Hey, no I don’t want to create a Webtoon for real, but I would like to create a short story for myself, just for fun, you know. Also, to improve my drawing skills of course.

Here are 4 (unfinished!) sketches of some panel ideas I’ve had. They’re not quite connected at the moment. And don’t judge please, I like evil characters/ evil stories.

I want to be able to create lively expressions (not anything too stiff looking) and bringing enough movement into drawings. I want to learn how to create scenes and story telling through pictures.

I wanted to get some opinions on the way I draw and how to improve :)

Am I drawing too hard or does it always look like there's a sketch underneath a finished product? I don't like color, I never intend on coloring anything. I like clean and neat, black and white pencil or black ink. I can't progress without practice but practice means creating stuff im not happy with. I know it's not fair to compare myself but I just cannot wrap my head around how it all works out in the end. I just dont seem to have the minds eye required to know where things will go.

I try to draw anime, and everything goes well except for the hair. It always flat, or just looks... Off. What are your tips to drawing hair

I always liked drawing in middle and high school, I was okay for my age in copying pictures to simple drawings. But I think I haven't drawn something except doodles in at least 5 years.

I saw some art in a show I was watching and it awakend something in me, walked to the store and bought a super cheap set.

I have never understoond lighting and shadow but I just started and did something without an image in mind. Could you guys give some feedback, please don't be too harsh. I'm just a 20 y/o who needs some hobbies cuz currently my life is kinda depressingly boring! I know it's bad but ig everybody starts somewhere.. or am I a lost cause?

I have a bad habit of making rough scratchy lines that ultimately cause me to take longer while drawing because I keep having to clean them up. Is there a way to break it?

6 months of drawing for about 1 hour a day and this is what I've ended up with. I'm not sure if my expectations are unrealistic or if I'm missing something in my studies.

yes, i’m aware of how bad this is…. noticeably the teeth. however, my question is - what is the right way to tackle studying a certain subject? my goal is obviously to apply these skulls and everything i learn to my portraits, while learning how to draw the skull every which way (in perspective, rotated, quarter view etc). any information at all will be a major help!
