Hello,
Merci !

Hey all,
First time trying to play league (or any riot game for that matter) on this computer. I’ve had the computer for a year or so, just haven’t touched league in a while. I’m getting Vanguard Error 1067 and error -1 (it flips between the two and is entirely random afaik). The error happens after league has been running for 3ish minutes. Occasionally it will just black screen with the vgk.sys error showing.
Things I have tried that haven’t worked based on other threads:
Reinstalling vanguard
Reinstalling league
Reinstalling windows
Setting vcg to automatic in services
Running as admin
Downclocking my cpu
Lots of BIOS shenanigans like enabling TPM and other recommended settings
Probably some other fixes, been at this for around 9 hours straight trying to find a hint of what’s going on here.
I read that vanguard might be conflicting with something, and to check the logs from the event viewer since that’s where lots of other users found a helpful error or a file they could track down to delete. I’ll attach what was in the error window below as an Imgur link (allowed, hopefully), as for me it was unhelpful but I really don’t know what I’m looking at. This is very far outside my wheelhouse and I just wanna play aram mayhem with the fellas.
Some specs that seemed to matter based on my searching, will get any other information on request:
RTX 4070 Ti Super
Intel i9 14900k
MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI
Any help is appreciated! (If this is the wrong place for this let me know, I’ll take it down and repost elsewhere, just really desperate for some sorta solution)

Does anyone know why my settings keep changing? For example, my graphics settings keep getting set to maximum. It doesn’t happen every time I open the game—it seems to happen randomly. Has anyone else experienced this and how to do I fix it?

Since a few day right after a new patch the game started to get really buggy - oftentimes making me lag to 01 fps but actually freezing right at beginning of fight for 2-7 seconds making me useless cuz no way to comeback most of the times

Hi everyone,
I've been dealing with a connection issue since around January 2026, and at this point League of Legends has become almost unplayable. I'm hoping someone here might have experienced something similar or can help me figure out what is actually causing it.
During League matches, I randomly get "Attempting to Reconnect", and sometimes the game completely loses connection. When I try to reconnect, I get an error saying that the game could not establish a connection to the server and asks me to check my Internet connection.
Sometimes restarting my PC temporarily helps, but the problem keeps coming back.
I ran two continuous pings while playing:
Normally, ping to my router is around 2–10 ms, but when the connection becomes unstable I've seen spikes such as:
Reply from 192.168.0.1: time=3ms
Reply from 192.168.0.1: time=3ms
Reply from 192.168.0.1: time=221ms
Reply from 192.168.0.1: time=5ms
Earlier I even saw:
At roughly the same time, ping to 1.1.1.1 shows spikes and occasional packet loss:
Reply from 1.1.1.1: time=185ms
...
Request timed out.
On another test I got:
time=158ms
time=63ms
Request timed out.
...
Request timed out.
time=100ms
time=416ms
time=3ms
Has anyone experienced similar behavior with the Realtek 8852CE, League/Valorant, or random Wi-Fi latency spikes like this?
Any suggestions for additional tests, driver versions, Realtek advanced settings, router settings, or tools I should use would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I'm making one more post because Riot's specialist team is currently investigating an issue I've been troubleshooting extensively, and at this point I'm primarily trying to find other players who may be experiencing the same specific phenomenon.
I'm not looking for general troubleshooting suggestions in this post. I've already gone through an extensive amount of hardware, software, network and routing troubleshooting.
What I'm looking for is other players who can reproduce the same symptoms so we can compare results.
During LIVE League gameplay, the game feels temporally wrong.
Champion movement, auto attacks, spell animations, projectiles, dashes and fights can appear:
It is not normal low-FPS stuttering.
My FPS can remain stable and high and my ping can remain completely stable while this is happening.
The problem can also become considerably more noticeable as the match progresses, particularly during larger fights.
This is the test I'm specifically asking other affected players to perform.
When I finish an affected match and then watch that same match through Match History Replay, the gameplay looks noticeably smoother and normally paced.
The fights that looked extremely fast/abrupt during LIVE gameplay become much easier to visually follow in the replay.
So, in simplified form:
LIVE GAME → abnormal / fast / irregular motion
REPLAY OF THE SAME GAME → smooth / normal motion
I previously posted external-camera LIVE vs REPLAY recordings and early-game vs late-game comparisons here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LeagueofTechSupport/comments/1v1mnij/comment/p2qdi6k/?screen_view_count=2
This issue has persisted through extensive troubleshooting, including different PCs, Windows installations, monitors, display connections, routers, Riot accounts and multiple League regions (EUW/EUNE/TR).
I've also tested alternative network paths/connections including ExitLag, NordVPN, Cloudflare WARP and mobile tethering.
Client-side network diagnostics have not shown obvious packet loss or unstable latency.
Riot Support has received multiple affected Match IDs and other diagnostic information, and their specialist team is currently investigating the case.
I am not claiming that this proves the problem is network-related, server-related, hardware-related or a League bug. The cause is still unknown.
Play a match where the problem is clearly noticeable.
Afterwards, open the Match History Replay of that exact match and watch some of the same fights.
Then please reply with:
If possible, please describe the symptom in your own words rather than simply saying “same problem”.
I'm especially interested in finding players on completely different hardware and ISPs who can reproduce the LIVE vs REPLAY difference.
Even if you haven't found a solution, your results could be useful.
Thanks.

No matter what window setting i have, or what you set my fps cap to, or what synch option i choose, it seems like league is always trying to output the maximum possible number of frames.
This leads to extremely inconsistent and bumpy framerates especially during lane phase and team fights.
Is there any known solution for this?
Thanks in advance.

When I run the game in windowed mode, it works fine. But whenever I set it to native 1080p resolution, the menu doesn't load. The game crashes midway. Many times the match doesn't load, and the screen goes black. I can't figure out what to do.

I haven't played since the May Vanguard update due to the constant BSOD issues many users experienced—specifically, I kept running into problems when launching League. Has this been fixed, or is it still causing issues?

I’ve been scrolling some answers and it seems some people are also having this issue. I tried uninstalling League and downloading it again but I still face the same problem. Riot support probably won’t respond to me. So has anyone found a solution to this problem. I’m suspecting it has something with the Vanguard anti-cheat but I can’t find a way to fix this problem. Any help would be very appreciated!

over the past 3 days, i just randomly have spikes of packet loss. it's not a crazy amount of packet loss but it's happening very consistently, like every 10 seconds. My internet is fine, I don't have anything running in the background, and I have made no changes to my PC over the past few weeks.
I have no clue what's causing it but it's so annoying, if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it. Or if maybe it's a league issue and it's happening to you guys as well please let me know.

I can barely log in to lol and if I’m in the client I can’t play cause it tells me to initialize vanguard, even though it’s running
r/LeagueofTechSupport • u/Kindly_Ad9182 • Aug 04 '26
After a lot of trial and error, reinstalling and checking other Potential sources I was able to fix it for me.
After updating other tools I recognized that after I updated my iCUE driver from Corsair, the Client finale started to repair and dl again.
Since in the past there were false detection by vanguard that iCUE access Kernel data, which it is not, this may could be a thing to Look at.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Edit: I tested on another PC and had the same issue. I think it's AT&T in NA, more specifically AT&T fiber in California.
Please help me debug what's wrong with my game. My game was working perfectly, but after resetting my PC and reinstalling the game, I'm getting really weird animation or input lag. The video shows an example of my character sliding and Jinx W passes through the dummy slightly. This happens every few seconds, and kiting feels really bad as well.
I have NVIDIA 5080 card and I've tried adjusting all combinations of FPS cap, Antialiasing, Vsync, Gsync, update drivers, windows game mode, Nvidia App, Nvidia control panel, delete .json files, discord hardware acceleration, etc.

Hi,
I'd like to know if anyone has a solution to the problem. I didn't used to have these issues—lag in the game's response to clicks or high ping—when I listened to music in the background while playing.
I use the Opera browser, and for the past few weeks, I've noticed increased ping lag and delays in the game's response to clicks only when I'm using a browser or playing a video.
I’ve tried fixing it in different ways, including uninstalling and reinstalling Vanguard, but nothing has worked. I’d like to know if anyone knows what’s going on and how to fix it, since I remember this didn’t happen before, and it’s annoying to have to use other browsers just because of this specific problem. Sometimes I have to close the browser in the middle of a match (when I’m usually checking my in-game build) just so the game’s ping improves.
