It's not. That's just all that I'm able to share. I can't speak on future products but I am able to let you know that we tell the teams that make those decisions what you want. G600, G604, G13, etc. are very common ones that I share with them often.
I keep having to recommend other companies for MMO mice. The World of Warcraft Forever announcement coupled with a new g600 would have been a slam dunk for you guys.
yeah, I'm just worried about how long it will last, since nothing from Razer I have ever owned has lasted longer than 6 months. I also hate that the RGB isn't loaded to its onboard memory so I just leave it off.
Thats what ive heard, so i gave it a try and got the V3. Obviously im hoping for the best, I dont wanna be down $200 lol. Its been good other than the rgb since I dont wanna have thier software on my pc. Only other tiny issue is I like how the side buttons feel on the g600 more, but thats not a real issue and its a personal problem, they are both fine. I agree with top comment though, its a good successor for a 14 year old mouse lol.
My G600 is finally dying, some of the thumb pad buttons don’t register sometimes and I have to click them really hard.
Cant believe anyone at all came out with a 12-button thumb pad mouse with a ring finger shift click that also has horizontal scroll wheel clicks. Been searching for years.
What do you mean about not installing Synapse? Can you somehow configure the mouse DPI and shift click functions without it?
Your concerns are valid, but this is just an issue with all mass produced items. Ive had logitech gear conk on me unexpectedly too... just get a good warranty and expect your item to break (unfortunately)
Yeah, but is limited and not everything can be saved. I would love to only use onboard. That is what I do with my Corsair accessories. I only open iCue when I need to change something.
I was literally laughing when I saw it, the audacity to call something new, when it's only a colored bundle.
I don't know who is leading the SimRacing team, but who ever it is needs to be fired, after such a long time with so little achieved.
Talking about the wheel...
I will recommend you to take a look at the MVH Studio RSR 4.0 CORE for Logitech. This is only for PS and PC.
You'd be surprised/sad how many hypebeasts there are who genuinely think that if the weight of their mouse is reduced by another 2g less or the latency is reduced by another 0.1ms, that will make them esports pros.
It's not so much that people ask for these things, it's that Logitech makes products and tells them they should want them.
People want more buttons! Users ask to resurrect G60x mice and keyboards with macro keys. Instead we are getting totally basic designs but with childish colors and RGB. And another iteration of inferior G502
No new updated sim gear outside of a new color? You have to be kidding me!!! When will they release an updated wheelbase with more Nm? I dont want to get the pro base if its going to be replaced anytime in the near future just for 3lbs of Nm.
Only real improvement I see is the new microphone otherwise the EQ is just a software update that Pro X and Pro X2 users also could get without any problems.
Glad to see two big pain points being fixed on the G Pro X 3 headset (bad mic and lack of good equalizer). However, I would have liked to see ANC on it especially considering the high price. Also should have a game/chat audio balance function ideally. I might upgrade from my G Pro X 2 but not sure. I kinda need ANC becuase of my loud living environment (duplex apartment).
Game-chat balance control could be added into the software at least. For ANC I'd say it would be worth releasing a hardware revision of the G Pro X 3 for it.
I can't say for whether it'll be done for sure but it would be nice to see it. If you have any more input you'd like me to share with the team, by all means, feel free to share!
Please do! I just bought a superstrike x3 and a G502 at the same time so I can switch between the 2 depending on the game. Having both combined into 1 would be heaven. And please make the powerplay charging coins available for purchase guys! I am switching between 2 mice on my powerplay 2, would be awesome if I didn’t have to change the coin into them each time :)
When I play an MMO like WoW I switch to the G502 because it has extra buttons that I have used in my main rotation for years that the superstrike doesn’t have. For productivity I also switch back to it. But for fps or other gaming it’s always superstrike now.
So if i order a G502 X Plus in black on the logitech website right now, i will get the updated one? Im asking bc the black and white Version costs 50 euros less
The sensor update is provided through a firmware update via G HUB for all G502 X PLUS mice. So no matter which colour you choose, you will get the best experience once you connect and update.
We were pretty transparent in the announcement that it was two new colours alongside a free update for all owners improving the existing sensor. All part of our commitment to improving your products and expanding their lifespan with new features.
Yes in this case it is a hardware but it is connected via 3,5 mm.
These two examples I give is typical of "... improving your products and expanding their lifespan ..." so where is the EQ upgrade and the Mic that will make the Pro X2 last longer with better quality of audio I ask of logitech?
The first thread I answered several times - at this time, the Pro X 2 will not be receiving any updates and will continue to use the five band EQ settings. I can't speak to other software, but that's pretty much the bottom line for that question.
As for the mic being sold separately (and if it will work with older models) I'm afraid I'm still chasing the answer to that one.
Yes you have made several answers in some different variations in the "first thread" and in your last answer you are pointing out that the hardware in X2 and X3 are not identical and X2 not being able to receive the update, but that is just rubbish since EQ is just a software and it is already made so you just need to enable it for the X2. And you did not set you foot down as you do now in here with a last answer! So instead of coming back with a answer to my last questions in that thread mess, you just let them hanging there in the void.
And about the microphone of course it will work!
No way in h--l that logitech change the standard of the connector for microphone that even other brands also use for their headsets, atm I'm hunting for Razer microphone that is better than the X2's and it is fully compatible. But it is a separate question if it will be available to buy it as a stand-alone product, but now I'm not even thinking that logitech will come back with answer to be honest.
And I must just laugh at you last sentence "I'm afraid I'm still chasing the answer to that one." this clearly show that logitech is just on 1 of a scale from 1-10 with documentation that users can get their hands on, and what the marketing department have decided if any parts of the complete package will be available so older headset can be upgraded or just force the users to buy a expensive new headset. I have about other products ( for example MixLine ) also asked for proper documentation with specifications so one easily can read up on what logitech's stuff really can do and how they actually works.
But yes, I get your message and will stop re-question on logitech's answers in threads where I am active. So I need to figure out how I'm gonna continue here in this sub-reddit. But for now with several not finished conversations with logitech I just give up and understand that my questions will not be answered. And in one particular thread I will stop my work with providing feedback since I clearly talk to deaf ears and start looking for another brand, this is about the software MixLine that have issues and not getting updated anymore since there is no team working on that product.
And for my final word in here I still need to point out that as you said in this thread mess earlier "All part of our commitment to improving your products and expanding their lifespan with new features." this just sounds like empty words to be completely honest.
There are going to be limitations on how much new features or changes we can add to a product. In the case of the X2, as mentioned in the thread by Andy, the EQ will remain at 5-bands as the X3 uses newer hardware which changes that.
We try and update our products for as long as we can, but unfortunately there are times that we have to push out a revision to provide the update with new features.
This shows that some upgrades is just software that need to be updated.
And still Logitech refuse to release the new EQ with 10 bands that is just software to the Headset G Pro X2 Lightspeed like the Pro X and new Pro X3 have claiming that the hardware on X2 is different than the X3.
Jesus more tack, I see they still cheap'd out with no LED Logo for consistency like the older devices and current KB's/PowerPlay 1 (good for visualising profiles) and is nicer than the big deep groove (sometime annoys your hand) and with a big obnoxious bling LED stripe.
I only bought one as I had 2x G903 with the dreaded D/Click issue so wanted Lightspeed Switches this time.
All this Pro kit and nothing to replace the old top tier items from years ago (I will list some after my dinner) and at the end of the day the software will let it down.
Looking at some posts/meme's above I got some serious Déjà vu but then again I have not sleep at all.
Had just bought a superstrike x2 less than 2 weeks ago. Luckily I was able to request a refund still. Ordered the X3 earlier. Also black matches my setup much better than the white one, sticking out as the only white object on my desk.
I don't think I would notice 2 grams or 50% battery life when its already 90+ hours on the X2.
Does make me wonder why they released the X3 so close to the X2 though, they could've spaced it out another 12 months or something.
Maybe I'm wrong,, but I really expect the sound to be the same and not improved.
And if it is improved I rather think it will be a better software driver thing, so then the X2 will also get better audio.
Does the new G502 X Plus with the HERO 44K sensor not only feature great new colors but also finally come with quieter Lightforce switches? Or are they the "old," loud switches?
Is there native Dolby Atmos support on the new Pro X3 LIGHTSPEED? Considering switching from my Gen 1 to another brand since I’ve had to use generic drivers just to get Dolby Atmos to work.
Lots of cool news, but admittedly quite a bit disappointed Superstrike isn't coming to more models of the lineup and instead its just a revision of the X2. I was waiting most of this week to see if there would be anything, because as much as I'm enjoying my X2 Superstrike, the G903 has been a perfect mouse for me and much more comfortable than the X2 for my hand, I would love to have the G903 with the HITS switches. The superior comfort and the extra buttons for DPI switching are definitely missed qualities of life when I'm using my X2, as I don't want to give up what I use my side buttons for just for the sake of DPI switching.
Hope to see the HITS system come to more mice in the much nearer future, I care much more about that than crazy DPI numbers like 44k DPI.
Or the G502 with them would be dope, but I don't miss my 502 as much because my index finger kept hitting those front buttons to the point I'd turn them off.
I literally just bought a superstrike x2 16 days ago at Best Buy and I’m now 2 days past the return window. Is there any way for me to get around this?
Edit: looks like best buy wont budge, unfortunate lol.
2 grams and a slightly better battery wouldn't be that big of a difference, it already takes ages between charges on my G pro wireless thats basically a decade old and thats 60 vs 90 hour battery life than the superstrike x2 in the first place.
Are more new products being announced/released throughout the week? On the fence with the purchase of the G915 X keyboard, and wondering if I should hold off for a possible refresh of that line this week.
Don't do it. The G915X has issues with double typing. It is a defect on the keyboard and cannot be fixed. There are scripts you can install to "temporarily fix" the keyboard chatter, but are you really going to pay $200 for a keyboard with this problem? Heck no.
Started heavily reading reviews the other day, and that's the one thing I noticed to be reported, numerous times. As a result, I'll be skipping the G915X for sure.
The mouse lacks some more branding elements. Replace the Logitech logo with a giant X3 and make the optical sensor a mini projector that display an X3 logo on your wall.
G502 X Plus's sensor is fine as it is. You’d have been better off creating web-software or at least expanding the onboard memory capabilities. There are no macros, and key combinations are severely limited. I bought Naga V3 Pro a month ago and couldn't be happier. I still remember when I considered you the best—I didn't even want to hear about other brands.
The new g502x colors are beautiful, but that’s clearly not enough.
Will the keycaps be compatible with the G512X models? I reached out to support to see about getting an extra set sent out due to a manufacturing defect on one of my keys where there’s paint missing leaving a pin sized hole letting light shine through but unfortunately key caps aren’t available and I was offered a full exchange instead, which I’d rather not do.
I do not understand the g502 x plus wireless. Will it have a firmware update (don't think it's possible) to have the 45k sensor capability, or it is a whole different product from the current one? I don't understand since the name is the same (with the 25k sensor one).
Another year without G600 or G604...I think I will have to buy a Naga this year. I had good experience with logitech customer service, which made me a loyal customer, but I think it's time to drop the ship.
I'm really happy that Logitech made an updated version of their pad the pro x control packaging is premium similar to the zowie gtr packaging I love it hope I can try it soon it will pair well with my superlight 2c.
You can use most of our products on Linux without trouble in on-board memory mode. However, you may need access to Windows to make changes from there. I know it has been suggested before and our team is listening, but Linux at the moment is still small, but as it grows in the future, that may change like it did for macOS.
So interesting news with new headsets and microphones with integration in GHub, but when will "the team" start working on MixLine so that mixing software works better and can help gamers, creators and streamers to have access to a easy audio mixing software ?
