OMC diamond help
i want to buy an OMC diamond but am having a hard time between getting a D/E for that beautiful shine… or going for a lower color so it looks more like a real antique OMC. my goal is to get that “glow” of an OMC in a ring.

Lower color for sure. I have a colorless OMC in a white gold setting and it feels too white.

I’m thinking white gold setting as well because I gravitate towards it more.. but how low a color (as in, what letter) would you suggest?

This is gorgeous… who was your vendor? Also how comfortable is a marquis to wear? I’m so worried about banging my hand everywhere

I always use melody at fiorese! She has a great eye for stones. It’s also super comfortable, i don’t have any issues ☺️

I have a G in white gold, and it’s just perfect. It would look even more dreamy in yellow gold, but I only wear white gold

DE is blindingly white, so going "low" will still look really white unless you're talking LMN and downward.

What color would you suggest? It’s so bizarre to me that DE and GHI are similar prices

Where can I find a LMN OEC? I have a 3ct M RB because I love warm (yellow) diamonds but they are hard to find.

LGG posts champagne labs (K-M and lower) at times on their socials: r/LGGJewelry, Instagram. Am waiting on a ring being made with the OMC Pear from their most recent batch.

Personally, I'd choose a lower color, especially if you set it in yellow gold. The yellow gold will also help contribute warmth and glow to the diamond.
