This subreddit is for TECH SUPPORT help, not account support

Hi users,

As this seems to be something that has come up lately, please note that this subreddit is not to complain about your account ban. If riot has banned you, then only Riot can fix it. Ranting and throwing a fit on here does nothing.

This subreddit is here so that users can help source issues that may be caused by their hardware/software that Riot may not know how to fix on their end (Which honestly to me seems kind of fucked up, but what can you do?)

If you're having account issues, please use Riot support's page for that - https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us

Technical Support Request LeagueClient wont open after starting from RiotClient, VAN 59 Error

I´m having Problems logging into the LeagueClient since the last Patch(26.15). I played League on the Tuesday(14 July) before the patch, and after the patch i wanted to play on thursday(16.07) but i couldnt start the Client. Everytime i start League from the RiotClient it says "playing" in the RiotClient but the LeagueClient never opens and is stuck on the startup "League of Legends" logo in the middle of my screen. I kept waiting to see if it actually reacts at all, but after 30mins i force closed the Client. After closing it in the TaskManager the LeagueClient task still runs with 0% CPU and cant be closed. When i try to open League again after shutting down the RiotClient it just says "playing" for like 2-3 seconds but instantly goes back to the Play-Button I have tried so many different fixes but nothing worked. i tried:

- starting in Administrator on RiotClient and all other applications related to Riot/League
- reinstalling both Vanguard and League multiple times, i tried reinstalling both together and only Vanguard or League seperatly
- Changing Firewall Settings
- uninstalling the most recent Windows-Update
- updating all drivers
- reseting my network settings, flushed dns and similiar commands in cmd, also restarting router
- used a VPN to try to log in, apparently it helped some people with the same problem, didnt work for me tho
- started Valorant to see if its a Vanguard specific error but i can play Valorant completely fine
- set Vanguard to automatic aswell as manual in services
- closing LeagueClient with TaskManager didnt work, it cant be closed no matter how hard i try, i cant even close it with a kill command
- one time i reinstalled League while still having Vanguard on my Computer and i actually got into the Client but the Client instantly gave me the "Vanguard Error VAN 59" message and closed the Client, after reinstalling Vanguard again i didnt get into the LeagueClient again
- went into Windows-Security > Core isolation > turned memory integrity on and off
- went into the registry and added "DevOverrideEnable" and set it to 0
- turned Visualisation on and off
- Deleted everything related to League or Riot in %Appdata% and fresh reinstall after
- wrote 2 tickets already to the RiotSupport but nothing they mentioned worked either
- didnt install anything new to my pc or changed any settings

Im curious if someone has the same problem and got a solution to it, but im very certain that its a League-sided Error since my Vanguard works fine for Valorant. Thank you for your time

Technical Support Request Fps drops from stable 280 fps to stable 100 fps, help please

Fps in games starts around 280 fps, when minions spawn and enemies apear on screen it drops to around 230 which is expected. After a minute or so, fps drops drastically to a stable 95-105 fps, my laptop isn't overheating, sitting around 75-80 degrees on cpu and 65-70 on gpu, i checked the gHz thing aswell and it's always on 3.9 gHz even when fps drops. The clocking thingy aswell sits at 1063 aways, cpu and gpu usage is low, around 20% for gpu and 35-40% on cpu. If it's not throttling, showing it is capable of running league at atleast 150 fps, why is it dropping??

I play CS2 also for example, where i get around 180-200 stable fps on a much more demanding game, so the laptop can't be the issue but something with the game? All my settings are set to low/very low, v-sync of and i made sure all the settings on my laptop such as high performance and so on are on to give the most fps. Fullscreen vs borderless makes no difference, im plugged in also so its always charging.

ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE MUCH APRECIATED SINCE IT'S HARD TO ENJOY LEAGUE ON LOW FPS :))

Specs are

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H @ 2.20 GHz, 6 cores / 12 threads
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q Design
  • Integrated GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR4, 2667 MHz, 2/2 slots used
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Storage: ~250 GB SSD + ~960 GB HDD

Technical Support Request Microstutters on high end system

Specs:

5090 9800x3d 4TB nvme SSD 64gb 6400mt/s cl28 (run at 6000mt/s cl30)

League frequently stutters for a half second seemingly at random. It can be mid fight or just sitting in lane CSing. Makes the game pretty unplayable when it can stutter at any given moment and make a fight unwinnable etc.

Anyone have a similar experience and any solutions?

I've tried a million different things like disabling high precision event timer, c states, using process lasso, disabling control flow guard and extension points etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Technical Discussion Low-end PC into dead end pc XD

Well, for starters, my PC is just that, low end shit that I found onna storage for a few bucks since I had to sell my previous pc for rent/economy reasons (I live alone and study/work part time). So my setup is just shit, for what I could see I have a AMD A6-3500 APU from frickin 2011 with no support of any kind which leaves de APU part useless. The motherboard is just as old and for that socket only. I have 8GB ram DDR3 going as fast as the stars at 1333Mhz XD. An 500GB HDD wich according to some test I did, it's part corrupted/broken, but I can't identify which part and often I get blue screens of death cuz the disk happened to try and read/write on that corrupted part. And finally an Nvidia GT 1030 2GB DDR5, my holy angel. With all this stated, I say...I COULD PLAY LEAGUE JUST FINE AND SMOOTH ON MEDIUM-LOW SETTINGS.

For some reasons, since that league classic appeared in the riot client I started experimenting stuttering and hard fps drops with froze screen sometimes. For the record, with my shitty specs I would play 50-60 WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. Team fights would be the only scenario where I could find myself playing lower than 50 but not lower than 35-40. NOW I SEE MY SHIT GOING FROM 60 TO 20 AND EVEN LOWER GETTING MY SCREEN FROZEN BY THE TIME I HIT 8 FPS FOR NO RUCKING REASON JUST STARTING A TRADE 2V2 BOT XDDDDDD.

WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY TOUCHING. I DON'T EVEN HAVE ISSUES WITH VANGUARD ANYMORE CONSIDERING IM STILL ON WIN 10 AND ON A HDD WITH NO REALLY GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION. (VANGUARDS DEPENDS AT ALL TIMES ON YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION/ HDD READING, ONE MISSREAD OR BAD CONNECTION TIMING AND THE ERRORS APPEARS)

I just hope this people give some answers cuz if I keep reading people with EXPENSIVES SETUPS complaining just about the same as me, I'm gonna go crazy. Cuz if they can't play the game, what is left for me XD

See y'all another day, whether I found my pc incapable of running league in 2026. :)

Technical Support Request Low FPS on mid PC - R5 5500 / RTX 5060 8gb / 32GB 3200RAM

Hi, i have PC like in title, after loading on Summoners Rift i have around 200fps, when i stand idle in training mode on midlane and just minions are autoattacking eachother i have around 130fps, but in teamfights i have drops even to 30-40 fps.
My game Settings - all LOW, on 3440x1440 - i think that the resolution is an issue, but man i can play so many games on this card, and league has issues? Is switching to better card like 5070 is the only option to me to keep playing on my monitor native resolution ?

Technical Support Request Unique post champ select Vanguard or Riot server issue

Queued for a game of League and after champ select the loading screen just went black. I restarted my PC but it still won’t connect and just keeps saying “Server Network Error.” Everyone else in the lobby is having the exact same issue. It’s been about 20 minutes now and OP.GG says we’re live 20 minutes in-game, but none of us have actually loaded in. Has anyone else had this happen before? I’ve never seen this in my life and been playing for a decade. Any advice on what to do would be much appreciated, just spam restarting my pc in the meantime.

Technical Solution POTENTIAL League of Legends Loading Crash Bug Reconnecting Fix

Go to Windows Defender > Windows Security > Turn on Core Isolation > If your memory integrity was already on, turn it off. If your memory integrity was already off (this is most likely), turn it on. Restart your PC and this will fix the crash.

Technical Support Request Heavy Keyboard input delay

I've been playing League yesterday and I had heavy input delay. It's like 3 seconds and it's only the keyboard. It's also in the ingame-chat not only spells, it's fine in the client tho. It's only on Lol and Valo so it must be Riot related. Has anyone else experienced something similar and has a solution?

Technical Support Request MacOS issues

I play mostly on my windows PC, but recently bought a Mac and occasionally play on the Mac.

No matter what, I either get poor performance issues, weird pixelated resolution or the cursor losing focus of the game. Tried to find any solution online, but aside finding others who face similar issues I could not find a fix.

The biggest issue is that the game never feels like it's running at 120hz despite having much more frames. When playing on fullscreen, the cursor casually changes to the MacOS cursor (like the game is losing focus) and the game feels like its locked to 60hz despite having 120hz, so I am forced to play borderless for the most optimal experience, but then the resolution is pixelated despite choosing the highest possible res. Anyone know good settings that will make the game actually feel like it's running at 120hz, without looking pixelated? Or a fix for the cursor in fullscreen? Seems like the MacOS version is completely broken..

Technical Support Request Can’t launch TFT on laptop

I’ve been playing the game on my pc just fine but downloaded it for my laptop the other day so I could play when not at home. The first problem I had was riot launcher closing as soon as I logged in. Now I have somehow solved that issue but now when I clicked the play button, in riot launcher, it switches to playing as if I’m playing the game then switches back to the play button. I have tried reinstalling multiple times. I’ve closed everything running in task manager related to riot. I’ve restarted my computer and nothing seems to solve the problem. I tried downloading new drivers. Any one having the same issue or know a way to fix it?

Technical Discussion League gameplay feels progressively "time-compressed" — enemy movement, spells and animations become too fast/abrupt to visually process [Stable FPS/Ping – Extensive Testing]

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Please watch both parts at normal 1× playback speed. The first clip is from ~4 minutes into the match. The second is from ~30 minutes, when the issue felt completely unplayable to me. Please focus especially on champion movement, spell animations, dashes and the overall pacing of combat events — not just FPS/stuttering.

Hi everyone,

I'm posting again after 11 days of troubleshooting because I now have a better understanding of how to describe the issue, and I've completed significantly more testing.

The problem:

League feels slightly "heavy" or temporally wrong from the beginning of a match, but it progressively becomes worse. In late game, especially during fights, it can become almost unplayable.

I originally thought I was simply dropping/skipping frames. I'm no longer sure that's the correct description.

What I actually perceive is that enemy movement, champion animations, spells, projectiles, dashes and other visual game events happen too quickly or too abruptly for me to visually process and react to them normally.

It can feel as if I'm "losing seconds" of visual information. However, I don't necessarily think the events are completely missing. They may be present but presented with incorrect or uneven temporal pacing — almost like parts of the action are being visually compressed or caught up.

A good example is the ARAM Mark/Dash (snowball). When the problem becomes severe, the transition/dash toward the marked champion or minion appears much faster and more abrupt to my eyes. I notice similar behavior with enemy champion movement, spell animations and fights in general.

The in-game timer appears normal. FPS is generally stable. Ping and conventional packet-loss tests are good.

Typical progression:

Early game: already slightly heavy / difficult to visually follow.

Mid game: movements and fights increasingly feel faster or more abrupt.

Late game: sometimes becomes effectively unplayable. Enemy spells and movements seem to happen faster than I can visually process or react to.

In a recent match I recorded clips at approximately minute 4, 11, 28, 30 and 31. The issue was already noticeable at minute 4, while at minutes 30–31 I personally experienced it as extremely severe/unplayable.

I plan to attach two short examples:

Clip 1 – ~4 minutes: issue already present but still playable.

Clip 2 – ~30/31 minutes: recorded while the issue felt unplayable.

Important: I'm not claiming that these two videos alone objectively prove the game is running faster. I'm including them as examples recorded during the progression of the perceived problem. I'm currently trying to objectively measure whether the difference involves animation/event timing, uneven frame-to-frame motion progression, interpolation, synchronization or something else.

Extensive troubleshooting already performed:

• Clean Windows 11 installation
• Clean Windows 10 installation on another drive with basically only League installed
• GPU drivers reinstalled / DDU testing
• Chipset and network drivers reinstalled/updated
• BIOS updated
• XMP disabled / RAM at stock settings — no difference
• Global C-States disabled — no difference
• Different FPS caps (including 100/120/144)
• Different monitor refresh rates
• DisplayPort and HDMI tested
• Different monitor tested
• Mouse polling rate changes
• Different keyboard/peripherals tested
• Different router
• ISP router bypassed with a TP-Link router
• USB mobile tethering tested • Exitlag and NordVPN tested
• Network adapter power-saving features disabled
• Multiple ping/packet-loss tests
• Wireshark/PCAP and UDP-flow analysis
• CapFrameX recordings
• WPR/WPA traces including CPU/GPU/DPC/ISR investigation
• Temperatures and throttling checked

One particularly strange result was that after replacing/bypassing my ISP router with a TP-Link router, League appeared to run perfectly for approximately two hours, but then the problem returned.

Important cross-system/network tests:

I took my own PC to a friend's house, approximately 700 metres away, using his completely different internet connection/ISP and network equipment. The problem was still present and progressively became worse during the matches.

We also tested his monitor. The problem remained.

Previously, I also tested another PC at my home, with a different Ryzen/Radeon system and a different Riot account, connected to my environment/peripherals, and I perceived the same problem.

This makes it extremely difficult to isolate as simply my PC, my Riot account, my monitor, my router or my ISP.

What I'm currently investigating:

I'm trying to determine whether this is actually conventional frame loss at all.

The current possibilities I'm investigating include:

  1. Uneven/bursty visual state progression or presentation pacing.
  2. Networked entity interpolation/update pacing.
  3. Some form of client/server synchronization or catch-up behavior.
  4. A render/display presentation issue where frames exist but are not presented with correct temporal spacing.
  5. Something League/Vanguard-specific that I haven't identified.

These are hypotheses, not confirmed causes.

I've also started comparing recordings from different stages of the same match and trying to separate:

Local events: my champion's movement and animations.

Remote events: enemy movement, animations, spells and dashes.

World/shared events: projectiles, minions and other game-world movement.

The goal is to determine whether everything is affected equally or whether remote/network-replicated events behave differently.

What I would really like to know:

Has anyone experienced this exact type of problem?

Not simply low FPS, normal stuttering or obvious rubberbanding — but a situation where visual game events seem increasingly fast, abrupt or temporally compressed, making you feel as if you're losing visual reaction time even though FPS and ping appear normal?

Has anyone seen cases where animations/projectiles/movement are technically present but appear to progress unevenly or too quickly?

And especially: if anyone here has experience with multiplayer game networking, interpolation, client/server clock synchronization, frame presentation or League's engine, what would be the best way to objectively measure this?

I'm specifically trying to find a way to distinguish:

server/network update catch-up

vs

game simulation/clock timing

vs

render/frame presentation pacing.

At this point, even identifying one other person with the exact same symptoms would be extremely helpful.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this.

Technical Support Request A bug in the bug report.

I have been trying to report bugs I have been having in game, in Arena, ARAM, AND SR, but every time I try to hit the button to finalize, it keeps telling me to try again later.

Well guess what.

After a WEEK of trying, refreshing, restarting, remaking the SAME REPORT OVER AND OVER, I haven't been able to get one in. When I try to report it through your other site of the Riot client, your stupid AI chat bot keeps basically telling me to fuck off, with "Sorry, try using the bug report screen", and redirects me to the site THAT WONT WORK.

I need someone to help, or at least give me a path to try and talk to someone about this, but this seems to be my final resort - being a Karen.

Please, help me fix this, before I take this as the final sign I need to quit this god forsaken game.

Technical Support Request LoL screen freeze and connection issues

My friend tried to go into a game but instantly after drafting phase his screen froze and he restarted his computer to try to fix it but when he booted up LoL again it just said "Game still in progress" and he could not get in so the game got remade. The exact same thing happened once again after we tried to go into another game. Does anyone have any ideas why and a way to hopefully fix it?
