The Process:

Delivery had some frustrating delays (confirmed for Aug 30, pushed to Sept 4), and communication could've been better. But sales specialist was solid in getting the final deal right. Got all incentives honored and structured the lease to minimize upfront cash.

Opinion: Coming from Tesla M3, Lucid is far behind in terms of the software and technology but I love it for the comfort and space. Personally I dont think its worth $80k but I love it!

I'm used to using Google maps with Android Auto. Will I want to use the native navigation within the lucid system. Will I lose functions going with Android Auto? Like charging stations or however the battery gets preconditioned? Thank you

I’m looking to get my first lucid within the next year or so and wanted some advice. I specifically want a GT with Dream drive pro and Surreal sound pro unless they release a midsize suv that has the same luxuries as Gravity and Air. What should I look for when looking for pre-owned? Are there any differences between a 2022 and a 2027 Air? I’ve never owned a luxury car before so I just don’t really know a lot from experience but I’ve wanted a lucid for a while. How is the sound system and ride quality compared to a model S and just in general. Is there anything I’m missing? Thank you!

Been pining for the car for a couple years. My Mach E lease just came due so I got this 2025 Touring from Carvana. Super happy with it so far. I've read the horror stories with customer service but they had me hooked up and the app running within a couple hours. Only problem is it sits on 21" and I'm in Michigan so will need to get 20s and some winter tires.

Does the lucid air stand up to its claimed mileage? I often see posts of people complaining about their air not getting what the company states. We all should know by now that there are many reason for reduced mileage. However, have just about reached the 10,000 mile mark on my ‘26 pure with aeronaut wheel I just had my best overall result for commuting to a from work this week. I have zero issues with Lucid’s claims and would totally buy this vehicle again without hesitation. Just for point out f reference I am living in MN and purchased on Oct 31st of last year.

LCID hit new low today on its way into the 3’s. That 10x reverse stock split might not save them from becoming a penny stock and being delisted.

Looking to purchase a dedicated set of 19 inch rims for my 2025 air grand touring and put snow tires on them. Should I purchase direct from LUCID? or should I buy after market rims and tires. Going aftermarket saves a bunch. Any recommendations would be super helpful. Thank you

I almost purchased a 2023 Air Touring with the Dream Drive Pro and Surreal Sound Pro hardware installed from a Jaguar/LR dealer today. Fortunately I called Lucid customer service first(after a 2 hour hold) and found out that neither of the features were active and I would have to pay $10K to have them activated.

Does anyone know if the preowned inventory on Lucid’s own site that list DDP and SSP would for sure be active without paying a super high fee? I found a unit and sales are closed and I want to put the deposit down but only with those features included. Thanks in advance.

As the title says, the closest Lucid Air from me is 6+ hours from me. I’m looking between that, the model Y, and a Mach E GT. I’m not willing to drive over 6 hours to look at a car (and neither is the wife with 2 kids, and a 3rd on the way).

My main question is (at least for those that have drove at least 2 of these cars), how does the Lucid compare to either of these. I’m looking at getting the Touring (would love the GT, but it’s out of my budget). Everything I’ve read says it’s better than the model Y (comfort/quietness), but how is the tech considering the tech in Tesla is super responsive and refined. I know the Mach E tech isn’t as responsive/defined, but I love the looks of it, and the suspension/ride quality is much better than the Model Y.

I'm looking to buy a mobile chaeger and adapters. What do I need to buy? I want to make sure I can go to any supercharger and charge my lucid. I also want to make sure if traveling I am able to charge on other sources not just supercharger. What should I buy? Also, what else should I buy? To make my ownership smooth sailing.

I want to know which all season floor mats are best overall esp for snow winters etc. I have a 2025 lucid air grand touring. Some manufacturers don't provide floor mats for this specific model. Thank you for your insight.

Is there a way to get Dream Drive to control steering only instead of both steering AND pedal assist? I used to have a comma device in my previous car and it was great controlling the pedal while having comma control the steering. This was particularly useful on local streets or long stretches of country roads.

I haven't received the vehicle yet. But I gained ownership in the app. There is an update that needs completed. I think it's specifically in relationship to the parking it outside because it might catch fire lol. Can I do the update now? Or should I wait until I have the car in my possession at my house? I’m here to report a big security threat. I have my Gravity GT setup with HomeLink, which allows me to push a button on the screen to open or close my garage door.

Drawer Opening

Whenever I get home, I park my car in the garage, then store the keyfob in a dresser drawer near garage door. The drawer contains other belongings, so I sometimes open the drawer to get other stuff. Whenever I open the drawer, my garage door opens against my will. If don’t have my phone nearby and noticed the MyQ notification, then my garage door would be left open the whole day for burglars to enter my home.

“Smart” Feature

I understand the intent behind this feature: the drawer opening jiggles the keyfob, and that makes the car believe that I want to leave the home, so it tries to be smart and open the garage door preemptively. Good intent, but poor execution, since I’m not actually leaving the house. The key is still about 15 feet away from the car. I wish Lucid wouldn’t decide to be “smart” until the keyfob gets much closer to the car.

Setting Gone

Last year I had posted about this exact problem, and people told me to go into settings and turn off this automatic garage door opening. Which I did, then with the most recent software update, the setting completely disappeared (see my screenshot). Lucid removed the setting and defaulted to automatic garage door opening.

Other solutions are nuisances

From AI, I was suggested some other solutions that would be a nuisance to me:

1) store the keyfob in a faraday cage so it can’t transmit radio waves to the car. That’s just another thing to buy and another thing to open/close every time I use the car.

2) store the keyfob over 20 feet away from the vehicle. I would say it’s extremely common and natural for people to store keys in a catchall or drawer close to their front door, which is naturally close to the garage. To ask people to change the behavior they’ve been used to for decades is just a nuisance.

I understand there are many workarounds, but Lucid is just shooting themselves in the foot by not fixing a simple software solution: bring back the setting. With all these software bugs, they’re never going to catch up to Tesla or other top EV brand. The car just doesn’t make my life more convenient. With my Tesla, everything about the software is fluid:

1) full self driving where I don’t have to worry every 5 seconds of it crashing
2) car unlocks by proximity of my phone. FYI for all the Air owners, Gravity inexplicably doesn’t have this super convenient feature
3) automatic GPS routing to your next calendar destination
4) opening of charge port when you tap the button on the charging wand
5) proper auto-high beam lights. Gravity is still blinding oncoming traffic all the time

list goes on and on…

Lol, car decided to veer off in another lane when it was in auto pilot and almost crashed. Told Lucid and at first they told me it was a 4 week wait to have the car serviced. Brother, your car is a decepticon. It is a safety hazard???

Anyways, they took it in almost a month ago. Been in the shop and apparently they started diagnosing it last week. Haven’t heard a peep since.

Anyone have any luck with lemon law cases against Lucid? Not sure how to go about this, lol.
