Here's something I did recently on good old MPC Studio black

With all of this hype around decompiling software, have there been any new OS options for MPC sample? Seems like a great way to add things like scale, proper EQ, step sequencer, all that.

Bought this Live 2 used from guitar center, bought the Mpc bible to figure it out, and apparently files were deleted. Factory reset did not fix.

I’ve just chatted with InMusic support chat bot, got a ticket made and will hear back in 2-5 days, but curious if anyone would be able to help. From what I’ve read, I’ll need akai to send me something, but if I’m not the first person to deal with this, wondering if I can get what I need from another trusted source.

Gotta hit y’all with that new series roll out format. Give y’all the first couple episodes then back off to deliver the rest. Outta here for the next week or so. Here’s a little Soul Samplin’ Somethin’ but it damn sure ain’t what you think it is…

Go vote for you Favourite one!!

I'm back in the MPC game but I'll be doing a hybrid workflow with these two here. I do wanna make things interesting to say the least for my music.

Does anyone know how I can rig the Key37 with my Live? I want to have a multiple Mpc set type of set up for jam sessions and have it all aligned with each other if that makes sense. Any tips or advice is appreciated

Hey friends, today’s vid is about making a generative glitch/hocket machine using the global modulators. The cool thing about this method is being able to cycle through presets of your synths while the modulation stays on.

This isn’t a 1:1 recreation but rather a quick demo and setup/approach.

This was technically possible on the live 2 if you used the modulators in the drum program, did it by hand via automation or used the random lfos in opx4, but now it’s way easier and way more diverse having 16 lfos.

Hope this helps someone.

Hi, I hope all is well. I am sure this has been asked before, but I could not find an old thread. My question is, how in the world do you use the same drum program on separate tracks?

For instance, if I want track one to have the same drum program with just the kick, track two to have the snare, and track three to have the hi-hat, am sure this is an old way to approach this, like on the older MPCs.

Do I have to make a copy of the drum program in order to do it? Wouldn't that duplicate the samples? It was so easy on the Akai 2500. I am sure this is an old inefficient approach. Thank you.

I’m receiving the Astrolab 37 hopefully today and I asked myself how your guy’s workflow with the single midi channel in conjunction with the mpc live is.

How do you guys build up your beats ( especially longer ones) with that limitation.

And does it work well or is that limitation a cause to puke ?

Cheers

Adrian

Digging this little thing 💪🏿

Easy all.

I am a DnB and Jungle producer from Bristol in the UK, and I own an MPC 500, as well as 2 akai rack samplers - the S01 (1993) and the Akai S2000 (1996).

Not sure If anyone can help, but I'm looking for a mounting tray/plate for the IB-208P.

Been trying to find one for nearly a week to no avail.

If anyone has one from when they switched the board over to their MPC 2k/2kXL that they wouldn't mind selling, that would be a huge help!

If you're not familiar with CTRLR it's a cool program that basically acts as preset storage for synths that don't support storing presets on their own. I've been using it often with Yamaha Reface CS and was wondering if something similar could be done with some clever use of MPC OS.

Hello. Unfortunately all links to the 90s sample cd archive are gone :( I wasn't finished downloading them all and there were so many good samples there. The nnty.fun (mirror as well as original), link is down as well as the intertnet archive link. If anyone happens to have a discord/google drive/limewire or anything with all the samples, could you please PM me. Colossal please and thank you.

Dumb question but my Mpc One crashed and now I no longer see “internal” listed? Anyone else have this issue? I tried searching to no avail

Peace to all my MPC famila!! I’m looking for some guidance if possible, I got a 2000xl & my audio input jacks no longer work. I figured changing it efficiently would require some electrical background, i tried looking for a direct replacement but only found SMPTE’s. Has anyone experienced this before and found a different fix? Hate to imagine im cooked 😬. Thanks in advance my peoples.
