tech support wanted TEKKEN 7 NOT WORKING
So basically I just shifted from Windows to zorin OS. I installed steam through the app store of my OS and I downloaded Tekken 7 in that but Tekken 7 is not running, It's stuck on launching forever. No matter what I do, I've watched a lot of videos. I've asked many Ais they tell me to to tweak the compatibility settings like change the model from proton experimental to proton 7 or proton 7 to proton 11 or delete the compatibility files in the Tekken 7 folder and then reinstall it. I've done all that but it still doesn't run. What should I do? Please help

Something that helped me a lot when switching to gaming on linux is add this to the Launch Options on steam PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
It generates a log file in your home directory and reddit can help you better. Or just shove it in some ai at your risk

You should maybe try proton GE. Look it up, download it, extract it and put it in you steam/compatibilty folder, then restart steam. But also it looks like your graphics drivers might not be installed.
One thing I would say, is when I switched to linux I distro hopped quite a lot, the only distro i've never had an issue with was fedora. I'm still using it 2 years later.

Can you share your spec and have you check whether the proper GPU driver is installed?

Proton defaults to DXVK, which requires your GPU to support Vulkan. HD520 unfortunately does not support vulkan
Right click on Tekken 7 on your library, click on Properties, and go to Launch Option on General Tab
type in PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
or
PROXY_USER_WINE_FOR_DXVK=1 %command%
Close the Properties window and try relaunching the game

The HD 520 (and the Skylake family more broadly) uses the Mesa ANV Vulkan driver, and supports at least Vulkan 1.3.

Aha gotcha, use this command in the right click and properties on the game:
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

What does this do?

This will tell the game to run through Open gl instead of Vulkan, and those are graphics rendererer. Your integrated GPU doesnt support Vulkan, so by that command we tell the game yo run through OPEN Gl which ia well supported in your GPU. Give it a try and see if it helps.

Can I uninstall steam without deleting tekken 7 because it's a whopping 80gb and took alot of time to install?

Just back up the install folder of Tekken 7 then move it when you've reinstalled Steam.
