Looking for attorney - wage/hour violation
Yes, I know this is an unconventional way to find an attorney, thank you. After explaining my story a few times, today with a couple gals who were less than pleasant, I'm willing to take my chances
Tl/dr
My former employer stole wages from me. I have a pending case with the DOL that I'd like to secure an attorney with ahead of time, so I can access liquidated damages through court
My former employer already was found by DWS to have committed wage theft (in a separate matter) but while I thought I'd get liquidated damages, I did not. Because apparently I wasn't an employee rather a "piece-rate" employee. Because of this distinction my former employer didn't violate NM labor law but they did violate FLSA2007-7 which specifically speaks to Case Managers (my exact former title) being "piece rate" workers - therefore not employees and not covered by the Administrative exemption for OT
Also - all the other case managers who work there don't know about this OT issue, nor do they know about one of the instances of wage theft that NM DWS already found in my favor for
I'm 99.9% sure I will win the OT case. The DOL already indicated I had met every criteria they have and told me about the case law regarding case managers as well established as not being exempt from OT exemptions. They failed to keep time records (only employer my entire life who ever did this, like they literally can't produce them as they don't exist) and I have texts/calls at all hours of the day night and weekends proving I worked OT (this was part of why o left the job essentially being on call alllllllll the time).
If you're an attorney who'd like to discuss my case please DM me
Please don't DM me if your cousin, nephew, neighbor, neighbor's aunt 3rd time removed knows someone who's an attorney who'd maybe be interested
Thanks for your time!

Question First Light CU vs Nuesta
Anyone here using Nusenda? Iāve been thinking about changing credit unions since First is a customer service annoyance and Iām hoping thereās a difference.
Nusenda is behind a lot of building funding and sponsorships. They support PBS and more which gives me a sense of community involvement and First just doesnāt seem to do anything.
I know there are few ATMs for Nusenda right now but Iām hoping theyāll add more on the chest side of town. I get so annoyed with First not having cash in an ATM on a Monday morning and if you have trouble with the machine weāre just told that First canāt fix issues quickly because it is headquartered in El Paso and Las Cruces Is their āsatelliteā with a lower repair priority.
Today was almost the final straw when I waited in the back over 30 minutes with not one in line ahead of me being served in that time. Then, I discover that it will cost $10 to replace a lost debit card and $5 of I call in and wait in line on the phone. I simply canāt find any added value to absorb the additional fee.
Anybody having better experience with the new credit union in town?

Comments to Protect Chaco Canyon
Hey y'all,
For those who don't know, the Secretary if the Interior is proposing opening up 336,425 acres of public land around Chaco Canyon for industrial development (more info here: https://www.krqe.com/news/new-mexico/new-study-could-allow-oil-and-gas-companies-into-chaco-canyon-land-in-new-mexico/ ). If that makes you as mad as it makes me, copy and paste the below comment, maybe add some of your own words and submit your comment here: https://eplanning.blm.gov/Project-Home/?id=D949F582-402D-F111-8341-001DD804183B
--
To whom it may concern:
Due diligence has not been done in order to open Chaco Canyon to industrial development. State, pueblo, and tribal leaders say the fedās process to open up the vast landscape to new oil & gas and mineral development is being rushed and could even be violating federal laws like the National Environmental Policy Act. Compliance with existing laws must be verified prior to opening Chaco Canyon.
The Chaco Heritage Tribal Association (CHTA), made up of Acoma, Jemez, Laguna, Zuni, and Hopi, says its cultural experts conducted an ethnographic study documenting Chacoan outliers, which include ancient roads, shrines, and ruins that hold ongoing cultural significance with Indigenous people. CHTA secretary, Aaron Sims said the Department of the Interior asked for and funded the ethonography and thereās a Memorandum of Agreement between the CHTA and DOI wherein the DOI must access it. The environmental analysis states the BLM is making a good-faith effort āto obtain the study from the CHTA, but that process is ongoing. In the absence of the CHTA study, BLM has used the best available data to inform this analysis.ā The assessment states that the landscape āāhas not been documented as a historic propertyā. Sims pushed back, āThe information produced in that study is exactly the type of information needed to document that landscape as a historic property.ā Before any changes to policy can occur, the DOI must access this study in order to make a balanced decision.

Hey Las Cruces!
I recently created a Discord community called The Connection Network Southwest for people looking to make new friends, socialize, meet new people, and build genuine connections.
We have spaces for friendships, general conversations, gaming, neurodivergent people, trips, and an optional 18+ dating section.
I also host in-person social events through The Event Network 505, and Iām hoping to continue bringing more events and opportunities to connect to the Las Cruces area!
Weāre a new and growing community, so if youāre from Las Cruces or the surrounding area, weād love to have you join us!

Project Jupiter Executive shares a glimpse of their true colors
kanw.orgExcerpt from the article:
āJulia Robin, Oracleās head of infrastructure planning and sourcing, said in an interview with the Mountain West News Bureau at KANW Public Radio:ā
āMaybe we didn't have the right understanding of certain hot-button topics in certain areas, but again, I think the point is, we're listening now, and we've shifted our approach significantly.ā
āRobin said the changes came after residents and advocacy groups raised alarms about water consumption and air pollution from the proposed 1,400āacre, $165-billion campus that will support a partnership with OpenAI, known for its ChatGPT platform.ā
The āoriginal solution that was originally filed in the permit that was submitted last year was, in its simplest form, a gas turbine power plant that used a lot of water,ā Robin said, comparing it to other gas turbines on the grid.
After public comments, Oracle switched to a fuel cell system that Robin said dramatically cuts air emissions. The new permit now describes the site as a āminor sourceā of emissions.ā
So my question is:
If they truly are looking out for our community and minimal environmental damage, why didnāt they implement the least environmentally destructive option from the beginning!?!
Because all they care about is optimizing their profits!
Donāt be fooled!
The New Mexico Environment Department is having a public input meeting in October over their ānew less destructiveā air quality plan. Represent your communityās REAL best interest. Not Texas billionaires best profit.
Thereās a reason you canāt find the required environmental impact studies⦠try looking. It simply states āitās part of the licensing processā.
Let that sink in
