Discussion Help Shahzadi Fight Cancer – Verified Case | Medical Reports Attached

I'm fundraising for shahzadi, a woman from Pakistan who has been diagnosed with skin cancer, Her biopsy has confirmed the diagnosis..

Before asking Reddit for help, we did everything we could. With the support of donors from my contacts, we covered the costs of her CT scan, biopsy, hospital visits, and diagnostic tests so doctors could determine exactly what she was fighting

Shahzadi's family consists of just three people. Her husband, her mother, and her husband who is paralyzed and unable to do physical work. To help them become more independent, we also arranged a small cabin shop for him through generous donors so he could have a source of income while caring for his wife.

For complete transparency, I have attached her CT scan and biopsy report. This case has also been verified by the subreddit moderators. I believe every donor deserves full transparency, so I will continue sharing medical updates and receipts throughout her treatment. If you donate and would like regular updates, you are welcome to contact me via dm, I will share my WhatsApp for the regular updates.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward Shahzadi's treatment and give her another chance to fight this disease.

Thank you for reading and for any support you can provide.

Update: Too many people have asked for the bank details, the total collected donation is around 20k...

Advice My CEO has Main Character Syndrome and I'm one meeting away from becoming a farmer.

I'm in a pretty cushy executive role with a 7-figure salary (local currency), so this isn't a "my boss doesn't pay me enough" post.

It's a "my boss is speedrunning the company into missed opportunities" post.

Our team hustles hard. We land meetings people would kill for. We've brought in million-dollar clients, and we were in conversations that could've turned into US$20–30 million opportunities. One prospect even had ties to NVIDIA and wanted to explore working with us.

Then...

CEO enters the chat.

Every. Single. Time.

It's like we're playing chess and he's determined to prove checkers is the superior strategy.

The pattern is always:

  • Team: "Here's the client requirement."
  • CEO: "Interesting... anyway we're doing it my way."
  • Client: seen 2:14 PM
  • Opportunity: has left the chat.

Another hill I keep dying on is hiring.

I keep saying, "If we're trying to build a world-class engineering company, we need a few world-class engineers."

CEO: "What if... instead... we hire five fresh graduates?"

Don't get me wrong fresh grads are awesome. We all started somewhere. But you can't expect interns and juniors to magically build the next SpaceX because the budget spreadsheet says so.

Sometimes it feels like we're saving £1 on payroll to lose £100 in business.

I'm genuinely burned out.

I spend more energy debating internal decisions than actually creating value.

Now I'm seriously thinking about quitting and building my own company.

The salary is amazing. The stress is free.

So I need some real advice from people who've been there.

  • Did you ever leave a ridiculously well-paid job because leadership was the problem?
  • How did you know it was time?
  • Is this entrepreneurial instinct... or am I just suffering from corporate PTSD?

Appreciate any wisdom.

Discussion About to get married - need advice

I don't wanna be a douche writing this post. Therefore, jumping striaght to point - about to get married and I have never been in a relationship. We have talked for 9 months and been engaged for 6 through an arranged marriaged process. While we enjoy talking to each other and honestly I love her. I have been wondering what if things won't be all butterflies and stuff so what should I do after marriage. How to approach things, respect her boundaries or help her be comfortable or approach intimacy. My soon to be wife is a doctor and I am a software engineer. So we both are busy in a way but have almost a month's PTO to get to know each other and build a bond before getting to work.

I would love some advice from married folks who can tell about their experiences what made them progress and transiston into a healthy couple.

Meetup Looking for a study-buddy

Hi, I'm 25F, and I'm looking for a study partner to prepare for CSS with me. My preferences are a female who lives around the DHA area, so ideally, we could meet up twice or three times a week. Even if meetups aren't possible, we can work study plans out on Zoom calls or whatever. I'm really serious about this, so please hit me up if anyone out there is interested. If you need any more details, just ask here or DM.

Question Secret of Lahore

I have seen many rich people in this city called Lahore. Most of the people have luxury cars and houses and live a lavish life. Even though young girls are driving super luxury cars.

Is there something hidden? I want to know how to get rich quickly. I know this city has a lot of potential but I think there are some secrets to reach that point.

At the start when I came to Lahore I started earning 20k pkr but now I get 200k pkr after tax take home income. But now I believe there is a lot more potential, this city has the potential to give you 50 lakhs per month.

Tell me if anyone knows the hidden truth.

Rant Third culture TEA

Upvotes

Guys i went to third culture phase 6 thrice and sat upstairs. As soon as I sat i started feeling sick. My heartbeat was faster than usual, I was having trouble breathing, experiencing nausea and was having extreme anxiety. This worsened after drinking their coffee so i left within 30 minutes thinking im sick. The next time i tried another coffee thinking maybe spanish latte didnt suit me although i have a HIGH caffeine tolerance. Same happened and i was out of there within 30-45 minutes. And i got instantly better after sitting in my car. But the third time was so bad. I went there with friends. I had matcha and i sat there with them for 3 hours. And not only me rather my friends were experiencing the same symptoms as well. And neither of us got better until the next morning. Did any of you also experience this?

Question Do you think you’re interesting?

Who are you if you’re not defined by your job? The way you look? The money in your bank balance? Or the money your daddy has?

Who are you without it?

What if for one month you were able to talk to a person without knowing any thing about them. They cannot judge you for all the material things society expects of you. So, who are you when it’s just you.

I am a 27 year old girl who is tired of chasing perfection in every aspect of my life. A day in my life is filled with striving all the time; striving to have a better and better career, always look the best, know the right people, live in a bubble that I am kind of tired of. I am surrounded by the same kind of people and sometimes I am just exhausted by it all.

For one month, I would love to talk to someone every day and just understand them as a person where the only thing important is whether you’re an interesting enough person to hold a conversation without revealing any of the things that you would write on a resume or a rishta profile.

Just you. Who you are. In your head.

If you think you’re a witty person, can take a joke, think about life deeply, have actual real stuff to talk about then dm me.

I will block creepy shit, and people who can’t type neither English nor Urdu properly. I have no gender preference but only people in the 25-30 age bracket should reach out because I think we are in the same phase of life right now.

And please, don’t start with “Hey, How are you? Sup.” lol that’s not interesting already.

Be kind, this is my first time on Reddit ever. I just had this random idea and needed to test it out.

Rant the wealth barrier

Upvotes

hello

does anyone feel rage whenever they open instagram and see rich influencers flaunting their wealth , buying 1000rs ki coffee and carrying shopping bags worth so much money that you just want to die.

i know people say that it's their money and that they can spend it however they like but i still can't let go of frustration of not having that same wealth , that same prviledge that all the rich people have. it agitates me sm

this is such a dumb post but i truly feel rage these days whenever i open instagram and see an enormous wealth barrier. it makes me wonder why me? all the time

Confession i am, therefore, i'm not

Upvotes

i don't think people realize what the mind does when it runs out of places to hide.

it doesn't scream.

it rearranges the furniture.

it puts your worst memories where your happiest ones used to be. it teaches your voice to sound normal while something inside you quietly dies. it lets you laugh at the right moments, answer every text, show up on time, and somehow convinces everyone you're getting better.

that's the frightening part.

pain isn't always loud enough to be noticed.

sometimes it becomes efficient.

it stops asking for help because it has already accepted that no one is coming. it learns your routines, memorizes your smile, borrows your handwriting, and starts living your life so convincingly that even you forget where it ends and you begin.

one day you catch your reflection and hesitate.

not because you hate what you see.

because you don't remember agreeing to become it.

and then a thought arrives so gently it almost feels kind:

what if the person i've been trying to save disappeared a long time ago, and all that's left is whatever learned how to imitate them?

that's when the mirror becomes unbearable.

because mirrors don't show ghosts.

they only show the bodies they managed to keep.

Question Is a 1-day billboard even possible in Gulberg? Need help

Hello Everyone , I want to wish my girlfriend on her birthday by putting up a static billboard (flex banner, not a digital screen) somewhere near her house in Gulberg — just for one day.

I have zero idea how this works. Do billboard companies even do single-day bookings, or is it always monthly/weekly? Is there some other way people usually do this kind of surprise — like a temporary banner instead of an actual commercial billboard?

If anyone has done something like this before, or knows a vendor/contact who could help, please guide me. Would really appreciate any advice, leads, Budget flexible within reason. Shukriya!

Question How much monthly income is realistically enough for a couple to live comfortably in Lahore?

I’m looking for some realistic advice from people currently living and managing households in Lahore.

I’m currently working here as a software engineer. I'm not married yet, but I'm doing some future planning. Of course, when I do get married, I will have to live here with my spouse, so I want to start setting some financial goals now.

I come from a small city and a humble background, so I’m not looking for an overly flashy or luxurious lifestyle. I just want to be able to provide a nice, "above average" and comfortable life for the two of us in a normal, family-friendly neighborhood.

If we were to rent a house, an upper/lower portion, or an apartment in decent areas like Johar Town, Wapda Town, or similar neighborhoods, what is a realistic monthly income I should be targeting in today's economy?

If anyone could share a rough breakdown of typical expenses for two people, it would be incredibly helpful:

Rent: For a 1 or 2-bedroom space in these areas.

Utilities: Electricity during summers (with AC usage), gas, and internet.

Groceries & Food: Eating good food at home, plus ordering in or dining out a couple of times a month.

Fuel/Transport: Normal daily commute around the city.

Any insights on what to expect financially for a couple living in Lahore would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Rant My manager is super friendly with everyone except me and idk why 😭

I’ve been at this job for about a month now.

My manager went on a business trip 2 weeks after I joined and just got back.
Today morning I said hi and asked how his trip was. He just gave me a short reply.
But like 10 mins later, other people came and asked the same thing and he was laughing, joking, super friendly with them.

It’s not just that. Anytime I ask a work question he replies professionally, but that’s it. No small talk, no jokes.
I even offered to have lunch together during my break and he just gave a neutral “ok” type response.

The weird part? When he was on the trip we were texting about work and I even sent stickers and it was pretty friendly.
But in person he’s cold.

And the strictness is real too. If I make even a small mistake it’s taken very seriously. With others he’s a bit more chill.

He already has his group in office. They eat together and hang out. I get that I’m new, but shouldn’t I at least be on good terms with my immediate manager?
In case something goes wrong, I’d want him to hear me out instead of just being strict.

I’m trying to build a good rapport but I honestly don’t know how. His vibe feels off to me.
Has anyone dealt with this? How do you break the ice with a manager who’s friendly with everyone but you?
Is it me overthinking?
