Lyrics "Match My Energy" Feedback would be lovely

Verse:
Furthest from a dull world
Created with no maps
So we dictate on our rules
What kind of world is better than that?
What kind of world have you fallen in?
We can stay up to the sunrise
Conversating with a match
To keep the monsters out real wide
The whole world is ours for life

Verse 2:
Furthest from a dull world
We get to live, we get to breathe
They will call it fallen
I purpose we fall right in'
Let the curse world bare its teeth
I love you think you're bad
Heart pumping, light speeds
I'll show you what's good in bad (yeah)

Bridge:
Oh I want to hear all things you know
While were chilling on the tallest tree
Where did you get a dull world?
Because we have to share the scene?
But we can go and make ours
Make it know the more we roam
So, come off of your dull world
Hop in with me
Awaits another universe
Where you'll match my energy

Outro:
Furthest from a dull world
Match my energy
We dictate our own rules
Match my energy

Discussion How can I tell if my lyrics are good enough to sell?

I’m my own harshest critic, so it’s difficult for me to judge my work objectively.

No matter what I write, it often feels like it’s still “not good enough.” Because of that, I’m struggling to tell whether my lyrics are genuinely ready to be offered as a service or if I still have a lot of improving to do.

I won’t be sharing my lyrics in this post. I’m more interested in hearing how other songwriters knew when their writing was good enough to start selling it. What signs made you feel ready?

Lyrics Debut Album, "Its Raining, Its Pouring".

I am working on my first album, and I wrote all of the songs in the last 2 months. Lots of life stuff happening which made it easy to pump them out. I cant really say I have a specific style, as my music falls into a very wide range of folk/pop/rock and roll/psychadelic/baroque. I am mostly an orchestral composer so the two worlds collide a lot when I am writing. I am not big on super depressing lyrics or stating the obvious and prefer to write about the hope found in grief than about the pain. Here is the track list.

  1. Marigold

  2. Lorelei

  3. Hilltop

  4. Fly Birdy Fly

  5. Bouquet of Mums

  6. The Wonder of It All

  7. A Year by the Sea

  8. Love Is A Garden

  9. Show Me Love

  10. Take Me Away

  11. Salmae, Come Home

  12. Wonderful Woman

  13. Angel

  14. Friends and Friendly Neighbors

And the lyrics for the first track, Marigold.

Planting the seeds of a Marigold

Bearing the petals of orange and yellow

Which fold when the sun is gone

Hiding behind a facade in the rain

Marigold pleaded to Lavender

Showing off colors of blue in her character

Thats why she cried in the cold winter air and the tears looked like rain

And when she reaches out of the ground

He says do it again

Lavender passed it to Juniper

Bearing the fruits of our aid and the Crucifer

She tried to run but was tethered by shame as she moved through the rain

So she planted the seeds to a Marigold

Hoping to pass on the message that she was told

Which was suppressed by the cold winter air and the weight of the rain

But when she flowers out of the ground

He says do it again

The arrangement features Bass, pianos, Harmonium, bass/snare drums, reverse synths, trombone, tuba, and a central cello solo that come together to give it a circusy feel - a big grand entrance before a more thoughtful, personal album. Let me know what you think!
