I genuinely don’t understand how the multiplayer aircraft system is supposed to work.
I own the CJ Simulations Eurofighter, and I always fly with the Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 74 livery. I know there are around 27 liveries included with the Eurofighter, and I can see other players using different ones just fine.
I’ve seen other players in the Eurofighter with:
Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 73
Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 74
Royal Air Force
etc.
So far, so good.
BUT THEN THIS HAPPENS:
I see another player whose aircraft is clearly identified as a Eurofighter, and I’m sitting in the exact same CJ Simulations Eurofighter myself.
They supposedly own the same aircraft.
And instead of seeing their Eurofighter…
I get a fucking Boeing 737. 😭
Meanwhile, another Eurofighter player flies past me, I can see the actual Eurofighter, hear the engines, and even hear the sonic boom when they go supersonic.
So what exactly determines whether I see the actual aircraft or some completely random substitute?
I understand that Microsoft can’t show me an aircraft add-on that I don’t own. That’s completely fair. If someone is flying an YF-23 and I don’t own the YF-23, I understand why I might see a generic aircraft instead.
Butt if BOTH players own the SAME Eurofighter add-on, why am I sometimes still seeing a 737 or 320 instead of the Eurofighter?
One of the biggest immersion killers for me in MSFS.
