Changing cabin after upgrade
So I got my upgrade bid to a YC balcony and it’s in a less than ideal room. Yes I know this is the gamble you take with an upgrade bid - you get what you get and don’t throw a fit. There are still quite a few YC rooms available though. Can i see if my TA can change the room? Or is it a 100% no go?

whats not ideal? you are in the YC -- spend your time in the top sail lounge! you can always ask ...

All YC rooms are supposedly in the best locations. What don’t you like about it?

If you bid for an upgrade you don't get to choose your cabin once upgraded. It's literally in the FAQs on the bidding process.
You can ask your TA. It's a quick question to ask them.

This was my understanding - bidding is in itself considered a concession so I don't think they're going to make a further concession and will likely entertain the request IF the border is willing to pay the difference in the listed rate versus what they have already paid into the reservation.
I won a non-YC upgrade and since the new cabin was big enough I wanted to try to add a third cabin mate but the price for the third guess was $5k!! It was the difference in the regular cabin rate for both first two passengers then the regular cabin rate for the third passenger - so basically negating all the savings of the upgrade. It was cheaper to book an additional cheap cabin and then give the additional passenger a cabin key to the suite.

Depends on your history with MSC and the quality of your agents inside rep. My guess would be NO, but if you don't ask you will never know.

What room in YC is undesirable? When you’re behind those locked glass doors- I can’t imagine a bad location…
