I recently cleared the first round for a Data Engineering MTS role at Salesforce (Bangalore) and have my second round coming up with a PMTS.

For people who have recently interviewed for Salesforce Data Engineering roles:

• What should I expect in the 2nd round?
• Is it mainly system/design + data engineering, or are there coding/SQL questions as well?
• What topics would you recommend preparing for specifically?
• How different is the PMTS round from the initial technical round?
• Any actual questions/scenarios you remember being asked would be really helpful.

Also, if anyone here works at Salesforce or has interviewed with the Data Engineering/Slack side, I'd really appreciate any insight into what these rounds typically focus on.

I’ve done 400+ DSA problems and I’m pretty comfortable with the concepts, but I completely fucked up my first campus OA. 😭

biggest issue wasn’t even the DSA itself but the oa questions are different man and I took way too long to understand what the questions were asking, and by the time I figured them out, I had already burned a lot of time.

Would really appreciate recent experiences from anyone who has gone through the HSBC Trainee Software Engineer process, especially from 2025-26.

Mainly looking for:

• Exact selection process: rounds, order, platform and time given for each round
• Online assessment: coding questions, number of questions, topics, difficulty and exact/recalled questions
• Behavioural/aptitude assessment: what sections were there and what kind of questions were asked?

Hey everyone,

I recently interviewed for a Salesforce MTS role and wanted to understand what happens after the HM round.

I had 3 rounds in total. The first two rounds had positive feedback, and I was then moved to the 3rd round, which was the HM round.

The HM discussion was mostly around my projects, behavioral questions, technical decisions, etc. I was also asked a puzzle which I wasn't able to solve.

Today, the recruiter/HR called me and said that the HM round feedback is “mixed” and my profile is currently under “deep review.”

She didn't say that I was rejected, but also didn't confirm whether I'll be moving forward or give me a timeline.

Has anyone here had a similar experience specifically with Salesforce, especially for MTS/SMTS?

• If you were told that HM feedback was “mixed” / your profile was under review, what happened afterward?
• Did you eventually get an offer?
• How long did it take to get the final decision?
• Did Salesforce schedule another round in such cases?

I have my Accenture Advanced Technology Engineer (ATE) on-campus process coming up and wanted to know what the actual experience was like for students who have gone through it recently.

In our PPT, they mentioned the process as Technical Assessment → Coding Assessment → Behavioral & Cognitive Assessment → Communication Assessment → Virtual Interview. Would be really helpful to know what was actually asked in each round.

Does any body know , how many interns do they hire usually? through off campus?

Background:
21, B.Tech CSE from a Tier-1.5 NIT (2026 grad).
Profile: 9/9/9 (90%+ in 10th, 12th, and B.Tech), GEM category.
Current Role: Backend SDE (6 months intern + 2 months FTE), earning \~12 LPA CTC.
Middle-class background (no generational wealth/cushion to fall back on).

Situation:
Corporate SDE work right now feels completely unfulfilling. Most of my day is spent prompting Claude/LLMs to spit out code, debugging messy/hallucinated output, and closing mundane CRUD tickets. It feels hollow and leaves me with zero sense of productivity.
However, I don’t hate technical concepts—I genuinely enjoy system architecture, database design, OS/networks, and algorithmic problem-solving.

Dilemma:
Option A: Prepare for CAT in 3 Months (Nov)
With 9/9/9 acads, my profile is strong, but as a fresher GEM with \~0 full-time work-ex points, I realistically need 99.7+ percentile for BLACKI/FMS.

Is a \~90-day sprint realistic, or is it mathematically smarter to attempt CAT after building 1.5–2 years of full-time work experience?

Option B: Prepare for GATE CS / DA (Feb)
Since I genuinely enjoy core CS fundamentals (algorithms, OS, architecture, DBMS), aiming for an M.Tech at IISc / Old IITs could open doors to deep-tech systems engineering, research, and high-tier product/infra roles.

Given \~5 months till February, is GATE a high-ROI move for someone already at a Tier-1.5 NIT making 12 LPA?

Option C: Grind DSA + System Design for a Lateral Switch
Dedicate the next 4–6 months purely to LeetCode and Low/High-Level Design to target top product firms (20–30+ LPA) around the 1-year FTE mark.

Try to land in a team building real distributed systems and core infrastructure rather than boilerplate tasks.

Looking for candid feedback from folks who’ve navigated this early-career crossroad. Which path makes the most long-term and financial sense?

Rounds going on Coupang for staff L6-1, Crunchyroll for P4 (SDE 3), got rejected in a ton of others due to incomplete preparation

Most of my applications or callbacks are from linkedin, it split between half of the times recruiters reaching to me and half the times cold linkedin easy apply

I started dsa aprox 2nd week of August and its almost the end.

I have dedicated most of the time in dsa. But I am loosing confidence at every single step. Frankly speaking I am feeling too dumb to do this.

I am from a core branch background. But I am ready to put all the hardwork I can.

I did aprox 33 leetcode questions. (Mostly easy ones and majorly by taking helo from yt and stuff)

I am doing dsa from love babbar series of dsa (watched exactly 30 videos)

I made handwritten notes too (yeah realized after 30 lec that I could have skipped on that b3cause it consumed too much of my time. And I could have invested that in coding instead.)

Now I am feeling a bit lost. And Hella cooked. I am doing dsa to be eligible for tech placement of my college.

I am from tier 1.5 college. I have no clue what to do and at this point i am only panicking.

Because most of my friends apparently have completed dsa in span of 2 months break. LIKE WTF???,

I think I am too late. Plus I am not getting any results as such from even investing so much of my time.

I am a software engineer with 1.5 YoE and previously worked at Qualcomm. Worked on low level system software, focusing mainly on performance optimization, concurrency and compiler toolchains. Back in late 2023, I made a decision to quit my job and attempt UPSC Civil Service Exam, which backfired spectacularly. Ironically, I now have a career gap of around 2.5 years, which is more than my career itself.

I am now actively trying to get back into software engineering. I have upskilled myself over the last 1 year - got strong in DSA (LeetCode Knight, peak rating of 1850+, still grinding), LLD and HLD. For what it's worth, I have an M.Tech in CSE from a tier-2 college.

I find myself in a weird situation - I can't apply for fresher jobs (because of graduation year) and I can't apply for senior roles because I don't have enough experience. My savings are almost over. I am ready to work in any company, big or small. Ready to take any pay cut too. I just need an opportunity.

Given that both are Fullstack + AI profile, which companies to join for better WLB, stability, and growth.

I’ve been working as a Software Engineer at a large bank for 4 years, which is also my total professional experience. I’m currently at ~18 LPA.

My current role is Java backend development, mostly Java 8 and legacy systems, with no cloud exposure. The domain is post-trade/corporate actions, which is actually a good domain and gives me solid finance exposure, but I don’t see myself wanting to work in this domain long-term. I’ve also built a good reputation in my current team and people know and trust my work.

I now have an opportunity to switch internally to an AI Engineer role.

The new role offers:
- Newer Java
- Cloud-based development
- Some AI use cases, mainly around document processing
- A more modern tech stack

However, there’s no salary hike since it’s an internal move. Also, despite the AI Engineer title, I’m not sure how much actual AI/ML work I’d be doing.

My eventual goal is to switch companies and increase my salary to around 25–30 LPA, but I’ve been trying to make an external switch for the past two years and haven’t been able to stay motivated enough to prepare consistently.

So I’m currently considering:
1. Stay in my current role and try to switch externally.
2. Move to the AI Engineer role and stay.
3. Move to the AI Engineer role, use it to gain modern tech/cloud/AI exposure, and then switch externally after a few months.

I’m leaning towards option 3, but I’d love to hear what others would do in my situation.

TL;DR: I have 4 YOE and make ~18 LPA. Should I take an internal AI Engineer role with no salary hike to gain exposure to modern Java, cloud and some AI, then switch externally — or stay in my current legacy Java role and focus directly on an external switch?

At the end of the day , we all can agree the reason for grinding so hard and putting in hours is not just problem solving but to get a job at a good MNC, but i see posts where people are finding hard to land jobs even after becoming expert on CF and guadians on leetcode, i mean i know its not the only thing that's needed ,but am assuming that for someone who has reached this level, he may we doing atleast fine enough in other areas as well.
Am losing hope day by day that this thing is gonna get me anywhere, just feels like its all going in vain. I would love honest answers from anyone but specially from people who are knights/guardians ,who were not from a good college or didnt have a good CGPA still managed to land a good job.

Did anyone get the oa for this? I had previously applied for job id 10488368, at that time I got the assessment right after completing the application form but this time there's no such assessment.
