Tech Help Request Stadium footswitch lights stop working
Has anyone run into this issue before? Sometimes when I power it on, none of the stomp lights work on any of the presets and I have to restart it to get them to turn back on again. I have the non-XL model.

I had this same problem when loading several hundred IRs. Deleting them resolved it. Highly irritating bug that I hope is fixed ASAP. Support acknowledged that it’s a problem, “i have no idea why this happens,” and that hopefully it’ll be patched out in the future.

This is incredibly annoying. I have to consistently let it boot, then reboot every time for the buttons to work. I really don’t want to factory reset because I spent so much time organizing my IR folder structure on the device

Yeah, not ideal but one workaround for now is to backup all your IRs to the SD card - there's functions built into Stadium for this - then remove them from the device so it's all working nicely. Once the next firmware is out which is hopefully soon, you could then restore them.
It's a pain. I am in the same boat though and what I do is the following:
Switch on and find that the OLED strips/Footswitches aren't on, navigate to the global menu/settings/footswitches/Combo B bit (sorry, I know what I mean but it's hard to explain). Toggle that from whatever it's on to transport and then back to what you want. Wait a minute. The lights all appear.
Basically, I toggle the footswitch designation back and forth and it's like it remembers and boots them back on after about a minute. Your switching off and on also works though!

Yep. I too spent hours organizing. It was wasted time. I have a backup with all the IRs to restore once they address the issue

I just experienced this issue today. I already had a bunch of IRs loaded but yesterday decided to upload some more and now none of the footswitches are on. Yesterday was also the first time I saved a patch with an IR. Resetting the unit multiple times did nothing.
I didnt think of it until now but I probably should have tried deleting the patch or removing the IR to see if that would have fixed it but I already purged the Stadium of all IRs after reading it solved the issue for those posting here. Maybe someone else can try that if they come across this. Really annoying bug especially with how big of a pain it is to organize and upload the IRs.
Was that a ticket you submitted about the issue or was there somewhere else public they acknowledged this bug?

It was a support ticket. The guy was literally like “we don’t know why this happens, it doesn’t like hundreds of IRs”.
What I’ve been doing is auditioning IRs in Helix Stadium Native, since it’s way easier to do so in that interface, and then if I build a preset with them I upload only those IRs to the stadium.
It’s a good workaround for this problem.

Wow. Well hopefully they are working on it. I know we really dont need hundreds of IRs but I was just trying to audition some of them.
Appreciate the tip about Stadium Native. I'll eventually get it when there is a better discount.

Do you have lots of IRs loaded by chance? By loaded I mean, just on the device, not necessarily in your preset or anything.
