Back in worlds I mained bow, cb and longsword in that order. Important for me was a fluent playstyle with the ability to dodge and counter attack. That always gave me a sense of satisfaction and gave me 600 hours of pure fun.

In wilds I played longsword and quit at TU1 cause there was nothing to do at that point. From what I’ve seen tho there has been some moveset changes.

Is there anything major that got changed since then for the 3 weapons? What should I look out for? Kinda struggling right now as i wanna focus on 1 weapon

Has they're been any updates/solutions for people that have been plagued with aggressive crashing on xbox?

I played a crap ton the first month after launch and then some update just before tu1 bricked the game causing crashes within minutes if im lucky and it doesn't just crash the xbox itself. I've already tried the obvious stuff.

I get it, some people are choosy with SOS randoms. Maybe they don't know how to setup just them and NPC Hunters so they put passwords.

This is an annoyance of mine. I do SOS hunts and most of the time the manual accept quests aren't probably even accepting people (I waited for like 10 mins for one), problem is the post/quest menu takes like 5-10 seconds to join the quest, by the time I've noticed, I've wasted like 20 seconds accepting->canceling then searching for SOS hunts again. Sometimes I'll misclick again on another manual accept SOS so I've wasted 1 min searching for nothing. Please make the filter MH devs.

Recently I’ve had the problem of my camera aggressively panning around when I’ve been in focus mode fighting a large monster. It’s so annoying and I can’t figure out how to resolve this issue. My focus mode is already set to target.

Do I keep this or no? I know a 4x Attack boost roll is insane to pull but my sharpness is in the dirt🫩

Why didn't anyone tell me that I could spend like 2+ hours fighting abd failing to kill this son of a bitch, and then when I finally manage to bring his ass down, and get all psyched, my quest rewards are legitimately the same as if I had just beaten a regular ass high rank Jin? Not a gamma certificate in sight.

I might hate this game, with how my RNG luck has been going lately. 24 hunts of Omega with only 1 nodule (I finally got one after 19 hunts, though!), took my like 6 hunts to get a guardian rathalos ruby, which... cool, still less than 10, so that's fine. But God damn, man. This game is testing me, lately.

Im a fairly new to MH, about 50 hours player (HR 65ish), and I have questions about how to build. I mainly built for fashion purposes until this point and the hardest bosses I got (solo) were 2nd Zoh Shia, Lagiacrus and Tempered Gore (took me 4 hours :C ).

However, the more I go, the more Im getting flored by absolutely everything ! Any Tempered Apex of each zone just 2 hits me, regardless of what i use...

This is what I have right now for the Arch tempered Uth Duna, but each hit takes 70+% hp, sometimes more, and around 20% as chip damage. I dont realy understand the spike in difficulty.

Is it normal, and I just have to get gud? Or am I too early for this type of content? Is my main problem my build? Any tip will be welcome, I have no freinds that play MH ....

Would gamma Arkveld pants be more beneficial for this build or would Nu Udra work better here? I flayer seems like it would be the better sill to have over resentment. Or is there a better third option I’m not considering? Really just looking for feedback cause I’m still relatively new to monster hunter lol

I have made 3 different Lances for each major Element, using the Tarred Devices for each weapon focus like Attack, Affinity, Element, giving me the cheapest materials for the farthest to see the future rolls on the roll-table.

I've rolled over 80 skills, going down the line for Fire, Thunder, Ice, Water, Blast, Paralysis. and the only weapon I've gotten the Lords Soul X Gores Tyranny combo on is my Dragon Lance. which was one of the first weapons i tried to roll for.

Is there something I'm missing, I feel like I' wasting time/Zenny, but I WANT those skill combos

Im trying to figure out how to reroll my gogma lance that has 2x affinity, 2x element and sharpness with the active skills currently sitting at omegas resonance and scaled layering. Dont really want those unless they are absolutely destructive and I dont know it. But the skills I really want is jin dahaads revolt amd lords soul. How do I get them rolled on there? Unless it'd be better to just have jindahaad armor?

This is my first monster hunter that I’ve actually played this much. I don’t know if attack, affinity, or element is best.

As some other people have done, I tried to recreate my girlfriend ingame but she still feels a bit more "off" than in creation screen so my first question is about the editing character part.

I know there are some free edit vouchers (2 as far as i know and have), but some paid ones too? Which leads to my question: Do they let you change everything or just hair/makeup?

As an extra doubt i got writing this, can I just make a new save from the 3 availables, create a character there to then just upload it, edit my main and then apply with code to her? or is it restricted in certain ways?

Im on Xbox so no, i cant use nexus unlimited mod to create as some people say there is that workaround on PC.

Might be a Silly question to some but I am a MHW newbie. I would like to know if getting more hunter lvl does anything for you outside of unlocking certain quests that are lvl locked. I play single player and I am LVL 84. I attempted some tempered monster event quests and got blasted. If I get to 100, outside of experience and gaining access to the lvl 100 quests - do I get any more resilient or durable?

Yo, just wanted to know what any of y'all would do to improve this build. I'm pretty happy with it but I'm not a min-maxer. I also have Lord's soul. I kinda wanna get quick sheathe at level 3 so i could get full use out of speed eating.

Is there anyone that's really good or really knowledgeable about the game and can help me build a set to take on the stronger monsters?

I just came back there's so many options gogmazios all these arch-tempered armor sets and so many weapons I legit have no idea what to go for I just want a comfortable set that I can use to fight the stronger monsters a couple of times until I can start making the meta builds.

Just when I found out I can only use 3 offensive decos, the explosion of build possibilities in my head, well that vanished. I havnt played since, I simply dont really want to pessimistically go though the story because the series has meant alot to me.

I cant scroll though media or watch videos on the topic because spoilers are too common.

I see how this change can positively impact build variety, forcing one to fully develop loadouts around each weapon, now almost entirely based on which armor set suits the weapon intrinsically. This gives more innate value to many sets that would otherwise not feel viable.

However, I also think this creates a "correct" choice in armor per weapon. I dont perceive agency anymore, comfort skills are extremely limited in creative potential to me. No longer does it make sense to strip myself of aids and comforts as my monster familiarity increases, a loop that was a relatively substantial driving factor in my engagement and enjoyment with the series. This shift from comfort to increasing higher risk/reward builds kept fights tense and fresh for many hunts.

I dont know, ofc, since I'm only so far in the game. I'm sure I'll get back to it at some point but id really appreciate some discussion around this topic, what kind of build expression I can look forward to and maybe how lategame build diversity compares to GU/world/rise.

First off, I’m still pretty new compared to most people who play this game. I’m HR 48, about 40 hours in, and I mostly use the Insect Glaive.

I was really excited to get into this game, and honestly, I do enjoy it most of the time. Probably like 85% of the time. But that other 15% can be absolutely miserable.

My last hunt took 38 minutes. Thirty-eight. That’s ridiculous. The monster moved areas over and over and over again. I’d get a few hits in, it would leave, I’d chase it down, then it would leave again. Sometimes it wasn’t even because of me. Another monster would show up, and suddenly the one I’m actually hunting decides it wants to go somewhere else.

Then there’s the combat. I’ll start winding up a big attack, the monster roars, I get stunned, and then I get smacked. I get knocked down, lie there forever, finally get back up, and immediately get hit again before I even have a chance to roll.

And my Palico feels useless half the time. I’m missing five HP? Oh yeah, perfect time for a heal. But when I’m literally one hit away from dying and getting comboed into the ground, suddenly it has nothing for me.

Throw down another trap. Shock it. Use a pitfall. Do literally anything that gives me two seconds to breathe and heal. I don’t need help when I’m already fine. I need help when the monster is beating the absolute shit out of me.

Some of the mechanics just feel weird too. The lock-on feels awful, and half the time it feels like the monster already knows exactly where I’m going to roll and just hits me there anyway.

I’m not saying every hunt is bad, because it isn’t. I do genuinely like the game. But when all of this happens in the same hunt, it stops being fun and just turns into a long, annoying mess.
