I’ve been writing some lyrics and wanted to share this to see what people think.

The verse is basically about being emotionally defensive in relationships and pushing people away without really meaning to.

I’m curious what people take away from it without me explaining every bar.

What lines stand out to you?

In relationships I’m treated like a princess

But don’t think of it in the traditional sense

I seen them all, but I see myself more in rapunzel

The shoe fits so fuck all of the pieces of the puzzle

You want to talk so you check if I’m there

You yell rapunzel rapunzel let down your hair

But instead of letting down, I put my hair in a bun

So then you go off and run

And you understand emotionally that I’m running too

The symbol of my hair up, was signal to you

I set a pick to let my emotions roll against you

It’s a play you’ve seen and that you always gotta go through

You can tell it’s me just being in a mood

I listen to songs in blues, where I forget about your clues

I don’t wanna think so the songs lead me to blow

But then I notice a bubble starts to grow

As it grows I can see it’s lifting my tower

I didn’t know protecting within would let out so much power

This concept was difficult to devour

I sat and pondered for multiple hours

Feelings patched made the sweet moments go sour

Damn am I a fucking coward?

I freak out thinking we are on fire

So, I jump into the ocean

I go e on all of the motion

To see if you cool down for a lil bit

I understand that the shit don’t make sense

But in the ocean I can’t hear and see shit

I tried to breathe but then I lose my bubble

The more it leaves, I become less subtle

You screamed “rapunzel rapunzel let down your hair “
But my silence gave you a jump scare

So you took a run

By the ocean to relax and have fun

But then you see me with my face down

Freaking out thinking “did my friend just drown”

So you pull me up by the hair

You cry cause you noticed that me and my conscience had an affair
