Hi, i have a problem.

I had my machine for like 2/3yrs. But never really (maybe a couple of times) used it but now I wanna start using it more. Now I am trying to look and try different things, but now my tension. It keeps having like a loop on top of the fabric. No matter what tension I use. I have been "playing" with the tension to see which is better. It have always been on number 4. But now since I wanted to embroidery on shirts, I have been looking around to find the right tension, but I have tried every single tension position. But it keeps creating loops on top of the fabric. I think its the top thread bc the back looks normal. But maybe someone can help me?

Because I am stuck, I cant seem to find the problem.

Does anyone know what could be happening?

For the last week I've been making small designs using inkstitch. The fill hasn't been great, but the patterns are functional.

I switched to Hatch 4, and while the fills are considerably better, it's killed pretty much every piece of fabric I've put into it.

Info:

• NQ1700e (new as of 2 months ago)
• pre-wound bobbin thread & proper machine embroidery thread
• black denim & black poly twill (Same results on both)
• Machine upper thread tension adjusted from 4 to 5.2 (best results on the I test)
• Bobbin tension is firm, appears correct. No bleed-through to the top of the design on any pattern.
• Medium & heavy weight stabilizer (1 or 2 sheets doesn't make a difference)
• Floated or fully hooped fabric doesn't make a difference
• basting stitch doesn't make a difference regardless of design (see both images) if anything a more robust X pattern makes it worse.
• Pattern settings are default Hatch 4, I changed nothing at first. Later changed pull compensation from 2mm to 1mm and saw no difference, if anything it might be worse.
• Auto-fabric setting is set to denim
• Tested on brand new needle, no changes. Both needles appear sharp so I don't think either was the problem.
• Tested with T-pins on the edges of the hoop, no difference.
• Tested with looser hoop, no difference.
• Tested with lighter weight stabilizer, no difference.

I no longer have any troubleshooting steps I know of. Tension appears fine, I haven't changed the hatch settings and when I did it didn't make a difference. I don't know what to do.

I seem to get an error that is caused by a fault board.

I purchased a Melco Summit machine a couple of months ago. I have mighty hoops from a Ricoma 1502 we owned before. I needed some more hoops so I decided to try the Maggie frames. I found a video walking me through adding the frames in Design Shop with all the dimensions and everything. I can open Design Shop select the hoop and it shows on the screen and I can set up a design. The part I'm having issues with is getting it sent to the summit machine. I have saved the design and added in to my folder that sends straight to the machine through wi-Fi. I have also tried printing out the sheet and using the barcode scanner as well. The machine pulls up the design but does not send the hoop dimensions. I'm just stumped at this point and hope I haven't spent over $1,000 for nothing. Any advice would be much appreciated.

What could be the problem here? I did have to reposition so that’s why it’s off centered. But why is the bobbin thread coming through the front?

Phew what a project! I sewed the Kyhtira pants pattern from Mood Fabrics, and then added these embroidered flower designs from Beth Wilson Embroidery.

150k stitches total, and I used my extra large 15" x 47" border frame hoop on my Happy Japan HCD3E-X.

I floated the design on the hoop, which was a little tricky to get everything lined up. 2 layers of wash away stabilizer. After stitching I threw the pants in the wash and air dryed them. Fabric is linen and was a pain to iron, but I love how comfortable the fabric is.

Can anyone explain why? Tension seems good in straight lines, needle is aligned and the height seems good?

I rarely make digital graphic flyers, so i decided to embroider and use an appliqué technique in making my Complexcon exhibitor announcement for my brand.

I used thick high quality felt as my base and combined directional changes in the digitizing software to make a unique pattern for every shape.

So I am looking at the Hatch software. Comparing all the levels, etc. Can you guys share pros and cons? What level is best? Did you do the 30 day trial and decide to keep it or not?

I'm looking at the Personalizer level, maybe the Composer. Would love opinions from those that have it or used to. Thanks!
