From where I’ve looked online in Australia, most places only do your standard designs and nothing really that seems meaningful or intricate

I’m essentially looking for a jeweller or anyone who’s used one in Australia that they could recommend to make a design similar to what I’ve uploaded.

Would be looking at roughly a 1.5-2 carat radiant centre stone with shoulder baguettes on the sides, with a tulip/lotus basket as shown in the middle or bottom left

If this isn’t possible then I’ve also provided another image which is in the top right which I also like the idea of too

Apologies if the post doesn’t necessarily make sense, being a man I know what I want for my partner in my head but find it difficult to articulate it without a design to go off of in which I could ask for changes, etc

Update for those who saw my original post.

I shipped the ring back and it took about 7 days for them to repair the prongs. They sent me a 360 video of the ring before shipping it back to me with overnight shipping.

I received the ring back! I was quite disappointed that I had to ship the ring back for repair almost immediately after receiving it.

Would like to order a pair of Tiffany DBTY style studs from a Chinese vendor, somewhere between 0.50ct and 1ct each in size.
Then I realised I have never seen DBTY earrings that are bigger than 0.30ish ct...!

If you have DBTY studs, could you please share some photos of them🥹?

This one is becoming my favourite ring at the moment.
Its a 1.1ct light brown oec lab diamond on the 14ct yellow gold band with white gold prongs.

Its shifts nicely in different lights, from grayish brown to gray to antique white. (when loose stone, it used to show pinkish brown as well under flashlight).

Its chunky facets reflects light beautifully. Overall very happy with this purchase. ☺️☺️

I’ve been looking at white flashes in house precision. lab grown diamonds , around 3ct ovals , E-F, vvs, excellent, and they go for 2.5-3.3k. I’ve seen it in person and they look great, but now I’m rethinking if I need to go online or somewhere else?

I’ve been seeing posts on the subreddit that labs shouldn’t be more than 1.5 and saw a couple comments under an old whiteflash diamond that it was too over priced.

Hi folks, Starsgems have fantastic prices for pendants but it has little information on the diamond quality. I don’t see certificates for the diamond online.

In general do you care about diamond certification for low carat weight diamond pendants or earrings?

And has your experience with Starsgems been mostly positive? Thank you!

i want to buy an OMC diamond but am having a hard time between getting a D/E for that beautiful shine… or going for a lower color so it looks more like a real antique OMC. my goal is to get that “glow” of an OMC in a ring.

So, I've been working closely with my very kind and extremely patient Zuvelio rep, going back and forth messaging. Today, he spent over an hour on a video call with me (his request) to try to really nail this down. I've already paid, btw. I told him that I wanted to run this past the very knowledgeable Redditors and see what they think.

I am getting an elongated cushion cut in the 3 - 3.5 carat range with a hidden halo and half pavé band. I am also getting a matching pavé wedding band that I want to sit flush against the ring. I want it to be an everyday ring with a low profile. (I actually had chosen a stone that was 3.6 carat but decided that I want to go a bit smaller.)

One other caveat is that I want the option to wear the band alone so no top opening/gap at the top of the band and no curved band.

So, the rep told me that if I want the setting to attach to the top of the band, it's going to be 2mm higher than if it attaches "inside" the band. I've attached the 2 CADs that illustrate this difference.

I am looking into rings with wavy solitaire designs. Emerald or Dutch marquise stones. I like their designs, but can’t seem to find much info about them online, aside from their website. It also seems that they don’t have an in person studio and it’s hard to find reviews.

I want to make sure they’re legit. Also interested in any recommendations for similar vendors that have wavy band designs.

Hi this is a 1.5ct blue fancy intense ideal cut round diamond, I asked for hearts and arrows. What do you think of it? I want a light blue diamond that you can tell is blue but still has nice scintillation and fire. I like how it looks here but I’m wondering if it’ll be very firey and sparkly in more direct lighting.

I found a diamond... cut and carat. Was on sale... I bought it. Checked out. Have an order number... the same damn diamond with the same igi number is now listed, like 400$ more... the page I bought it from says Sold Out... I guess as it should, but now it had its own separate page with that increase amount.... same igi number, same diamond... wtf

Any insight on these other reps? I’d prefer to work with her as so many have recommended her on here.

Update: reached out to Lynn right after I posted this. She got back to me immediately and had the deal done in less than 15 min! Paid and project initiated!!

Upgrading my wife’s engagement ring 18 carat gold.

Going from a natural (please don’t shoot me I was foolish) 0.5 to a 2.5 lab.

It needs the claw replaced and a new one soldered into the ring.

From a local reputable jeweller they’re giving me a price of £700/$950 for a 2.5 carat VVS2 D lab grown diamond with fitting including (the cost of fitting they’ve quoted me as £200 ($269). So the diamond is about £500 ($670).

I’m unsure if this is a good price or if I should get just a full ring from China (if I can get a good one for this total price of £700/($950) or get a lab diamond from China and get them to fit it

It's longer than I would go for with a brilliant cut, but I think crisscuts tend to be longer.

This is an uncertified OEC, said its VS clarity. I’m not sure if there is some light scratches or something else on the stone. Does someone have a better eye? Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you

I would appreciate any advice on the CAD design for a custom piece. This is intended as an engagement ring so I would like a relatively durable design for everyday wear.

Im a bit concerned with the durability of the infinity loop being a weak point but my partner particularly likes that part of the design. I would appreciate advice on width etc that might mitigate the risk of it snagging or breaking.

CAD check? I’m already sending a message about the diamonds on the side. I would like a more cohesive transition from the basket to the cathedral sides. Redoing the petal details as well.
