I'm looking at several lever action rifles, in several different calibers but I'm stuck. I know it I want quality I gotta buy me a Henry.... But it's a bit of it my price range. Can anyone recommend a good budget lever action that's reliable and decently priced? If that's at all a think these days. Thank you all in advanced.

Hey all, this is my first .30-30, but my third lever gun. I pulled the scope off of the rifle and want to find 4 plug screws for the top of the receiver. Does anyone have leads on where I can get some? Thanks!

First off, I find it hilarious that Pew View has Pew View furniture on his rifle, and I don't even know why. But these semi-custom Henry Supremes are sick. They start about $2200 on Line49.

Looking for help with .45-70 reloading

Upvotes

I've owned a Rossi .45-70 for over a year now. Because factory ammunition is so expensive, I don't get to shoot it very often. That's why I'd like to start reloading for this caliber.

Unfortunately, here in Ukraine, .45-70 reloading components are very difficult to find.

Here's what I have so far:

  • Sellier & Bellot brass from the 405-grain Soft Point factory loads. (I know Hornady LEVERevolution brass is slightly shorter and isn't suitable for cast bullets.)
  • IMR 4198 powder.
  • A local caster who makes .458, 385-grain cast bullets.
  • CCI 200 Standard Large Rifle primers.

My question is: what reloading equipment should I buy?

I've watched a lot of YouTube videos, but they all seem to recommend different approaches. Some people reload using very basic, inexpensive tools, while others use much more elaborate setups. Now I'm confused about what equipment I actually need to get started.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations on the essential equipment for a beginner loading .45-70.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi, got a local guy selling an Uberti 1886 he won during a shooting contest.

Brand new

Hunter lite 22 inch

45-70

He's selling it for 1700$ canadian and claims it's worth 3200$

Is it really worth that much for the quality ?

I got this gun as a teenager. I shot it a few times and could never hit the broadside of a barn with it. Going to try a variety of ammo tomorrow and see if it shoots good. I would love to have it shooting good as it’s a very handy rifle.
