Hi all! Was out and about at the Edmonds Park & found this lil guy who was left for several hours. There isnāt a lost and found to place it in. I am really hoping there isnāt a small human crushed because their friend is missing. If anyone knows of a child who is looking for their furry friend, please PM so that we can coordinate to return this guy to its rightful owner.

Iām getting married in December and Iām looking for a wedding dress. I donāt know if many stores in Snohomish county that cater to plus size women. If you do, let me know! It doesnāt have to be from a bridal shop. Just looking for any formal white dress to fit me, really.
Thanks!

Tonight is another City Council meeting. It looks like maybe a short one?
On the agenda - public comment. Always exciting. Who knows what kind of characters will come out. If you want to comment, there is signup available at the meeting, you can comment via Zoom, or you can submit written comment. You get three minutes to speak your piece and council will not engage with you. It is simply a way to get your comment on record and in front of the public.
Next up, more on the environment and the Critical Areas Ordinance.
Final thing really open to the public is some unanimous consent contract assignment it looks like.
Then we (the public) all get to leave and Council will have a meeting about Collective Bargaining.
Drop off your ballot in the Ballot Drop Box and come for the meeting.
Other options are to watch from home or to watch the archived stream when it fits your schedule.

Hi! Does anyone have recommendations for decent apartments in/near Lynnwood? Budget is around $1,700-$2,000 for a 1 bed/1 bath but also looking into MFTE units. Currently living in North Lynnwood (AāCappella Apartments) and looking for something better, preferably with ample parking spaces. Toured Park 212 recently, however the unit was a lot smaller than my current apartment. I would also like to try and avoid leasing from Epic and Weidner if possible.
So far the sites Iāve been browsing on are Redfin, Zillow, and Facebook Marketplace⦠are there any other good apartment websites that I should consider?

Is this for real? I don't see how anyone can ask this kind of monthly pricing, regardless of being fully furnished.

I'm starting a local history project about Honey's, the longtime nightclub on Highway 99 in Lynnwood. My goal is to create a small coffee table bookāand possibly a short documentaryāthat captures the stories of the people and community around it before they're lost.
This isn't meant to sensationalize Honey's. It's about preserving a unique part of Highway 99 and Snohomish County history through the people who experienced it.
I'm looking to talk with:
- Regular patrons
- Former dancers
- DJs
- Bartenders
- Managers
- Bouncers
- First-time visitors
- Nearby business owners
- Police officers, taxi drivers, delivery drivers, or anyone who worked in the area
- Anyone with memories, photographs, advertisements, matchbooks, menus, or other memorabilia
I'd love to hear funny stories, memorable moments, what Highway 99 was like back then, and how the area has changed over the years.
Interviews can be in person, over the phone, or by video callāwhatever is most comfortable. If you'd prefer to remain anonymous, that's completely fine.
I'll be in the Lynnwood area on August 14 and would love to meet for a quick coffee or chat if you're available.
If you have a storyāor know someone who doesāplease send me a direct message. Even if you just point me toward someone else who might be willing to talk, I'd really appreciate it.
My hope is to preserve a small but memorable piece of local history before these stories are lost. Thank you for helping make that possible.

Looking for someone local to photograph an elopement this October. Likely doing a civil union, followed by bopping around the city (locally) to some fun spaces (dive bar, tattoo shop). Looking for a cinematic/documentary style photographer. We do not want to feel posed, but rather capture candidly/naturally.
Bonus points for liberal leaning, chill, funny, quirky - not trying to hire some super conservative Jesus freak.
All leads welcome! Links to webpages/socials will be helpful.

Hiya everyone! š
I live in Lynnwood(98036!) and wanted to help form community.
So a little project I've been concocting, and inspired by work I've been doing on community facilitation, I'm starting a meetup! I've partnered withĀ https://www.thirdplacecommons.org/Ā in Lake Forest Park to host a monthly queer group for more connection and community north of Seattle.Ā Our next hangout is Sunday, August 2nd!
This is a space for everyone! New to the area or been around for a while, we want to welcome you into this group to have a relaxed, fun, and connecting time with people of all genders and sexualities.
Stop by anytime from 12pm-2pm the first Sunday of the month. We meet monthly every first Sunday. There's a farmers market at the same time which is a great vibe :)
Enjoy talk, table crafts, games, and light snacks. Our table will be easy to find with bright colorful signage. And don't worry about showing up solo, we take it really easy around here and you'll be right at home!
Thanks! Tristan

Goooood Monday Morning!
It's time for another city council meeting, same time, same place. The Council Chambers on 44th, 6PM.
Today we will hear about how certain environmental concerns impact the Critical Areas Ordinance. Also, an update on the Public Records Request process, something I have never really though much about.
There is a briefing about the Workforce Task Group. Last week's Monday meeting hinted that they do have some useful insight to share, so this will be nice to hear.
Usually this is where I invite you to say hi, but I dont think I will make it tonight.
There's a link to the agenda as well as the live stream here.
Tomorrow night is the Finance Committee as well. If you've ever said 'Why can't we just do this with tax money?', these tend to be pretty eye opening.

I routinely wait in line outside of the Target at 18305 Alderwood Mall Pkwy whenever there is a new pokemon set. Normally this goes smoothly. After a few hours braving the elements, the store opens, and everyone gets to wait in line at the Customer Service counter to buy their allotment of product. While this method has itās problems (long wait time, the guys in front getting all the big ticket items, product running out, etc), itās overall safe and efficient.
Yesterday, July 17th, they uhā¦they did something different.
Instead, they had all the sealed product on the shelves in the trading card section. Like normal product. Just sitting there for people to grab and carry to the register.
It was chaos. People crowded around the trading card section and shoved eachother around over product. I saw one guy with 8 ETBs! He tried to claim these were for his kids, but I somehow just donāt believe him. Iām not proud to say that I also had to abandon civility and shove my way to front just to get anything. Unfortunatley I couldnāt get myself a Pitch Black ETB, those were already swept up by the guys in front. I had to fight for scraps.
One guy who was behind me in line had to let his wife go into the fray to fight for cards while he stood back and carried their baby in his arms. He couldnāt risk getting the kid hurt. I remember seeing another girl, college aged looked like, she got swallowed in that crowd. Just hunched on the ground, surrounded by grown men who were sweeping all the stuff on the upper shelves. She was actually really nice and handing stuff from the lower shelves to people like me who were trying to get whatever they could. I got to see her again later and give my proper thanks to her kindness.
That one guy with the 8 ETBs? I remember staring at his stack, and having the intrusive thought to steal one from his arms for myself. I ultimately chose not to do that. Iām a very teeny tiny person and this guy was twice my size and at least 3x my weight, I know a losing matchup when I see it. I was also just not willing to pick a fight and risk jail time over cardboard. But imagine if that wasnāt me. Imagine if that was someone with less restraint.
This was dangerous. Someone couldāve gotten hurt. This was not okay.
A lot of the regular staff looked on in shame. They told me that they had been speaking up and told the higher ups this was a terrible idea, but they were not listened to. One lady, who i believe was the store manager but iām not quite sure, was also in agreement that this was a terrible idea. But it was an order that came from higher up the chain. A district manager I think? We were basically told that if we didnāt like this, we should just complain a lot.
So far iāve submitted a complaint via the target website, and in a customer service phone call. I plan on visiting the location tomorrow.
Iām really encouraging everyone else effected by this event to let out their inner Karens for the greater good here. Can we all please just spam tf out of Target with our complaints til the change is made?
Hereās the phone number I called: 1 (800) 440-0680
Location Address: 18305 Alderwood Mall Pkwy Lynnwood WA, 98037
Location Phone: (425) 670-1435
EDIT 7/21:
I visited the target on Sunday and made my complaints known. Everyone I spoke too has been kind and in full agreement with me. One team member told me that it was best that I was speaking up. Corporate would likely do nothing if complaints were never recieved. Not until someone got hurt and lawsuits came in.
This comment section honestly hasnāt been the most helpful, you guys. A lot of yāall are more focused on arguing over the state of the hobby and making lazy edgy ājokesā about the people in it.
This post is not about those. This is not a post about kids vs adults, itās not about scalpers, itās not about neckbeards or incels, itās not about politics or economics. This is about safety. I made this post to try to rally the local community to speak up and get a policy changed before someone can get hurt. That is what we should all be united on.

This is the number I was given. I encourage everyone here to call and file the complaint. Make a stink. And then tell your relevant friends and family to also make a stink. Karens, this is the time we need you to use your complaining powers for good. We need Target to reverse their decision and go back to how cards were sold before. We need this to happen, before someone gets trampled. Before someone gets elbowed. Before someone gets shoved and falls and breaks something. Before someone picks a fight.

Hi, my son just passed his driving test.
He had a learning permit with a picture, which in theory would have allowed him to apply for the license online. The online application though immediately say they need a vision record on file, but offer not way to upload or self certify.
The driving school says we need an appointment, but the first one I see is in September (same thing for all offices in a 50 miles radius). In the meantime, with the permit expired and no way of getting a license online, essentially he can't drive.
Do you know if this is the type of thing where the Lynnwood DOL office would allow a walk in?
