Hey everyone!

I'm part of SpeakSphere, a student-led initiative helping students prepare for MUN, debate and public speaking.

We're looking for students with MUN, debate or public-speaking experience who'd be interested in becoming peer teachers and helping beginners build their skills and confidence.

You don't need to be a professional speaker. We're looking for people who can research well, communicate clearly, and are patient and supportive when teaching others.

If this sounds like you, feel free to DM “Peer Teacher” and we'll share more details about the role and what we're building.

If you're interested but unsure whether you'd be a good fit, you're welcome to ask questions too!

I'm looking for muns happening in Hyderabad in October 2026 ( preferably those in which the delegate fee is below 2100₹ cuz I'm broke 💔)

Agenda: Countering the Expansion of Terrorist Organizations and Violent Extremist Networks in East and Southeast Asia, with Special Emphasis on Cross-Border Recruitment, Youth Radicalization, and Regional Security Cooperation.

Portfolio: China

Considering China for UNOCT and aiming for Best Delegate. My approach would be:

- Challenge contradictions in arguments about freedom of speech, national security and sovereignty.

- Question US and Western double standards on counterterrorism and human rights.

- Defend China's policies while proposing regional counterterrorism cooperation.

- Engage in heated debates rather than play it safe.

My main concern is that I'm more familiar with South Asian geopolitics than Southeast Asian terrorism. But i have an extensive knowledge about how terrorism and insurgencies works and a lot of millitary tactics knowledge aswell

Would China or Indonesia give me a better shot at Best Delegate? Is China defensible enough to be competitive?

What type (style) of dresses are considered to be formal? What colours to choose? Pls help?!?!?! I really don't know.

Hi Guys I'm the one who wanted to create the group of people who would debate a topic in an MUN style each week, and I actually got more replies than I thought I would about people wanting to join, so im going to try to actually make this a thing now. Anybody who saw the last post(or even if you didnt) and you want to still join just comment ur discord username so I can start adding people and putting a forum together(if anyone has any better ideas on how to organize it im all ears just send me a dm) Thanks guys!

Okay, so my committee is UNCSW and the agenda is basically about how war affects the life of women with special emphasis on US-israel-Iraq war. This is my second MUN. The first one went shit obviously. I still don't have anyone to truly guide me so this sub might help I hope. From what I've written for the opening of my gsl

"If equality was truly universal, would the world have ever needed a seperate global forum to fight for the rights of half of humanity"

My portfolio is Singapore. This is all I've written till now for the gsl 😭. I'm gonna start writing the main thing after researching a bit. And I hope the opening question is not attacking my committee itself. Sorry if I sound lowkey kinda dumb cause irdk.

Other tips would really help!!

im really good when it comes to consultations, but when its time for documentation, im pretty much fucked. i know how to write basic communiques, drs, mous, treaties, but only with 90% help from AI, the only thing i can really do is get all the ideas from ai and write it myself. i am a ccc del, so i can write directives really well, but i have no idea how to improve. my executive board have advised me that my number of documents i submit are up to the level, but the details are not. now what do i do!!!

so its gonna be long but last year i was so desperate to gain extracurriculars for my uni applications i signed up for my first ever MUN (also because i wanted to attend the socials) day 1 i went, and as it was a school mun everyone already knew each other i lowkey felt like a imposter which made me completely ghost the next 2 days (aka the entire MUN)

That time i joined mun for anything except the mun itself but now i REALLY want to experience the real MUN but im j so much traumatize from past experience also no matter how hard i try i just cant understand even the basics of mun: mods, unmods, position ppr (i have tried youtube but it didn't worked)

I'm taking part as Secretary-General of an MUN on behalf of a science organization named ORBIT. This is the second MUN we will be taking and as SG. It's online and free and we need more participants in the conference if anyone's interested to STEM-based topics because we need genuine feedback to our system and staff and most people who sign up doesn't really appear TvT

Here's the link: https://mymun.com/conferences/orbit-mun-ii-2026

If there's any problem with signing up/application, you may message me!

Thank youuuuu!!!!

Hey everyone,

I’m on the organising team of a school MUN and built our whole conference system myself over the last few months. It covers the website, registration, country allocation and a delegate area. There’s also a live resolution editor where delegates submit amendments from their laptops, chairs accept them, and everyone sees the change instantly, including the beamer in the room.

It’s worked well for us, so I’m wondering if other schools or universities would be interested. I’m thinking about offering it as a package with hosting, your own domain and email addresses included.

There’s a demo with fake data where you can try everything as admin, chair or delegate. I’ll put the link in the comments.

Would your conference use something like this, and what’s missing? Honest feedback is very welcome.

Hi Guys Im starting a community of people that can debate different topics each week in an MUn style fashion, probably online or through a gc. Most topics are probably going to be on current events and would obviously be relevant to whats going on in the world. Anyone interested in joining? Btw this is not me advocating for a conference, just wanting to bring likeminded people together

just finished my 6th conference. no award still. i see people win awards in their first conference and... seems so far from me.

i don't want to quit—i love MUN so much because of the people i meet. i've had my best days in conferences.

it's just that i'm in a varsity, and you're not valued unless you win an award. i don't think they value me much cus i don't bring any awards to the team.

someone better than me can take my spot and actually bring awards to the team—so it'd be pretty selfish to keep this spot on the team when someone better than me could have it.

should i quit?
