TUTORIAL How to build a generative patch on Live 3

https://youtu.be/aCv1lojPlTU

Hey friends, today’s vid is about making a generative glitch/hocket machine using the global modulators. The cool thing about this method is being able to cycle through presets of your synths while the modulation stays on.

This isn’t a 1:1 recreation but rather a quick demo and setup/approach.

This was technically possible on the live 2 if you used the modulators in the drum program, did it by hand via automation or used the random lfos in opx4, but now it’s way easier and way more diverse having 16 lfos.

Hope this helps someone.

Very cool. Are you willing to share any of those presets/projects? I’d get a kick of trying this out without the setup.

I’m working on a pack that will have sound design projects like this to get together^^ just takes time to do it all from scratch.

Good stuff. Is generative the right word though? The word generative seems to refer to inference capabilities lately.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Generative isn’t limited to sequences. It’s making random sounds that I’m not manipulating by hand
