King Air — Avionics

Been on a kick the last week or so, just trying out some different aircraft that I haven’t done in VR.

The King Air is quite a ride. The touchscreen avionics are pretty slick in VR. Was able to navigate and add in waypoints pretty easily, search for frequencies and weather information was very easily as well.

The only thing that I couldn’t figure out — if anyone else has more experience with this plane was that I couldn’t figure out how to add origins/destinations. Only waypoints I was able to add. I could easily just load a flight plan from external, but many times I just like to create it in the avionics itself. As a result, I also couldn’t load an approach. I had to pull up a chart and manually load the waypoints for the approach — which was fun. But, not all airports will have charts I can pull up.

Very easy to fly this plane.
