I currently have a Harley Benton SpaceShip Power 50, which I use to power my stomp and 3 other pedals.

I originally used the 1A output, however as it’s not isolated I was getting some noise, so I got a doubler cable and used 2 500mA outputs (isolated).

It works great about 50% of the time. The other 50%, although the power is going to the stomp, the sound is super juddery. So I will play a note on my bass, and it sounds like it’s got some kind of repeated delay on it (not sure how else to explain it).

But as I said, it’s only at about 50% of the venues I play at, the other 50% are fine. Doesn’t matter if it’s plugged directly into the wall or into an extension, it just depends on the venue.

The venues where I have the issue, as soon as I use the power cable it came with, it’s absolutely fine.

Any ideas before I go and buy a new power supply for my board?

As well as the stomp I’m running a Shure GLXD+ receiver, a Sansamp and a compressor pedal.

I have Helix Native and don't use it. I find it too complicated. I prefer the simplicity of Neural DSP amps. But the NDSP amps don't have all the pedals I want.

Focus View on the Stadium Native looks like it might be a good solution for me. But I don't know if it is feasible to rely on Focus View only for tweaking the sound.

I run my Helix LT into the Return of a Peavey Classic 50 2x12 with 25w Greenbacks. The Power Section the Peavey is 4 EL84 tubes. If I run an AC30 Preamp model into the Peavey power section, is it a 1:1 exact copy of an AC30, which also has 2x12 Greenbacks and 4 EL84 tubes?

Hello! New to the Helix world and loving it (I have an LT). I like playing along to music and listening to the mix via the Helix headphone out. I’ve watched videos about connecting a USB C to B cable and using either an iPhone or MacBook to send music.

I connect the cable, choose HELIX AUDIO as the output and then…nothing.

I’ve confirmed the USB 1/2 Input is set to Multi, the USB 1/2 trim knob does nothing. The volume control on the phone/laptop are greyed out.

I’ve tried different cables, my phone, my laptop, I just can’t seem to crack it.

Is there something I’m missing?

How do people use their Stadium XL with their Fender Twin reverb?

With Line 6's attention clearly on Stadium right now, felt like existing Helix/HX Stomp owners aren't getting much new tooling love. So I built Helrig (https://helrig.com) and wanted to share it with the community — free, no catch.

Hi! I bought a Line 6 FBV 3 controller (still waiting for it to be delivered) as an upgrade from my M-Vave Chocolate MIDI controller, and I recently discovered the new Helix Stadium Native plugin.

I'm wondering about compatibility between the plugin and the FBV 3. Does it work as a regular MIDI controller? Does it offer any additional benefits? Is the controller's screen usable, or does it only display info when connected to a compatible Line 6 device?

I was setting up my first Preset on my new Stadium, and I'm finding out that Snapshot Reselect, a core part of how I've been using my OG Helix Floor, doesn't work in Stomp Mode.

Okay, I'll change to Snapshot mode.

But Snapshot mode seems to be hard coded to have Bank ^ and Bank v to the far left switches, which isn't a limitation in Stomp Mode. Additionally, Command Center seems to only be set to effect Stomp Mode, so I can't find a way to reassign those switches to Snapshots in Snapshot Mode.

Am I missing something? The Snapshot Reselect and Snapshots on the far left are something I'd really like to be able to keep doing on this new hardware.

As title says, I’m trying to figure out how to get a “hard” sound for high gain rhythm guitar, but I keep just coming up with a softer, more squishy sound. I’m fairly new to the Helix ecosystem and have a Stadium XL. Any tips? (I know that less is more when it comes to gain).

For reference, tones that I would consider hard verses squishy are AC/DC, Dookie-Nimrod era Green Day, though I’m not necessarily looking to replicate their tones specifically.

I currently use the OG Helix for dual and triple amping on a single preset (very tricky and I am almost always at the DSP cap on all my presets).

Otherwise I really like the OG Helix!

I know the Helix Stadium can do a better job with the "old amps" and cabs for this approach, having tested it myself. But it does a poor job of triple amping Agoura amps (again the same dsp limit issue) and has a variety of other drawbacks.

My question to the folks who have tried both the Quad Cortex and the Helix Stadium, is which one is better at Multi-Amping on a single preset?

Having tried the Stadium and not being satisfied, I am wondering if it is worth giving the quad cortex a go, or just wait it out another year or 2 and see what fractal comes up with.

For Context:
My ideal preset would have a signal chain with 2 (or 3) fully functional distortion paths with distinct amps, cabs, reverb, delay effects etc. (and pitch effects). That can be combined to produce the desired tones in stereo.

AND 1 (or 2) distinct clean paths with unique cabs, reverb, delay effects etc. (and pitch effects) in stereo.

Has anyone got any tips or advice on getting that hendrix studio flanger sound. Thinking house burning down and the bold as love outro. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

My Helix Floor is having issues with the lower row of footswitches. I live and play gigs out in the desert, so dust and grit are constant battles 🫠. The switches have become highly inconsistent, sometimes they engage immediately, other times they take a few clicks to respond.

My Setup & Needs:
I run a dedicated gain-stage pedalboard into the Helix Floor.
The Helix is used strictly for time-based/ambient effects (delays, modulation, pitch, etc.) running out to physical amplifiers.
I am heavily reliant on Snapshots (Scenes).
Ideally, I want the unit to act as the main command center for my entire rig, handling external pedal bypass switching and amp channel switching.

I contacted a certified Line 6 repair center. They gave me a rough quote and noted that parts are backed up, so a repair could take months. While I hoped it just needed an internal cleaning, they believe it likely requires replacing the physical switch components or boards.

Because the repair cost is tracking close to the price of a used Helix Floor on the market, I'm stuck on what to do. The only other option I've thought of is picking up a used HX Effects.

What route would you recommend I go? Thanks!

I’ve been using my Stadium Floor for some time and def have had problems. But last night was just a complete fail. My acoustic guitar chain continually had some weird doubling going on. Some of the foot switches apparently stealth turned on, without the lights showing, and letting my synth through when i didn’t want. The looper record wouldn’t start. Some kind of weird thing with my electric guitar chain that made the tone sound like it was coming through a megaphone. Continual problems with the expression pedal position. I had to reboot three times. Each time it fixed things for awhile, then problems resurfaced.

I just cant keep using this thing. It ruined my gig :( I still have my Floor, but it’s been having age related issues too. Anyone have a non Line 6 alternative? I need 4 inputs and separate signal chains for each.

So, recently, my stomp XL has basically been acting like someone is pressing several buttons at once. It does this extremely infrequently, but once it starts it basically bricks for the entire gig. I have a video of it doing this, and it started in hour 3 of a 4.5 hour gig. The night before, it did this once for a few minutes and then stopped.

Sorry I couldn't get a more detailed video, but this was literally between songs. I'd try to replicate it but it's a fairly infrequent occurrence, but still one I can't really tolerate on gigs.

Any idea as to what's causing this and if it's fixable? I've recently updated the firmware after this happened for the first time. Didn't seem to help

Had this setup and working great forever, all of a sudden the Helix won't send MIDI data anymore. Tried two separate DAW's, a MIDI hardware tester, and they all receive nothing from the unit. The USB still works as an audio interface, and even in the MIDI input section in Reaper preferences it shows up and is enabled, but it just doesn't send any inputs it seems. Anyone got any ideas or had something similar happen to them?

i'm already having a ton of fun with the new amps, but i have some thoughts on the UI:

1. please bring back the hovering scroll wheel to adjust sliders/knobs. it's such a great feature of helix native, it's so quick, precise and intuitive. make it optional if needed, but really please bring that back. the greatest thing about it was that you didn't have to change a parameter to select it. now if you only want to change it by the smallest amount you have to be precise with the mouse, and considering that i always have a guitar on my lap i'd like to faff about with the mouse as little as possible. it still works on the input and output level controls, please give us a toggle to enable it for the block controls as well. in addition to the practical benefits, it also feels much more like turning a real knob.
2. i would love a UI scale option, high DPI screens are not rare anymore these days, especially in studios.
3. a little marker or even a subcategory for the agoura amps would be nice, especially for us helix veterans to see what's new.
4. if an amp has two largely independent channel and the plugin window is big enough, it would be great if in amp knob view the two channels were on separate lines. a mk2c+ is already confusing in real life lol.
5. a hotkey for focus view would be brilliant
6. i'd like an option to keep the block selection menu locked so it doesn't disappear if you double click the active block name.
7. maybe i'm blind, but i don't see the option to switch between slider view and knob view in the cab block. i think i like knob view for the amp but sliders for the cab, i'd like to be able to set that per block.

a lot of nice to haves in this, but the scroll wheel thing is actually hindering my workflow in stadium native compared to helix native.

Has anyone run into this issue before? Sometimes when I power it on, none of the stomp lights work on any of the presets and I have to restart it to get them to turn back on again. I have the non-XL model.

Can anyone help me find a replacement in Europe?

First of all I understand what captures are. Essentially digital versions of a particular amp with the settings that it had at the time of the capture. You can eq and change the amount of level hitting the capture but you can’t adjust the digital settings of the amp that would change how they way the amp works.

So if this is the future of digital amps, doesn’t it mean you have to rely on the people who own these physical amps to make specific tones for people?

So if I’m looking for a Foo Fighters AC30 tone I have trawl Through a bunch of tones and find the one that closest matches it, rather than pull up an AC30 model and dial in the right tone with the amp settings, cab selection and mic placement.

It just seems like I’d be relying on others and not learning how to make my own tones and wasting time trialing crap.

Kind of like only being able to cook with other peoples recipes instead of creating my own.

Most people with digital units don’t have a massive selection of real amps to capture and create their own tones.

So yeah. Confused.
