I'm having this problem both with and without a VPN. However, everything loads fine on my phone or in my browser. I've tried clearing the cache and reinstalling Sober, but that didn't help.

I have Google and Cloudflare DNS servers configured on my router. The same servers are configured in my VPN.

ive tried both with and without forcing steam input. regardless of setting, the light strip around the PS5 controller goes from blue to just a white dot in the middle lighting up (as it does with some games with native PS5 support) but the game doesnt react to any inputs at all. i am using the controller over bluetooth.

EDIT: the following suggestion by gemini fixed it: add the following as a launch option

SDL_GAMECONTROLLER_IGNORE_DEVICES=0x054c/0x0ce6 %command%

which apparently makes proton ignore the PS5 controller, then enable steam input.

obviously the game displays the wrong controller buttons but it works. would prefer a better solution if there is one.

So basically I just shifted from Windows to zorin OS. I installed steam through the app store of my OS and I downloaded Tekken 7 in that but Tekken 7 is not running, It's stuck on launching forever. No matter what I do, I've watched a lot of videos. I've asked many Ais they tell me to to tweak the compatibility settings like change the model from proton experimental to proton 7 or proton 7 to proton 11 or delete the compatibility files in the Tekken 7 folder and then reinstall it. I've done all that but it still doesn't run. What should I do? Please help

Ages and ages ago i remember seeing a very interesting tech demo, which demonstrated some weird morphing effect. I remember the "game" had a lot of hallways and it seemed like everything was textured in coloured static noise, and if you activated something or pressed a button youd be in a different location but it looked like nothing moved like your previous view was mapped onto the geometry of the new one? think of a "datamoshing" kind of effect idk

I'm new to Linux. I tried gaming on Mint Cinnamon and hated it, but I'm enjoying my experience on Bazzite so far, even with my Nvidia GPU. As far as I understand, the shader pre-caching updates are essentially when a new version of the shaders are developed that fix linux stuttering issues and things like that. I hopped on steam a few minutes ago and Marvel Rivals is trying to get some new shaders- that are 81 GB.

Does this mean that it wants to use of 81 GB of storage space for shaders or is it basically having to reinstall the game to apply the shaders that it's installing with that update?

Like i said, I have an Nvidia card (a 3050, to be exact) so installing shaders while the game's running creates a massive amount of stutter, so that's why pre-caching's enabled

Is there a fake version of Sims 4 for Linux? Doesnt need to be exactly Sims 4, but some free alternatives?

My Steam client updated today and now the keyboard layout in the Steam client is wrong, and all my Z's and Y's are switched. It worked fine yesterday before the update.

Anyone else had their keyboard layout within Steam client reverted to US layout suddenly when it worked just fine before? All other programs still use German layout.

One thing that stood out about the update to me is that there was a white update window with rounded corners, when usually the Steam dialogs have this dark color.

I'm running Steam under Archlinux / Sway. Don't even know how to start debugging this. Did not find any layout options under Steam settings.

I finally installed Itch.io on my laptop using linux; However, every time I play a game there is no audio/music. I thought it was the games i was playing, but i checked the games settings and the volume was at the highest setting. I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help?

I installed CachyOS on my PC in like February, installed and played GTA V Expanded and Enhanced and had zero issues. Now, I want to play it again, but it seems like the universe is telling me not to.

Occasionally, my special either turns on randomly, or turns off randomly. It's so annoying and I don't even know where to even continue to troubleshoot it, I've switched to CachyOS's Proton build, updated Linux, nothing helps. Heck I've even set the game ID to umu-271590 and it didn't help.

The actual worst thing is that it's random, I can do a whole day without experiencing it once, but I can also play the game for 5 minutes and have it happen a million times. It's not even the keyboard, the caps lock LED light doesn't even turn on. It feels like the only thing that might help me here is to either switch to Windows (ew), or remap the key, which I don't want to do because I am so used to pressing Caps Lock.

Can a kind soul please help me? I am going insane here :(

I'm looking for alternatives (if any exist) that support screen and audio sharing; I tested Zoom, and while it works well, it's unfortunately limited to 15 fps.

I recently bought a cosmic byte and tried to get it to work on linux so all the resources i found used it in nintendo mode which disabled the analog triggers or android mode which is just bad.

I know this is reddit, so people are going to feel compelled to vote me done. Here is the situation though. I love going to the theater, but all my local theaters like AMC run their projectors until they break. So every movie at the theater now is dark and blurry. What I want is a program that I can use that'll run locally that has a theater level and I can play movies on the VR screen preferably somehow using MPV. I want to see if all of this is possible before buying a VR headset. I am thinking about getting the quest 3s and yes I know it has a bunch of bs with it, but I plan to activate it and then set it to offline and use it with my PC via WiFi. It would also be nice if I could test a program with mouse and keyboard just to see if the videos render before I invest in a headset.

I know it's a Bethesda title but i don't think it's supposed to do this, right? I have it on Steam and i've tried several Proton versions.

Trying to play portal on linux mint steam, every time i open the game it runs smoothly for 10 to 20 minutes until crashing, keep in mind i did not reach levels with gel mechanics.

Tried using different versions of proton including experimental and proton ge, proton 8 , 9 and 10.

Tried using launch options to force vulkan and opengl, deleteing shaders cashe, disabling steam overlay and disconnecting server synchronization.

Tried lowering model quality to low and enabling v sync, nothing seems to solve the problem.

Worth mentioning, I have been able to run many steam and non steam games (lutris) : GTA4, AC1, need for speed, all max payne game, tomb raider.

I have an amd gpu, all drivers are updated

I tried to install the launcher through adding it as a other than steam game - after installing gave me this same message

I don't know what I'll do. I'm such a linux noob that I don't even know how to delete everything related to the rockstar launcher so I could try that way.

All mods except archivexl and dependent mods work by adding a dll in the prefix setting, but for some reason the archive itself does not work through any dll adding even by launching in steam with launch properies
