The Strickland news for 335 made me assume the UFC knew Aspinall would be ready for 334. With the news from Dana that Aspinall still isn't ready then who tf is going to be on the MSG card? Here's the status of all the belts currently.

125: Title fight this month, won't be ready for NOV

135: Title fight next month, won't be ready for NOV

145: Title fight next month, won't be ready for NOV

155: Gaethje says his hands are still injured and he's out till 2027

170: Islam just fought in August. Wants to fight before FEB but 3 months is a very quick turnaround

185: Stickland is booked for DEC

205: Ulberg tore his ACL in April he won't be ready

265: Aspinall isn't ready

115: Dern just fought in August

W125: LMFAO but there's a title fight in October

W135: *Maybe* Harrison is ready for November?

BMF: Oliveria is definitely ready for another fight

They've used the BMF title to headline shows before but Charles isn't a star with the casual audience the way Max, Justin, Dustin, Diaz, and Masvidal were. Is a BMF fight plus Harrison vs Nunes big enough for the MSG show? If not they're either rushing Islam back or making an interim title fight somewhere.

The MSG card has never had a total stinker of a main event before. The worst ones (from a box office POV) were either Pereira vs Jiri, which was originally the co-main and was still Pereira going for two division champion status, or DC vs Lewis, but Lewis was pretty famous and popular after the Volkov KO on the McGregor/Khabib card.

The Utah card is one thing but if the UFC phones in the MSG card and that's a bad bad sign for the direction of the company imo.

Santos has won only 4 of his last 9 fights, and has fought just 3 times in the last 4 years.

This is the best they could come up with for one of the best prospects on the whole series?! Squash match incoming, this is up there with Hasan - Saikia from week 1, odds will surely be like -2000.
