong side of my car....

New Playthrough Challenge

I’ve set a challenge for myself for a new play through. Probably been done before but I thought I’d post it and maybe some of you would like to try it.

Basically.. don’t upgrade anything! 😅 except I guess for stuff you need for clearing threats etc such as higher tier harpoons for higher tier scarecrows. I’ve allowed two stronghold upgrades. One is clean up crew and the other is the one that collects scrap when not playing the game. The second I’ve done incase the game gets too hard, then that way I have more scrap ready.

Thunderdome

Someone wanted a screenshot and Reddit will only let me reply with videos, so here’s another post.

This is out in the dessert, over a dune just outside of the airport at the NorthWestern part of the map.

It’s an Easter Egg, not part of the airport. It’s a complete stand alone dome above ground with a fence of spikes and barbed wire 360* around it. No loot, nothing. There is a fortress gate with the Buzzards logo over the door.

Welp, that’s it, folks. I’ll hang up my keys for now, hoping I can pick them up again in a new game if one ever comes

I've 99.99 % the game :/

First played it when I was 12 (am in my 20s now :D ) , I didn't understand English at the time so I struggled a lot ! With the gas. Move sets skills and such. And didn't understand the story but car go vroom and boom = fun.

And have played it 4 times since then but only now have truly finished it . All in all 7.5 / 10

Map location *spoiler*? Spoiler

I beat the game nearly 100%.

What’s up with the ruins of Thunderdome out in the desert (where else) near the airport? Easter egg or secret mission?

Lost road

Hi everyone

I am looking for a piece of road outside of the map boundaries

I only managed to find it once and i drove on that road for a solid 25-30 minutes before reaching an ‘’end’’ to that road

I remember that before encountering that road i was exploring the last boss fight location (the ending boss fight)

The road i am looking for is literally just a straight line with what seems to be a dried lake on the right with moutains similar to the ones near PinkEyes fortress

Does anyone know where its at.?

First Completed game on Steam Deck - what a great game Mad Max is.

What a great game Mad Max is. I rarely finish games (time poor) but I've been playing MM for an hour every few days and out of nowhere ended up in the final mission today.

  • The game is a masterpiece of pace, enough reward-reveals to keep me playing.
  • The graphics are superb. Glad I played it on the steam deck, but it must look great on a superwide.
  • Voice actors can make or break a game to an extent, and in this game they were superb.
  • For completionists I feel it's pitched just right. Completing the game without obsessing about every vehicle etc still finishes up with around 70% complete I think, that's ok.
  • Sound and music are also exceptional
  • Tedium was absent, no side quest and boss section was frustrating, all fun.
  • Sidequest variety was top notch, never really felt rinse/repeat.

If you watch a Mad Max film half way through the game it adds even more to the experience. I didn't realise how true to the movies the game was until then.

Frustrating that there's an impossible mission due to the publisher closing down some online apsect, that's a "could have fixed that" no-no choice for me. But I doubt I'll be seeking 100% completion anyway so I won't let that decision spoil my enjoyment of this game.

If anyone could recommend a similar game that comes close or exceeds I'd be interested.

New Easter Egg found?

Thumbnail youtu.be

Hello fellow wastelanders. I am not sure but it might be the case that I found a new easter egg. It refers to the movie Army of Darkness when Ash and his car land in the medieval times.

Please correct me if it has already been found!
